Pet Mod [Gen 8] Crossover Chaos

Talk about convenient- that slate lines up with my planned submission!

"That's that, and this is this."

Pokémon: **Roland**
Franchise/Origin: Library of Ruina
Type: Normal
Ability: Trace
Notable moves: Sketch
Stats: 60 HP/60 Atk/60 Def/60 SpA/60 SpD/60 Spe (BST: 360)
Reasoning: Meet Roland, the second main character of the sequel to Lobotomy Corporation, Library of Ruina. He claims to be a former Grade-1 Fixer who got demoted to Grade 9 because he only did recon. Roland's singular notable move and his ability are based on the key mechanics that make up Library of Ruina: as the Library defeats guests and turns them into books, those books can then be burned to grant new pages which the librarians, Roland included, can equip to allow them to perform different attacks in combat, as well as grant them different passive abilities (Specifically, those of the defeated guests). These are divided into two types: Key Pages, which is where Trace comes from, and Combat Pages, which is where Sketch comes from. Due to this versatility, Roland's stats are fairly balanced across the board, though rather low, and he has the generic Normal-typing.

Roland gets the Slate Bonus because amongst the pieces of history he shares early in the game, one of the things was that he fought in a historical conflict called the Smoke War.

Changes form to Roland-Black-Silence with the item Gloves of The Black Silence. Upon changing forms to this form, Roland cannot change back. Gloves of the Black Silence cannot be removed from Roland-Black-Silence. Additionally, Roland loses access to Sketch and any move that is learned by Sketch upon entering this form.

Pokémon: **Roland-Black-Silence**
Franchise/Origin: Library of Ruina
Type: Normal
Ability: The Black Silence
Signature Ability: The Black Silence: Roland's moves ignore resistances. Roland takes half damage from Fighting-type moves. Every third move Roland uses, except Z-Moves, has its power doubled (The counter resets upon being switched out). This ability cannot be copied or disabled.
Notable moves: Atelier Logic, Mook Workshop, Wheels Industry, Durandal, Allas Workshop, Ranga Workshop, Crystal Atelier, Old Boys Workshop, Zelkova Workshop, Detect. These are the only moves Roland-Black-Silence gets.
Signature Moves
Atelier Logic
: Base 35 Power, 100 Accuracy, 12 PP, Normal-type, Physical. Hits three times. Does not make contact.
Mook Workshop: Base 90 Power, 100 Accuracy, 12 PP, Normal-type, Physical. Increases Speed by 1 stage. Slash-based.
Wheels Industry: Base 140 Power, 90 Accuracy, 12 PP, Normal-type, Physical. If the move fails, the user loses 50% of their maximum HP.
Durandal: Base 40 Power, 100 Accuracy, 12 PP, Normal-type, Physical. Hits twice. Raises the user's Attack by 1 stage per hit. Slash-based.
Allas Workshop: Base 50 Power, 100 Accuracy, 12 PP, Normal-type, Physical. Hits Twice. Reduces the target's Attack or Special Attack by 1 stage per hit, dependant on the target's higher attack stat.
Ranga Workshop: Base 85 Power, 100 Accuracy, 12 PP, Normal-type, Physical. Inflicts passive damage to the target afterwards for 1/12 of their maximum HP for 3 turns or until they switch out. Slash-based.
Crystal Atelier: Base 90 Power, 100 Accuracy, 12 PP, Normal-type, Physical. Increases the user's Defense or Special Defense by 1 stage, dependant on the target's higher attack stat. Slash-based.
Old Boys Workshop: Base 75 Power, 100 Accuracy, 12 PP, Normal-type, Physical. Restores the user's HP for 50% of the damage dealt.
Zelkova Workshop: Base 90 Power, 100 Accuracy, 12 PP, Normal-type, Physical. For the rest of the turn, Roland gains a Rocky Helmet-esque effect, dealing damage to an opponent who makes contact equal to 1/8 of their max HP. Slash-based.
Signature Z-Move
Furioso
: Upgraded from any of Roland-Black-Silence's signature moves with Gloves of the Black Silence. Base 150 Power, Normal-type. For every one of Roland-Black-Silence's signature moves he has used this battle, this move's power increases by 25%. Additionally, reduces the target's Attack, Special Attack, Defense, and Special Defense by 1 stage.
Stats: 100 HP/110 Atk/100 Def/70 SpA/100 SpD/120 Spe (BST: 600)
Reasoning: I only said Roland claimed to be a former grade 1 fixer, didn't I? The truth is much different: Roland actually used to be a Color Fixer called the Black Silence, and he only got demoted as a result of his massive grief-fueled rampage after the death of his wife Angelica. This form is based on when he reclaims his identity as The Black Silence near the very end of the game, signified by him getting his gloves back, which serve as a sort of hammerspace that holds all of his weapons. Roland's stats all go up by a significant degree except his special attack. He sacrifices the ability to copy moves and abilities (In his actual game, Roland CANNOT remove the Black Silence's Key Page or change the Combat Pages on it once he acquires it) or hit anything super effectively, for 9 highly powerful moves, each based to some degree on what each of the combat pages they are based on do in Library of Ruina themselves: Atelier Logic is a ranged move that hits three times, Mook Workshop restores lots of light for more plays, translating to speed gain, Wheels Industry is the massive hitter, its HJK-esque recoil relating to its huge light cost, Allas Workshop reduces the target's offensive power, Durandal buffs Roland's attack power, Ranga Workshop inflicts Bleed on the target, Crystal Atelier starts with a defensive dice (Technically an evade dice, but Evasion Clause, so I made it raise defenses instead so that Roland can actually use it outside of Ubers), Old Boys Workshop restores Roland's HP as a reference to it restoring his Stagger Resist, and Zelkova Workshop has the Rocky Helmet-esque effect referencing the fact that it has a counter die attack on it. Every move that is Slash-based is so because it has at least one of its attack dice deals slashing damage in the home game.

Roland's ability has three effects. The first is a must have to make Black Silence Roland viable at all (as otherwise, Mono-normal coverage would be hard walled by any rock or steel-type, both common types. He still can't do anything to Ghosts, though). The second is based on the fact that the Black Silence Key Page (which, by the way, is exclusive to Roland and Roland alone, hence why the ability cannot be copied) has no weakness to any type of damage in Library of Ruina (and resists Blunt Damage, which would account for basically all fighting-type moves) and the third effect is based on the Black Silence's unique passive. In that game, every third page he used would gain +2 power on all of its offensive dice.

His Z-Move, Furioso, is adapted similarly: In his source game, once The Black Silence used all nine of his combat pages, he would gain access to the ability to use Furioso. This is where the power bonus it gains from Roland's other moves comes from- though ONLY his signature moves. Detect does not contribute to the power bonus for Furioso. The omni-stat drop is based on Furioso's other effect in its game, where it inflicts Fragile (opponent takes extra damage) and Paralysis (Forces an opponent's offensive die to roll minimum). Detect was picked over Protect to better fit the world of LoR.

Trying something new for themed slates w/ bonuses... granted this is the best opportunity to resubmit something well fit for the current one.

(Resub)

"Let us lead everyone to victory."
Pokémon: M4A1 (Base Form)
Franchise/Origin: Girls' Frontline
Type:
/

Abilities: Friend Guard (HA: Rattled)
Other Moves:
: Quick Attack, Strength, Metal Burst, Counter, U-Turn, Pound, Endeavor, Return, Hold Back, Last Resort, Reversal, Acrobatics
: Sonic Boom
: After You, Baton Pass, Follow Me, Lock-On, Mist, Focus Energy, Ally Switch, Detect
Signature move:
Bullet Burst –
– 25 BP – 20 PP - 85% - Hits 2 to 5 times. Each strike has a 10% chance to lower the target's Defense by 1 stage.
Stats: 55/107/94/69/61/85 (BST: 471)

Reasoning: Steel-type due to being a T-Doll, a humanoid android. The Normal typing reflects her "ordinary" and publicly moral and polite behavior pre-MOD 3. Friend Guard reflects her amicable, pre-MOD3 personality while Rattled signifies the part where her personality takes the turn for the worse. A good chunk of her stats was calculated using her own stats as seen in-game. Most moves picked were chosen to either provide STAB options or being suitable for her more passive actions during battle compared to her Neural Upgrade. A good amount of Status moves was chosen for utility purpose as the de-facto leader of Anti-Rain. Ally Switch was also chosen due to the in-game mechanics of battles within GFL.

Evolves to M4A1 (Mod3) at Level 44 when she is the only party member alive (she is the only 1 party member in a team or all other Pokémon except her have fainted).

"You don't need your spine anymore, do you?"
Pokémon: M4A1 (MOD3)
Franchise/Origin: Girls' Frontline
Type:
/

Abilities: Defiant (HA: Anger Point)
Other Moves:
: Quick Attack, Strength, Metal Burst, Counter, U-Turn, Pound, Endeavor, Frustration, Last Resort, Reversal, Acrobatics, Revenge, Pursuit, Sucker Punch, Extreme Speed, Bullet Burst, Shadow Sneak, Lash Out, Thrash, Outrage, Magnet Bomb
: Sonic Boom, Flame Burst, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Wring Out, Dark Pulse, Burning Jealousy, Flash Cannon
: After You, Baton Pass, Follow Me, Lock-On, Mist, Focus Energy, Ally Switch, Agility, Wide Guard, Safeguard, Spite, Taunt, Torment, Parting Shot, Destiny Bond, Barrier, Detect
Signature move:
Avenger's Seal –
– 100 BP – 10 PP - 100% - Flame Burst clone but deals 1/8 damage to adjacent Pokémon instead of 1/16.
Stats: 65/115/119/95/61/85 (BST: 540)

Reasoning: Steel-type due to being a T-Doll, a humanoid android. Her MOD3's drastic personality change resulting in the Dark typing to surface. Defiant and Anger Point really hammer this new personality of hers in due to her increased irritability and ruinous anger once provoked to the limit. Carrying a good chunk of moves from her base form to this form, she is packing various Dark and Ghost moves due to her newly found used of suspicious pragmatic and somewhat ruthless tactics. Her new stats also reflect that fact that her unique equipment in-game gives her armor points, which factor into her Defense stat as such. Barrier, Agility, and Wide Guard reference her skills during the eventful battle with a certain Touhou wannabe in Shattered Connexion. She has unusually high BST for a 5-star T-Doll for being the de-facto main heroine of Girls' Fronline and being especially powerful as such. Fire type moves were given for coverage and for thematic purpose… and for the fact she has a new cannon that can launch such "magic-based" moves at her disposal, increasing her Special movepool tenfold.

Code:
M4A1 MOD3 (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spd
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Parting Shot
- Sucker Punch
- Bullet Burst
- Reversal
Slate Bonus Reasoning: The theming qualification is already implied with Girls' Frontline, a military mobile game, which is well-suitable enough for the slate just like Metal Gear and Call of Duty. What makes M4A1 very well qualified for the slate bonus is due to her franchise's lore: where Tactical Dolls like her were created in the wake of World War III, lasting roughly 7 years, a global catastrophe of a war that left her world in shambles. Tactical Dolls are modified Android Dolls created to fill in the gaps left by the casualties of World War III as a substitute for human soldiers. As the main character of the first game (2016), she is the de-facto leader of Anti-Rain, a elite subset of Tactical Dolls with no real backup lives to speak of (with one notable exception), making them valuable for both lore and in-game reasons. She leads the way for Griffin & Kryuger and the Commanders they hire and procures various amount of development through many events and missions, especially consideing she has many traits that paint her like a shell-shocked veteran that has seen much of the gritty side of the war, justifying the fact that Girls' Frontline is one of the darkest mobile gacha games from the Eastern world of video games to ever exist.

"I will have order!"
Pokémon: Zhongli
Origin: Genshin Impact
Typing: Rock
Ability: Solid Rock
Moves: Drill Run, Earth Power, Earth Pillar (From Kragg), Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Ancient Power, Power Gem, Substitute, Stealth Rock, Rock Tomb, Outrage, Lash Out, Imprison
Signature Move: Dominus Lapidus (50BP Rock-type Special move, hits all adjacent. 15-24PP, 100% Accuracy. Charges turn 1, hits and sets up a Jade Shield turn 2, which is basically Aurora Veil. Jade Shield, Aurora Veil, and Reflect/Light Screen do not stack.)
Z Move: Planet Befall (250 BP | Rock | Moraxium Z required | Special | Has the scaling properties of Water Spout, Dragon Energy, and Eruption, and hits all adjacent opponents. Inflicts -1 Speed. | must know Dominus Lapidus)
Stats: 126/96/94/96/94/94 [BST 600]

Reasoning: Just as a heads-up, a lot of the reasoning for him revolves around his true identity as Morax, the Geo Archon referred to as "Rex Lapis" by the subjects he has a millennia-long history of ruling over. This includes Substitute and Outrage from the draconic body he uses during the Rite of Parting, the latter also working very nicely due to its JP name implying anger from insubordination, and Morax, being the God of Contracts and all, is a huge stickler for not breaking contracts lest he strike the contract breaker where it hurts in an act known as the “Wrath of the Rock”. His stats were calculated just like Xiao's, with a mixed focus because his main damage output is not his normal spear attacks, but rather his meteor (which is merely special to match the base move), and he's also used for his held skill, a shockwave that sets up a barrier around him that soaks up damage before expiring and as of 1.3, summons a stone pillar just like the pressed variant if Zhongli hadn’t already done that. His BST is somewhat high because Morax is an Archon and Tartaglia and Venti’s voicelines both suggest they’d lose to Zhongli, bear in mind that Venti is the other Archon War veteran among The Seven, though admittedly power-level-wise is past his prime, and Tartaglia is implied to be even more dangerous than La Signora, who defeated Venti and stole his Gnosis without breaking a sweat. Back to explaining, the meteor Zhongli drops also petrifies most enemies, the only attack in the game to do so thus far, which I represented as -1 Speed. Also it's hinted that the composition of Archons might consist purely of elemental energy, so that's why there's no subtype on him.

"Personally, I prefer the air!" (I couldn't find a good quote for him, sooo...)
Pokemon: Revali
Franchise: The Legend of Zelda
Type: Fighting/Flying
Stats: 80/125/80/80/80/135
Abilities: Defiant / Skill Link / Great Eagle Bow
Great Eagle Bow: makes the following moves have 1.33x power and hit both opponents in double battles: Arrow Shot, Thousand Arrows, Icicle Spear, Pin Missile, Arrow Flurry, Light Arrow, Spirit Shackle
New Move: Arrow Flurry: Fighting type | Physical | BP: 25 | Acc: 100% | PP: 20 (max: 32) | hits 2-5 times; does not make contact; blocked by bulletproof
New Move: Revali's Gale: Flying Type | Status | Acc: N/A | PP: 5 (max: 8) The pokemon flies up into the air, causing most attacks to miss it. This lasts until when the user attempts to use a move, even if it fails (sleep, flinches, etc.). (move banned)
Other Moves: Arrow Shot (from Orion), Thousand Arrows, Pin Missile, Icicle Spear, Aerial Ace, Brave Bird, Acrobatics, Close Combat, Smart Strike, Roost, Defog, Spikes, Tailwind, Taunt, U-Turn, Glide Strike (from Knuckles), Quick Attack, Air Slash, Bomb Throw and Bomb Blast (both from Pandora), Fling, Dual Wingbeat, Fly, Feather Dance, Low Sweep, Hone Claws, Quick Guard, Sky Attack, Torment, Throat Chop, Pluck, Barrage, Double Team (lol), Swagger (also lol), Hurricane, Agility, Focus Energy, Snipe Shot, Reversal, Steel Wing, Wing Attack, Endure, Coaching, Whirlwind, Sky Drop, Detect, Peck, Drill Peck, Ancient Power, Extreme Speed, universal moves
Gigantamax forme:
1619302981171.png

Revali boards Devine Beast Vah Medoh for his Gigantamax forme.
G-Max Move: G-Max Ancient Wind: Flying type | sets Tailwind on the user's side of the field
Reasoning: Falco Revali is a Rito warrior from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which explains why he gets the slate bonus and the Fighting typing. Flying because he's a bird. Defiant, whose Japanese name translates to "competitive spirit" because of how Revali is envious of Link being treated as a more important part of bringing down Calamity Ganon, plus I wanted to make all of his abilities have competitive use. Skill Link because he is said to be the most skilled Rito warrior in all of Hyrule, not to mention the fact that in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, one of his attacks has him skillfully shoot a barrage of arrows. The Great Eagle Bow is the name of his weapon of choice, and it ties in with his prowess with a bow and the fact that it shoots three arrows at once in Breath of the Wild. His stats come from how he's highly agile and skilled in battle, but not notably durable. Obviously he gets a lot of arrow moves, but not Light Arrow or Spirit Shackle because he is never shown shooting magical or supernatural arrows. Bomb Throw and Bomb Blast because he uses bomb arrows in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. Revali's Gale is the name of his technique for creating an updraft to fly up on. He also gets a lot of moves that are seen on his Fighting/Flying brethren. Lastly, his Gigantamax forme ties in with how he is chosen to be the pilot of Devine Beast Vah Medoh in the aforementioned Zelda games, which also explains Ancient Power.

"Oooh? You gonna get in my way, girlie?"
Pokémon: Tsih
Origin: SUGURI II: sora
Type: Rock
Ability: Wires (When holding an item, gains 1.3x Attack)
Stats: 70/85/55/80/60/130 (480)
Notable Moves: Skitter Smack, Feint Attack, Camouflage, Rock Blast, Rock Slide, Rock Wrecker, Power Gem, Meteor Beam, Flash Cannon, Thunder Wave, Taunt
Reasoning: One of the human weapons that Sora fought, who was sent after the engineers that Sora was protecting. Her most famous attack is using wires to throw rocks - she even summons them out of nowhere sometimes. Her ability is based off of her passive in 100% Orange Juice, which gives her +2 ATK when holding a Gift Card - the ones that give passive effects to the holder, similar to items in Pokémon. The name is sort of a placeholder because I can't think of a better one. Other than throwing rocks at people, she's equipped with a stealth system (hence Skitter Smack, Feint Attack, and Camouflage), can shoot beams (hence the Special moves), can send out paralyzing wires (Thunder Wave), and is a huge jerk (hence Taunt).

"With the Strength of Lords, they challenged the dragons."

1619361322199.png
"Gwyn's mighty bolts peeled apart their stone scales."
Pokémon: Gwyn
Franchise: Dark Souls
Type: Fire
Ability: Defiant / Galvanize
Notable moves: Flare Blitz, Flame Charge, Sacred Sword, Swords Dance, Will-O-Wisp, Brick Break, Low Kick, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Burning Jealousy, Solar Beam, Solar Blade, Strength, Body Slam, Endure, Morning Sun, Brutal Swing, Assurance, Lash Out
Stats: 80/125/80/105/100/110 (600 BST)

Reasoning: Gwyn is one of the First Lords in Dark Souls, and it is said that he and his army defeated the Stone Dragons with his powerful lightning miracles, but by the time we face him, Gwyn's just a shell of his former self, having sacrificed himself to the First Flame in order to keep the Age of Fire going. Since he doesn't use his lightning in his boss battle, he's not Electric-type nor does he get any Electric moves, but Galvanize hints at that former power. Defiant is there since Gywn went against the natural order of the world to keep his Age of Fire and prevent the Age of Dark. Moves are mostly related to his attacks in his boss battle, and some are flavor moves relating to his lore and previous title, Lord of Sunlight.

"The witches weaved great firestorms."
Pokémon: Bed of Chaos
Franchise: Dark Souls
Type: Bug/Fire
Ability: Flash Fire
Notable moves: Splash, Ember, Struggle Bug
Stats: 1/25/25/25/25/25 (126 BST)

Reasoning: The Witch of Izalith is another one of the four Lords, who helped Gywn in taking down the Ancient Dragons. At some point, she tried to recreate the First Flame using her own Lord Soul, but instead created the Chaos Flame, transforming herself and some of her children into the first Demons. The Bed of Chaos is the birthplace of demons, and a notorious boss for all the wrong reasons.
The bug is what the player needs to take down, after destroying the branches outside and avoiding the tree-like being that protects it. It's defenseless on its own, and dies in one hit, however it's immune to fire damage.

Evolves into Bed of Chaos(Tree)
1619359958805.png
Pokémon: Bed of Chaos
Franchise: Dark Souls
Type: Grass/Fire
Ability: Suction Cups / Blaze
Notable moves: Wood Hammer, Horn Leech, Fire Punch, Fire Lash, Brutal Swing, Earthquake, Synthesis, Ingrain, Will-O-Wisp, Growth, Energy Ball, Grass Knot, Giga Drain, Solar Beam, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Overheat, Heat Wave, Chaos Storm, Earth Power
Signature Move: Chaos Storm(Fire, Special, 110 BP, 90% acc, 30% chance of causing Burn, hits everyone on the field, including allies)
Stats: 80/130/110/135/110/35 (600 BST)

Reasoning: The tree-like being that protects the bug. It's rooted in place, hence Suction Cups, Ingrain and its low speed. During the battle, it attacks by swiping its branch-like arms, explaining the physical Grass moves and Brutal Swing. After destroying each of the branches on its sides, a fire arm sprouts from its back, and the floor in the arena begins to collapse, which explains Blaze, and the Fire and Ground moves. Chaos Storm is a pyromancy that resembles one of the attacks that the Bed of Chaos can do, making fire pillars erupt around it.

1619359978744.png
"Nito unleashed a miasma of death and disease."
Pokémon: Nito
Franchise: Dark Souls
Type: Ghost/Poison
Ability: Poison Touch
Notable moves: Shadow Sneak, Shadow Claw, Shadow Bone, Gravelord Greatsword Dance, Poison Jab, Sacred Sword, Bone Rush, Brutal Swing, Toxic, Swords Dance, Shadow Ball, Sludge Wave, Hyper Voice
Signature Move: Gravelord Greatsword Dance(Ghost, Physical, 90 BP, 100% acc, 10% chance of badly poisoning the target)
Stats: 100/130/110/100/120/40 (600 BST)

Reasoning: Nito, the first of the dead is also one of the First Lords, and reigns over death. Most of the item descriptions related to him mention his deadly miasma, and his right arm is a giant blade that inflicts toxic buildup on targets hit by it, explaining his Poison typing, moves and Poison Touch. He's a giant skeleton covered in more skeletons, so he gets some of the bone-themed moves. He can conjure a phantom blade similar to the Gravelord Greatsword Dance miracle, however his version inflicts toxic.

1619360002710.png
"And Seath the Scaless betrayed his own, and the dragons were no more."
Pokémon: Seath
Franchise: Dark Souls
Type: Dragon
Ability: Primordial Crystal
Notable moves: Dragon Claw, Dragon Rush, Outrage, Dragon Tail, Breaking Swipe, Iron Tail, Power Whip, Stomping Tantrum, Thrash, Fly, Body Press, Curse, Calm Mind, Nasty Plot, Dragon Breath, Dragon Pulse, Draco Meteor, White Dragon Breath, Ice Beam, Ancient Power, Power Gem, Flash Cannon, Burning Jealousy
Signature Ability: Primordial Crystal(Disguise clone)
Signature Move: White Dragon Breath(Dragon, Special, 80 BP, 90% acc, 10% chance of causing Ghost-type Curse on target)
Stats: 70/105/105/140/120/60 (600 BST)

Reasoning: Seath is not one of the four Lords. He's one of the Everlasting Dragons, but unlike the rest of his kind, he lacked the stone scales that made them immortal, and resents them for it, which led to him betraying them and siding with Gwyn. After being awarded dukedom for his efforts, Seath became obsessed with his research, and eventually came into possession of the Primordial Crystal, which grants him immortality much like the scales of his brethen. In the first encounter with him, Seath can't be damaged at all, and during the second one, he can only be damaged after the crystal in his arena is broken. His attacks include a lot of swiping his claws and flailing his tail and tentacles around, hence the choice of psysical moves(and he flies into the boss room during the cutscene before the second fight). He's smart, devious, and his breath attacks creates crystals that inflict curse buildup(which instantly kills the player), demonstrated by his special move's effect.

"If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight!"
Pokémon: Soldier
Franchise/Origin: Team Fortress 2
Type: Steel
Ability: Berserk / Oblivious / Steely Spirit
Notable moves: Flash Cannon, Heavy Slam, Iron Head, Bounce, Hurricane, Flying Press, Boomburst, Fire Blast
Signature move: Rocket Launch /
/
Special / 110 BP / 85% Acc. / 8 PP / If this move misses, it deals 25% of the damage that could have been dealt instead.
Stats: 80 / 105 / 70 / 105 / 65 / 75 = 500 BST

Reasoning: Ah, the Soldier, TF2's resident lunatic. I made him Steel type, not just because of his helmet, rocket launcher, shotgun, and rockets, but also for the same reason as Cobalion: his steely determination to serve America, whether or not America wants him to. This would also explain why he gets Steely Spirit. He gets Oblivious because he can't see and can't take a hint, and he gets Berserk because he is insane. Rocket Launch deals 25% damage on miss because the rockets deal splash damage in-game.

"Without your weapons, you are no match for Motaro!"
Pokémon: Motaro (Intended for Ubers)
Franchise/Origin: Mortal Kombat
Type: Fighting
Ability: Huge Power
Notable moves: Aura Sphere, Belly Drum, Blaze Kick, Body Press, Body Slam, Brick Break, Bulk Up, Bullet Punch, Close Combat, Cross Chop, Power-Up Punch, Drain Punch, etc. (Just a bunch of other physical moves that I don't want to have to write out :P)
Signature move: Bull Charge: Fighting / Physical / 150 BP / 90% Acc. / 8 PP / User cannot move next turn.
Stats: 110/150/90/100/90/80 = 620 BST

Reasoning: Motaro is a boss in Mortal Kombat. Motaro is all power, as he is trying to fight the Sho-Kahn to win Shao Khan's favor. He fits this slate theme because he fought in the war against Earthrealm in Mortal Kombat 9 (and then was promptly killed by Raiden).

"The Art of War!"
Pokémon: Splat
Franchise/Origin: Skylanders
Type: Psychic / Fighting
Ability: Defiant / Psychic Surge
Notable moves: Psycho Cut, Zen Headbutt, Brick Break, Counter, Hammer Arm, Sketch, Bonemerang, Fake Out, Flame Charge, Knock Off
Signature move: Heave Hue /
/ Physical / 90 BP / 95% Acc. / 8 PP / 10% chance to confuse the target.
Stats: 60 / 110 / 70 / 70 / 80 / 100 = 490 BST

Reasoning: Splat was a faun from a village where everything was carefully planned. The fauns learned the same music, put on the same plays, and painted the same pictures. But the only art Splat wanted to learn was the art of war! *wink, wink, nudge, nudge* Her faun elders were outraged when they found out that she was teaching herself martial arts, but respectfully stopped complaining when Splat used her skills to save her village from an invasion. Now as a Skylander, Splat fights in a war against the forces of Darkness. Splat is Psychic-type because she is part of the Magic element, and Fighting-type because she uses the staff for a lot of her attacks. She has Defiant because she defied her village to do what she wanted, and Psychic Surge because I imagine her painting the terrain onto the field. Heave Hue is Splat's secondary attack in Skylanders, and I made it a Physical attack because I wanted Splat to have another Psychic-type physical move.

"I will meditate and then destroy you."
Pokémon: Dhalism
Franchise/Origin: Street Fighter 2
Type: Fighting/Fire
Abilities: Long Reach/Levitate (HA)
Notable moves: Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Fireball, Big Fireball, Bind, Drill Run, Teleport, Flame Burst, Inferno, Power Whip, Mach Punch, Superpower, Vital Throw, Zen Headbutt, Rolling Kick, Meditate, Detect, Calm Mind, Force Palm, High Jump Kick, Counter, Fake Out, Focus Blast, Fire Punch, Sky Uppercut, Taunt, Slap, Reversal
Stats: 90/100/70/115/70/105 (550)
Reasoning: Dhalism here is not a war guy, but instead the opposite: a pacifist. So, he technically gets an anti-slate bonus. Whatever, he's a Yoga Master from India who has the ability to belch fire and stretch his limbs. Fittingly, he's a Fighting/Fire type because of this. He has Long Reach mainly to describe his stretchy limbs, and also Levitate for his ability to float. His stats are sorted into a Special Attacking role because of this, but his Attack is still decent. Fire-type moves for all of his fire-elemental moves: Yoga Fire, Yoga Flame, Yoga Inferno, Yoga Stream, Yoga Gale, and all the others. Bind and Power Whip reference his ability to stretch his limbs as well, Drill Run for Yoga Spear (it had drill in the name), Teleport for the ability to warp. Meditate, Detect, and Calm Mind for the yoga doings, Vital Throw for his stretchy throw, and a bunch of other generic moves that are fitting for a Fighting-type character and also to flesh out the movepool a bit more, mainly from Medicham.

Pokemon: Pax
Franchise: Mushroom Men
Type
:

Ability: Effect Spore, No Guard, Magic Bounce
Notable Moves: Spore Punisher, Spore, Stun Spore, Rage Powder, Power Whip, Wood Hammer, Leaf Blade, Seed Bomb, Grav Apple, Zen Headbutt, Close Combat, Gunk Shot, Poison Jab, Shadow Sneak, Sucker Punch, Psychic, Psyshock, Meteor Beam, Stone Edge, Smack Down, Poltergeist, Swords Dance, Bulk Up, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, universal moves such as Substitute.
Signature Move: Sticky Hand |
|
| 70 BP | Non-contact | Removes targets item. If target has no item or if item cannot be removed, user switches out.
Signature Z-Move: Spore Punisher |
|
| 180 BP | Requires Power Whip | Doubles damage when target has 50% or less HP. If a weakened (<50% HP) target is KO'd by this move, the Pokemon that switches in after takes 25% damage.

Stats: 85 / 114 / 80 / 80 / 85 / 96 (528 BST)

Reasoning: Pax is the protagonist mushroom from Mushroom Men series. Mushrooms in this series gained sentience and other abilities when a meteorite fell to Earth and various fungi, insects and animals absorbed meteorite dust. The meteorite caused different tribes of mushrooms to go to war against each other, called the Spore Wars. Each variety of mushroom gained different abilities and while some became crazed, evil or inventors, Pax's Bolete gained psychic abilities. Pax is able to use his Sporekinesis abilities to attack enemies with large items or psychic blasts. He uses this ability to throw rocks, garbage, apples, etc. at his opponents and often redirects projectiles back at opponents. He also can craft weapons from small, everyday items such as bottle caps and match sticks. The weapons he creates can be used as axes, swords or spears. Towards the end of the game he is also able to craft a makeshift flamethrower and zapper. These weapons have no accuracy checks and when using certain weapons, Pax cannot block. He also has a range of close combat, stealth and sneak attacks he can use to defeat enemies undetected.

One of Pax's most useful abilities is the sticky hand he finds. He uses this to be able to get to hard to reach places and briefly stun enemies with it. Pax's most powerful ability however is Spore Punisher. Spore Punisher requires a substantial amount of Spore Power and can be used a finisher move against stronger enemies. If this ability is used as a finisher, the enemy explodes and damages all other foes around it.

87 Asgore Dreemurr ideas | undertale, undertale art, asgore undertale
(This was the most decent image that wasn't from Fandom.)
Pokémon: Asgore
Franchise/Origin: Undertale
Type: Normal/Fire
Abilities: Flame Body/Rivalry/No Mercy (Permanent Taunt effect for both players) (HA)
Notable moves: Heartache (from Toriel), Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Flare Blitz, Flame Charge, Fire Lash, Sacred Fire, Sizzly Slide, Heat Crash, Will-O-Wisp, Fiery Dance, Eruption, Heat Wave, Earthquake, Earth Power, Play Rough, Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, Wish, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Calm Mind, Discharge, Rest, Slash, Night Slash, Sucker Punch, Speed Slice, Fury Attack, Superpower, Final Gambit, Tearful Look, Swords Dance, Hot Cup of Tea (from Iroh)
Stats: 120/115/100/115/100/80 (630)
Reasoning: The former husband of Toriel and king of the Underground. Fittingly, he has the same typing as her as well as her Heartache move because of his unwillingness to kill the protagonist, despite his dearest intentions. This also applies to his movepool, although it has a few things removed in favor for slicing and stabbing moves for his trident, as well as Hot Cup of Tea because he does like a bit of tea. Fittingly his stats are high for being an end boss of sorts, being mixed due to his spear arsenal. Sucker Punch can also reference his color-changing trident slash. Flame Body because he was the former husband of Toriel and thus can also be seen as a father figure, Rivalry to reference their divorce, and No Mercy disables all status moves (i.e. a Taunt effect on both sides) because his fight disables the Mercy command.

Time to try again I guess.

"That's that, and this is this."

Pokémon: Roland
Really, what else would you expect from something that's basically Smeargle but with marginally higher stats?

Changes form to Roland-Black-Silence with the item Gloves of The Black Silence. Upon changing forms to this form, Roland cannot change back. Gloves of the Black Silence cannot be removed from Roland-Black-Silence. Additionally, Roland loses access to Sketch and any move that Roland-Black-Silence cannot normally learn that was acquired via Sketch.

He sacrifices the ability to copy moves and abilities (In his actual game, Roland CANNOT remove the Black Silence's Key Page or change the Combat Pages on it once he acquires it) or hit anything super effectively, for 9 highly powerful normal-type moves, each based to some degree on what each of the combat pages they are based on do in Library of Ruina themselves: Atelier Logic is a ranged move that hits three times, Mook Workshop restores lots of light for more plays, translating to speed gain, Wheels Industry is the massive hitter, its HJK-esque recoil relating to its huge light cost, Allas Workshop reduces the target's offensive power, Durandal buffs Roland's attack power, Ranga Workshop inflicts Bleed on the target hence DoT, Crystal Atelier starts with a defensive dice (Technically an evade dice, but Evasion Clause, so I made it raise defenses instead so that Roland can actually use it outside of Ubers), Old Boys Workshop restores Roland's HP as a reference to it restoring his Stagger Resist, and Zelkova Workshop has the Rocky Helmet-esque effect referencing the fact that it has a counter die attack on it.

The stat dropping effect is based on Furioso's other effect in its game, where it inflicts Fragile (opponent takes extra damage) and Paralysis (Forces an opponent's offensive die to roll minimum). Detect was picked over Protect to better fit the world of LoR.

Pokémon: An Ice Machine
Type: Steel/Ice
Ability: Heatproof / Aftermath / Heavy Metal
Moves: Heavy Slam (450 kg), Iron Head, Flash Cannon, Icicle Crash, Ice Shard, Blizzard, Ice Beam, Freeze-Dry, Frost Breath, Earthquake, Body Slam, Self-Destruct, Hydro Pump, Hurricane, Weather Ball, Shift Gear, Hail, Rain Dance
Stats: 140/91/105/126/70/42 | 574 BST
Reasoning: This is the seventh boss of the game and takes seven hits to destroy, so its base stats are all multiples of seven. Steel/Ice goes without saying. It gets Heatproof as any self-respecting ice machine would, Aftermath (and Self-Destruct) due to the explosion after its defeat, and Heavy Metal because it has the weight to stay planted on the ground for the whole battle.
Speaking of battle, it enters the scene in a ground-shaking manner and attacks with ice cubes, water jets, and icicles. It gets Shift Gear because the chain on its side indicates some kind of gear mechanism.

Pokémon: Spire
Type: Rock/Fire
Ability: Mega Launcher / Mountaineer (from CAP) / Tinted Lens
Signature Move: Magmaul - Rock, Special, 85 BP, 95% Acc, 10 PP | Boosted by Mega Launcher. Combined efficacy with Fire (i.e. Flying Press variant). If the user is Spire, then this burns the target.
Other Moves: Charge Shot (from Samus), Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Lava Plume, Power Gem, Ancient Power, Earth Power, Aura Sphere, Dark Pulse, Water Pulse, Ice Beam, Focus Blast, Lock-On, Zap Cannon, Flash Cannon, Solar Beam, Hyper Beam, Sonic Boom, Psywave, Charge Beam, Defense Curl, Rollout, Rock Blast, Rock Polish, Flame Charge, Rapid Spin, Burn Up, Scald, Rock Climb, Will-O-Wisp, Stealth Rock, Spikes
Stats: 105/80/95/125/95/85 | 585 BST
Reasoning: From a handheld spinoff of a critically acclaimed side series, Spire is nigh identical to Samus, so numerous aspects are borrowed from her: base stats, Mega Launcher, Tinted Lens, the primary effects of Magmaul, and most of the movepool (the rest of which is derived from Coalossal or extrapolated). He is a rocky creature immune to lava, thus Rock/Fire. Mountaineer and Rock Climb are based on his alt form, Dialanche, which is capable of scaling walls. His signature weapon is the Magmaul, which shoots out flaming rocks and, if used by him alone, deals residual damage after a charge shot.

Pokémon: Neptune
Type: Electric/Fairy
Ability: Own Tempo / Oblivious / Truant
Signature Moves:
  • Cross Combo - Fairy, Physical, 25 BP, 100% Acc, 20 PP | Hits 2-5 times.
  • Victory Slash - Fairy, Physical, 50 BP, 90% Acc, 10 PP | Hits 2 times.
  • Stat Multiplier - Fairy, Other, 15 PP | Raises the Defense, Special Defense, and Speed of the user or an adjacent ally.
Other Moves: Zing Zap, Spark, Sacred Sword, Leaf Blade, Night Slash, Psycho Cut, Slash, Thunderbolt, Dazzling Gleam, Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Air Slash, Incinerate, Swords Dance, Teleport
Z-Move: EXE Drive: Neptune Break - Fairy, Physical, 180 BP | Requires Cross Combo and Neptunium Z
Stats: 80/120/75/65/80/100 | 520 BST

Form: Neptune-Purple-Heart (Ultra Burst form with Purple CPU Memory)
Ability: Levitate
Z-Move: EXE Drive: HDD Neptune - Fairy, Physical, 210 BP | Has combined efficacy with Electric, except against Ground-types. | Requires Victory Slash
Stats: 80/135/105/80/100/120 (+15 Atk, +30 Def, +15 SpA, +20 SpD, +20 Spe) | 620 BST

Reasoning: Tiny, toony, and more than a little loony, Neptune is the most prominent CPU (Console Patron Unit) of Planeptune, as well as the titular character and series protagonist. She specializes in lightning attacks and is a mischievous pudding fanatic, hence Electric/Fairy. She gets Own Tempo (JP: My Pace) from her tendency to boast about her protagonist status, Oblivious as an airhead, and Truant as a slacker by nature.
In-game, she is a physical DPS character with a unique supporting skill, although unfortunately most of her elemental coverage is on the special side.

Pokemon: Chunky Kong
Franchise: Donkey Kong
Type: Fighting
Stats: 140/160/100/40/80/30
Abilities: Guts / Own Tempo / Sheer Force
Moves: Wind-Up Punch, Banana Toss, Pitstrike (all from Donkey Kong), Close Combat, Drain Punch, Mach Punch, Superpower, Stomping Tantrum, Earthquake, Revenge, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Rock Blast, Rock Throw, Strength, Bulk Up, Stone Edge, Smack Down, Mega Punch, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Ice Punch, Retaliate, Rock Smash, Slam, Body Slam, Body Press, Heavy Slam, Heat Crash (453 kg), Wide Guard, Power-Up Punch, High Horsepower, Hammer Arm, Giga Impact, Focus Punch, Facade, Dynamic Punch, Brick Break, Brutal Swing, Bulldoze, Poison Jab, Knock Off, Belly Drum, Amnesia, Seed Bomb, Dizzy Punch, universal moves
Reasoning: Chunky Kong is somewhat similar to Donkey Kong and Conkeldurr in several ways, which is why I gave him a lot of the moves that they learn, and it's also why I gave him Guts, Sheer Force, and a similar stat spread. Heavy Slam because of his immense size and weight (his actual weight is 907 kg, but I halved it for balance's sake), and Heat Crash because Rhydon and Snorlax get it, so why not? Own Tempo and Amnesia come from the fact that he isn't the brightest banana in the bunch. Also Dizzy Punch ties into him not being the brightest.

Pokémon: Etalus
Franchise/Origin: Rivals of Aether
Type: Ice / Fighting
Ability: Battle Armor / Big Pecks / Slush Rush
Notable moves: Ice Punch, Ice Fang, Focus Punch, Ice Beam, Power-Up Punch, Icicle Crash, Night Slash, Crunch, Surf, Waterfall, etc.
Signature move: Ice Breaker:
/ Physical / 120 BP / 100% Acc. / 15 PP / Has 33% recoil.
Stats: 80 / 120 / 75 / 65 / 70 / 50 = 460 BST

Reasoning: Etalus is a polar bear fighter (hence his typing) in Rivals of Aether. He has a strong connection to ice, using it in most of his special attacks. For his neutral special, he wields a hammer. The slow start of the attack and the power makes me think of a clone of Wood Hammer. He is one of the game's few "heavyweights," so I made him slower. However, Etalus's dash attack moves very fast if there is ice on the battlefield, so I gave him Slush Rush as an ability.

Pokémon: Compunzer
Franchise/Origin: Yo-Kai Watch
Type: Dark
Ability: Hanging In (Clear Body clone)
Notable moves: Giga Drain, Body Slam, Boomburst, Curse, Dark Pulse, Disable, Fake Out, Foul Play, Heat Wave, Hex, Hyper Voice, Memento, Nasty Plot, Night Shade, Parting Shot, Play Rough, Shadow Ball, Sucker Punch, Taunt, Throat Chop, Trick, Yawn
Signature move: Lamest Joke -
/ Special / 70 BP, 80% Acc, 10 PP | Lowers opponents Speed by 2.
Stats: 70 / 90 / 55 / 100 / 60 / 90 = 465 BST

Reasoning: Compunzer is a Yo-Kai of the Eerie tribe who causes people to tell really bad jokes. Like, DAD joke level bad. "Hanging In" is Compunzer's Skill, and it works exactly like Clear Body in-game by preventing the negative effects of enemy Inspirits. Speaking of Inspirits, I didn't give Compunzer his because... well... it would just be another attack. It kinda just causes the Yo-Kai equivalent to a burn. Also, Lamest Joke works just like it does in-game, just less accurate so that it isn't broken. "If it's not 100% accurate, it's 50% accurate."- Michael "Mandjtv" Groth

Pokémon: Blizzaria
Franchise/Origin: Yo-Kai Watch
Type: Ice
Ability: Snow Play: Boosts the power of this Pokemon and its allies Ice-type moves by 1.3x
Notable moves: Smack Down, Blizzard, Ice Beam, Freeze-Dry, Ice Punch, Icicle Spear, Ice Shard, Hail, Acrobatics, Calm Mind, Fake Out.
Signature moves: Numbify:
/ Status / 80% Acc / 16 PP | Lowers targets Def and Sp. Def by 2.
Shiny Snowdrifts:
/ Special / 150 BP / 90% Acc / 8 PP | User cannot move next turn.
Stats: 72 / 80 / 68 / 112 / 78 / 104 = 514 BST

Reasoning: Fun fact: I was actually asked to submit Blizzaria. Someone on Discord messaged me asking if I was planning on submitting this Yo-kai, and told me that they had lost all the data of their planned sub. I didn't really have many other good ideas, so I said "Sure, why not?" Typing is fairly self-explanatory. Snow Play in-game usually only boosts your own ice elemental attacks, but it would work better if it also boosted ally Ice moves. Smack Down and Blizzard are actually the names of her Attack and Technique, respectively. Numbify is her Inspirit, and it will work exactly the same as in Yo-kai Watch. Shiny Snowdrifts is Blizzaria's Soultimate move, so I find it fitting that it is very powerful, but needs to recharge, just like in Yo-Kai Watch.

"Straight to the point!"
Pokémon: Pop Thorn
Franchise/Origin: Skylanders
Type: Flying (both forms)
Ability: To Puff or Not to Puff: Allows Pop Thorn to change form when using Puff / Pop.
Notable moves: Acrobatics, Air Slash, Hurricane, Tailwind, Counter, Belly Drum, Body Slam, Boomburst, Calm Mind, Glare, Head Charge, Spikes, Spiky Sheild, Bulk Up
Signature move: Puff / Pop :
/ Physical / 80 BP / 90% Acc / 16 PP | Changes Pop Thorn's form. Changes form regardless of if the move misses.
Stats: 80 / 85 / 108 / 85 / 108 / 60 = 526 BST (Puffed)
80 / 85 / 88 / 85 / 88 / 100 = 526 BST (Popped)

Reasoning: Pop Thorn is a creature called a pufferthorn, a species that is considered the cutest creatures in Skylands and would puff out sharp thorns when scared. In Skylanders, Pop Thorn has both a puffed (left image) and popped (right image) form. To Puff or Not to Puff is Pop Thorn's Soul Gem that gives him the same benefits that I have given him here: more defenses in Puffed form, and more Speed when Popped. Puff / Pop is a combined form of two of Pop Thorn's abilities for the sake of a signature move and his forms.

Reasoning: Samus encounters the X-Parasite mimicking Serris in Sector 4 (AQA) of the BSL Research Station. It's a large serpentine aquatic alien that tries to ram into Samus at high speeds, and gives the Speed Booster once its Core-X form is defeated, hence the typing and Speed Bosst. Most moves relate to its method of attack in the boss fight: swimming and jumping out of the water in hard to predict patterns to try to hit Samus, with a few flavor moves. Overall, similar to Sharpedo and Barraskewda, without the biting moves.
