Choice Scarf Indeedee's exclusive access to Psychic Surge immediately gives it a niche on Psychic teams as a Terrain setter, and its solid support options, decent offenses, and immunity to Ghost ensure it isn't dead weight outside of that. Expanding Force effectively has 156 Base Power under Psychic Terrain before factoring in STAB, easily making up for Indeedee's middling Special Attack with its devastating strength. This makes Indeedee a brutally effective revenge killer, picking off most neutral targets, like the Ogerpon formes and Choice Specs Dragapult, after some chip damage. Dazzling Gleam is critical coverage for Dark-types that try to switch into Expanding Force, notably OHKOing Hydreigon, Lokix, and non-Choice Scarf Roaring Moon after Stealth Rock damage. Trick prevents Indeedee from becoming dead weight against teams with bulky special walls like Blissey, Alolan Muk, and Hisuian Goodra, letting it hinder them with an unwanted Choice item. Alternatively, Shadow Ball gives Indeedee an option to hit Gholdengo with, which can prove useful for Psychic teams, and it also hits opposing Psychic-types like Hatterene super effectively. However, a lack of Trick will make Indeedee far easier to handle with the aforementioned special walls. Finally, Healing Wish is an extremely powerful support tool that lets Indeedee give a dangerous teammate like Calm Mind Latios a second chance at sweeping. A Timid nature is required, since it lets Indeedee outspeed other common Choice Scarf users like Kleavor and Great Tusk.

Steel-types are the bane of Indeedee's existence, since it lacks any kind of coverage for them, so having a fallback plan against them is essential. Slowbro is a great switch-in against Steel-type attackers like Excadrill and Heatran, resisting their STAB moves and threatening a powerful Body Press in return; its great physical bulk also helps the team play around other major threats like Tyranitar and Mamoswine. In return, Indeedee takes out Hydreigon for Slowbro. Hatterene doesn't fare as well against Steel-types defensively, but it can threaten them with Mystical Fire and give Indeedee's team a potent wincon that's made more threatening if Indeedee cripples a special wall like Alolan Muk with Trick; reflecting entry hazards with Magic Bounce also improves Indeedee's longevity and helps to chip foes into cleanup range. Swords Dance Iron Boulder is a terrifying setup sweeper that can plow through bulkier Pokemon that Indeedee struggles with, especially Blissey and Kingambit with Close Combat, and Psychic Terrain is incredible support for it, since it otherwise fears common priority moves. Choice Scarf Iron Boulder is also a great option to cover faster Choice Scarf users that Psychic struggles with like Meowscarada. Choice Band Hoopa-U is another physical wallbreaker that can deal with specially bulky Pokemon, notably OHKOing Kingambit and Gholdengo with Drain Punch and Knock Off. Indeedee returns the favor by taking out Choice Scarf Great Tusk and mixed Iron Valiant for Hoopa-U, and it becomes much harder to KO when shielded from Kingambit's Sucker Punch and other priority moves. Offensive Deoxys-S becomes incredibly threatening under Psychic Terrain, since it can use Expanding Force for its STAB move, making Choice Specs and Nasty Plot sets far more threatening. Latios doesn't directly benefit from Psychic Terrain, but it provides a useful Ground immunity for the team, and it enjoys the speed control and Ghost immunity Indeedee provides to help it against threats like Flutter Mane and Baxcalibur. Entry hazard support can greatly help to nudge foes into Indeedee's KO range, letting it clean up late-game more easily; Jirachi and Metagross are both decent Stealth Rock setters that can help with this, and Deoxys-S can provide even more hazards thanks to Spikes at the cost of defensive utility. The former two can also switch into common threats to Indeedee, like Scizor and Iron Boulder, and Jirachi can use them to generate momentum with U-turn and get Indeedee on the field more easily.

Psyshock can be used over Trick to make Indeedee more effective against some Calm Mind users and special walls like Primarina and Blissey, respectively, but the overlapping coverage with Expanding Force can often feel wasteful in comparison to Trick or Shadow Ball. Encore can let Indeedee act as a failsafe against bulkier setup sweepers that it can't immediately KO, such as Calm Mind Primarina and Nasty Plot Spectrier; this also gives more setup opportunites to Indeedee's own frail teammates. However, the opportunity cost of dropping Trick or Healing Wish is extremely high.

Expanding Force effectively has 156 base power under Psychic Terrain before factoring STAB, easily making up for Indeedee's middling Special Attack with its devastating strength. This makes Indeedee a brutally effective revenge killer, picking off most neutral targets after some chip damage.(Like?) Dazzling Gleam is critical coverage for Dark-types that try to switch into Expanding Force, notably OHKOing Chien-Pao, Hydreigon, Lokix, and non-Choice Scarf Roaring Moon after Stealth Rock damage. (Took off pao as most sets run HDB + Even non boots sets its still a roll to OHKO.)Trick prevents Indeedee from becoming dead weight against teams with bulky special walls like Blissey, Alolan Muk, and Hisuian Goodra, letting it hinder cripple them with an unwanted Choice item. Alternatively, Shadow Ball gives Indeedee an option something to hit Gholdengo with, which can prove useful for Psychic teams, and it also hits opposing Psychic-types super effectively, letting it surprise other common switch-ins like Hatterene. (Mention What is the downside of running Shadow Ball over trick.) Finally, Healing Wish is an extremely powerful support tool that lets Indeedee give a dangerous teammate like Calm Mind Latios a second chance at sweeping, and its Choice Scarf-boosted Speed combined with Psychic Terrain means it's extremely difficult to prevent Indeedee from using the move even at low health.(No need for the second part its mainly fluff + self explanatory.) With a Choice Scarf equipped, Indeedee outspeeds the entire unboosted metagame besides Deoxys-S, and it can also pick off common Speed-boosting setup sweepers like Baxcalibur and bulky Volcarona after a boost, provided they've been chipped enough. (Not needed) A Timid nature is required since it lets Indeedee outspeed other common Choice Scarf users like Kleavor, and Great Tusk, Hisuian Samurott, and Hisuian Arcanine, as well as +1 Baxcalibur and bulky Volcarona. (You already mentioned those mons above on it outspeeding preventing repetitivness. Also took off Harc and Hisuian samurott as sure u outspeed them but you dont ko them in return thus letting them OHKOing you. ;w;)

Steel-types are the bane of Indeedee's existence since it lacks any kind of coverage for them, so having a fallback plan against them is essential; Slowbro is a great switch-in against Steel-type attackers like Kingambit and Heatran, resisting their STAB moves and threatening a powerful Body Press in return. (Ground types as well, Exca and Mamo are annoying for psychic teams as well.) Hatterene doesn't fare as well against Steel-types defensively, but it can threaten them with Mystical Fire and give Indeedee's team a decent switch-in to Dark- and Bug-type attacks.(Mention how Hatterene blocks potential hazard setting with Magic Bounce.) Hatterene also enjoys Indeedee enabling it to use Expanding Force for STAB, and this is equally appreciated by other threats like Deoxys-S, Mew, and Iron Crown, which become much more effective with the power boost and priority-blocking effect of Psychic Terrain. (Most Hatterenes just run Psyshock anyways :o) Swords Dance Iron Boulder is a terrifying wincon that can plow through bulkier Pokemon that Indeedee struggles with, especially Blissey and Kingambit with Close Combat, and Psychic Terrain is a godsend for a Pokemon that otherwise fears common priority moves like Sucker Punch, Bullet Punch, Aqua Jet, and First Impression due to its typing. Choice Band Hoopa-U is another monstrous physical wallbreaker that can deal with benefit from Psychic Terrain's effects and scare specially bulky Pokemon, notably OHKOing Kingambit and Gholdengo with Drain Punch and Knock Off or Brick Break. Latios isn't able to reap the benefits of Psychic Terrain due to Levitate, but it still provides a useful Ground immunity for the team, and it enjoys the speed control and Ghost immunity Indeedee provides to help it against threats like Gholdengo, Flutter Mane, and Baxcalibur. (What mons do Latios take out for Indeedee? Which set is latios running?) Entry hazard support can greatly help to nudge foes into Indeedee's KO range, letting it clean up late-game more easily; Jirachi and Metagross are both decent Stealth Rock setters that can also switch into Pokemon that threaten Indeedee, such as Scizor and Iron Boulder.(Can put this into two sentences as Jirachi also provides pivoting with U-turn to safely bring in Indeedee.) Galarian Slowking can provide Toxic Spikes as well as a sturdy special wall for the team, and appreciates it loves Indeedee shutting down Ghost-type setup threats like Ceruledge Great Tusk and Choice Band Roaring Moon. (Overall just take off the mentions of p terrain as the readers know what indeedee provides for the team with p terrain. most of it just becomes repetitive. Because all of Indeedee teammates benefit from terrain with priority immunity You can just use explain what the teammates do to help indeedee become successful. to sum it all up you can just say in return Indeedee ensures the team with priority immunity with terrain. yanno? or u can start the opening sentence of the second paragraph with all of indeedee teammates appreciates priority immunity. then go from there )

Choice Scarf Indeedee's exclusive access to Psychic Surge immediately gives it a niche on Psychic teams as a Terrain setter (the reason why isnt immediately obvious, as its meant to stop Sucker Punch which could be mentioned), and its solid support options, decent offenses, and immunity to Ghost-type attacks ensure it isn't dead weight outside of that. Expanding Force effectively has 156 base power under Psychic Terrain before factoring STAB, easily making up for Indeedee's middling Special Attack with its devastating strength. This makes Indeedee a brutally effective revenge killer, picking off most neutral targets after some chip damage like the Ogerpon formes and Choice Specs Dragapult. Alternatively, Shadow Ball gives Indeedee an option to hit Gholdengo with, which can prove useful for Psychic teams, and it also hits opposing Psychic-types super effectively like Hatterene. However, a lack of Trick will make Indeedee far easier to handle with the aforementioned special walls. Finally, Healing Wish is an extremely powerful support tool that lets Indeedee give a dangerous teammate like Calm Mind Latios a second chance at sweeping. A Timid nature is required since it lets Indeedee outspeed other common Choice Scarf users like Kleavor and Great Tusk.

Steel-types are the bane of Indeedee's existence since it lacks any kind of coverage for them, so having a fallback plan against them is essential; Slowbro is a great switch-in against Steel-type attackers like Kingambit (it doesnt swap in well vs kingambit, no one on Psy does anyway, but it can 1v1 Kingambit with Colbur if not swapped in against it. It does OK vs Treads/Excadrill for steel examples tho) and Heatran, resisting their Steel-type (its not really quite because its a resist but its a wall that can inconvenience these steel types back) STAB moves and threatening a powerful Body Press in return; its great physical bulk and Water-type STAB also helps the team play around other major threats like Excadrill and Mamoswine. In return, Indeedee takes out Hydreigon for Slowbro. Hatterene doesn't fare as well against Steel-types defensively, but it can threaten them with Mystical Fire and give Indeedee's team a decent switch-in to Dark- (its best to not to mention swap ins to dark and bug, Hatterene isnt really that bulky and the most common bug move is uturn, which doesnt really make sense for hatte to swap into, can mention deflecting Draco meteors and >:) on dragons and loves the help of tricking a scarf into alolan muk or blissey too) and Bug-type attacks; reflecting entry hazards with Magic Bounce also improves Indeedee's longevity and helps to chip foes into cleanup range. Swords Dance Iron Boulder is a terrifying wincon that can plow through bulkier Pokemon that Indeedee struggles with, especially Blissey and Kingambit with Close Combat, and Psychic Terrain is essential for Iron Boulder, which that otherwise fears common priority moves (can also use scarf to deal with faster scarves like Meow and Roaring moon too). Choice Band Hoopa-U is another physical wallbreaker that can deal with specially bulky Pokemon, notably OHKOing Kingambit and Gholdengo with Drain Punch and Knock Off. Indeedee returns the favor by taking out Choice Scarf Great Tusk and mixed Iron Valiant for Hoopa-U (the Psy terrain prevents poopa from getting suckered to death too; also mention AV sets which can 1v1 NP Dengo for instance). Latios provides a useful Ground immunity for the team, and it enjoys the speed control and Ghost immunity Indeedee provides to help it against threats like Gholdengo, Flutter Mane, and Baxcalibur. The former two can also switch into common threats to Indeedee, like Scizor and Iron Boulder, and Jirachi can use them to generate momentum with U-turn and get Indeedee on the field more easily.(Mention specs / Ebelt / offensive Deo-S which can finally expanding force because of psy terrain) Galarian Slowking can provide Toxic Spikes as well as a sturdy special wall for the team, and appreciates Indeedee shutting down Great Tusk and Choice Band Roaring Moon (it doesnt really shut down these targets, its more of removes these if ever, shutting down sort of implies you can come in and say "stop", which isnt really the case) .

Psyshock can be used over Trick to make Indeedee more effective against some Calm Mind users and special walls like Primarina and Blissey, respectively, but the overlapping coverage with Expanding Force can often feel wasteful in comparison to Trick or Shadow Ball. Encore can let Indeedee act as a failsafe against bulkier setup sweepers that it can't immediately KO, such as Calm Mind Terapagos (dragon Dance Gouger or Sub Spectrier?)and Primarina; this also gives more setup opportunites for Indeedee's own frail teammates. However, the opportunity cost of dropping Trick or Healing Wish is extremely high.

Indeedee @ Choice Scarf
Name: Choice Scarf (Psychic)
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Expanding Force
- Dazzling Gleam
- Trick / Shadow Ball
- Healing Wish

[SET COMMENTS]
Choice Scarf Indeedee's exclusive access to Psychic Surge immediately gives it a niche on Psychic teams as a Terrain setter, and its solid support options, decent offenses, and immunity to Ghost-type attacks ensure it isn't dead weight outside of that. Expanding Force effectively has 156 base power Base Power under Psychic Terrain before factoring in STAB, easily making up for Indeedee's middling Special Attack with its devastating strength. This makes Indeedee a brutally effective revenge killer, picking off most neutral targets like the Ogerpon formes and Choice Specs Dragapult (should put the example right after the category) after some chip damage like the Ogerpon formes and Choice Specs Dragapult. Alternatively, Shadow Ball gives Indeedee an option to hit Gholdengo with, which can prove useful for Psychic teams, and it also hits opposing Psychic-types like Hatterene super effectively like Hatterene. However, a lack of Trick will make Indeedee far easier to handle with the aforementioned special walls. Finally, Healing Wish is an extremely powerful support tool that lets Indeedee give a dangerous teammate like Calm Mind Latios a second chance at sweeping. A Timid nature is required, (AC) since it lets Indeedee outspeed other common Choice Scarf users like Kleavor and Great Tusk.

Steel-types are the bane of Indeedee's existence, (AC) since it lacks any kind of coverage for them, so having a fallback plan against them is essential. (replaced semicolon with period- don't want to link 3 sentences in a row with them and it's less linked than the next two) Slowbro is a great switch-in against Steel-type attackers like Excadrill and Heatran, resisting their STAB moves and threatening a powerful Body Press in return; its great physical bulk also helps the team play around other major threats like Tyranitar and Mamoswine. Swords Dance Iron Boulder is a terrifying wincon setup sweeper (wincon isn't used as a role from the teambuilder perspective, I think it's fine with Hat because the context implies an in-battle perspective) that can plow through bulkier Pokemon that Indeedee struggles with, especially Blissey and Kingambit with Close Combat, and Psychic Terrain is incredible support for it, since it otherwise fears common priority moves. Offensive Deoxys-S becomes incredibly threatening under Psychic Terrain, (AC) since it can use Expanding Force for its STAB move, making Choice Specs and Nasty Plot sets far more threatening. Latios doesn't directly benefit from Psychic Terrain, (AC) but it provides a useful Ground immunity for the team, and it enjoys the speed control and Ghost immunity Indeedee provides to help it against threats like Flutter Mane and Baxcalibur.
