Great trainers are always eager to battle. And there's no place and time better to have a fight than in traffic on a highway after a four car pile-up! So, while we hope nobody will get run over, no promises! The combatants today:

As the trainers release their Pokemon for this battle, there is a nearly tangible tension hovering over the battlefield, likely because of all the honking drivers wondering why four people decided it would be perfectly natural to battle on the interstate. The feeling is only magnified by the combatants. Pytho, the fastest of the four and first to move, let's loose an Intimidating roar that strikes fear into the very souls of his opponents. Not to be outdone, Leasale returns a roar (Tomohawk roar, yes?) with a similar Intimidating quality, further reducing the ability of the field to bring themselves to use close-quarters combat. Doomsday, however, doesn't appear to understand what's going on? Physical attacks really aren't its thing, and as the remaining combatants sit stunned by all the roaring (and honking), Doomsday spins about in an odd manner before firing a chilly Ice Beam at Pytho, who REALLY does not appreciate the cold, especially this particularly critical strike, and lets out a roar of pain before chomping on half of its peculiar berry, regaining some of its health. Bringing up the rear is Frank, who is perturbed about Doomsday's Intimidate combo breaker, which stopped him from joining in the fun of the roaring contest. Determined to really shake his opponents up, the Scrafty began shouting Intimidating Pokethreats and dancing about in a strange fashion. Whether through similar fear induction of the roars before it, or because of all the flapping loose skin, the tactic left its mark; now everyone, especially Doomsday (despite how little it cared for close combat), is truly fearing for their lives.

With everyone nice and afraid, it appears to be time for some offensive action, and no fighter is more ready to lay down some serious hurt than Pytho. The dragon began to lift his head, and with a cry, the skies darkened. Businessmen leaped from their expensive cars, and soccer moms shielded their carpools, as a powerful Draco Meteor broke through the cloud cover and collided into Leasale, inflicting critical damage to the bird-lion before continuing onward to take out a good chunk of the street below. Suddenly, the dark skies let forth a deluge of rain? Could it be that meteor-induced atmospheric shifts caused the clouds to release their bounty of water? No, that wouldn't make any sense! Instead, it was summoned by the shamanistic Rain Dance of Leasale! What have you done, Leasale! You, or at least your trainer, must know that the average human driver becomes a paranoid madman when so much as a drop of water hits the ground! Disregarding that fact, it appears our good friend Doomsday has once again activated, this time releasing a powerful, and very tangible shock wave of thoughts in the form of a Psyshock, which slams into Leasale for a good deal of damage. Frank decides that the best use of his time and energy is to punch the dragon! With terror in every fiber of his body, Frank makes his way towards Pytho, and swings his fist, striking the Salamence square in the jaw! Had this been an ordinary punch, Frank might have been lunch, but the tricky lizard imbued his fist with ice seconds before the blow was struck, leading to an Ice Punch that would cause Pytho to require the final bite of his Enigma berry to keep going!

Seeing his still beating heart as a sign of good luck after his duel with Pytho, Frank saw no reason not to press his advantage further, and swung recklessly at Leasale with Fake Out. The haphazard strike barely grazed Leasale, but the minuscule impact that it did have left the Tomohawk clearly confused. Pytho joined the lets-beat-up-Leasale party with a powerful Zen Headbutt, and when it came time for Leasale to act, nothing happened! Seems all the attention, particularly the mosquito bite of a punch from Frank, caused Leasale to flinch! Feeling undervalued, Doomsday moved at last, lobbing a bit of Toxic goo it found lying on the road at Frank, badly poisoning him to finish out the round!
