On to new Horizons!
Ruler of Flowers. It's definitely not gorgeous, however.
Florges, but not Gorgeous
[OVERVIEW]
Florges possesses good special bulk as well as a Fairy typing, which allows it to be an effective check to the likes of Mandibuzz, Bewear, and Yanmega. In addition, it also bears a good support movepool with tools such as Heal Bell and Defog that give it good ways to support its team, and it possesses decent offensive presence with Moonblast. However, the ubiquity of Poison- and Steel-types in RU makes Florges extremely vulnerable to being forced out or becoming setup fodder for the likes of Salazzle, Nidoqueen, and Mega Steelix. Its middling physical bulk also makes it fairly easy to pressure with neutral attacks, particularly from stronger threats such as Feraligatr. Overall, while Florges can be an effective utility Pokemon, you should be careful to deal with its vulnerability to several common threats in the tier so that it doesn't become a liability.

Moves
========
Defog lets Florges remove entry hazards from the field. With Florges's decent bulk and typing, it can be an effective and relatively consistent Defogger that also checks certain entry hazard users, such as Necrozma and Chesnaught. Moonblast serves as a reliable STAB move that hits fairly hard and has good neutral coverage. Synthesis serves as reliable recovery. Heal Bell can heal both Florges and its team from status conditions such as Toxic poison; however, use it carefully, since it has very low PP. Toxic is an alternative over Heal Bell and can cripple and wear down threats such as Moltres, Cresselia, and Porygon2 that are much more difficult to take down otherwise.
Set Details
========
136 Speed EVs with a Timid nature enable Florges to outspeed Bewear, Honchkrow, and Adamant Tyrantrum, while the rest is invested into HP and Defense to maximize Florges's physical bulk. Leftovers serves as consistent passive recovery for Florges over the match. However, Pixie Plate allows Florges to more easily deal with certain threats such as Mega Blastoise and Mandibuzz and serve as more of an offensive check to Fighting-types. If Florges runs Pixie Plate, the 120 Defense EVs should be invested into Special Attack to maximize its potential damage output against the likes of Bewear and allow Florges to OHKO Mandibuzz after Stealth Rock. Alternatively, an EV spread of 252 HP / 32 SpA / 224 Spe with a Modest nature can be used to allow Florges to take on a more offensive approach to its role while hitting the same Speed tier..
Usage Tips
========
Florges is a utility Pokemon; it is mainly used to switch into other Pokemon and support its team via hazard removal and cleric support. Its high special bulk and solid typing enable it to check a multitude of common Pokemon in the tier such as Mandibuzz, Yanmega, Mega Blastoise, and Pangoro. Florges should take advantage of these Pokemon as opportunities to come in and potentially use Defog to remove entry hazards from play. Florges can also take on certain hazard setters such as Necrozma and Chesnaught rather well. Do note, however, that Florges tends to be bait for a multitude of common threats, such as Salazzle, Mega Steelix, and Escavalier. It is advised to use Heal Bell conservatively, as its low PP limits its use; only use it if you have a teammate that absolutely needs to have some form of status, such as poison or burn, removed.
Team Options
========
Rhyperior makes for a solid teammate, as it can take on the likes of Salazzle and Registeel very well, and it benefits decently from Florges's support and ability to take on the likes of Bewear and Chesnaught. Moltres is another Pokemon that especially benefits from Defog support while also being able to break through Escavalier, Registeel, and Mega Steelix. Cresselia can take on Salazzle and Nidoqueen rather well and benefits from Heal Bell support. Ground-types such as Gligar, Flygon, and Zygarde-10% can break through Steel-types very well. In addition, Pokemon that benefit from entry hazard removal, such as Yanmega and Salazzle, will appreciate Florges's ability to use Defog.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
========
Florges unfortunately has a relatively barren movepool with little variety. It could use an offensive set with coverage moves such as Psychic and Hidden Power Fire, but it is very inferior to Gardevoir, which has more Speed and power to work with as well as utility in Healing Wish. A bulky set with Calm Mind is also plausible, but with the ubiquity of Poison- and Steel-types in the metagame, it is unfortunately not fit to succeed. Magic Coat is also an interesting option to bounce back entry hazards and Toxic, but Florges generally lacks the free moveslots to utilize it.
Checks and Counters
========
**Poison-types**: Salazzle can use Florges as setup fodder with Nasty Plot and proceed to eliminate it with Sludge Wave. Nidoqueen and Roserade can also switch into Florges quite well and break through it with Sludge Wave or Sludge Bomb
**Steel-types**: Mega Steelix, Registeel, Doublade, and Escavalier can all wall Florges and either take it down with STAB attacks or set up on it.
**Strong Physical Attackers**: Due to Florges's middling bulk, strong physical attackers such as Feraligatr, Mega Glalie, and Tsareena can pressure Florges and eventually overwhelm it.
