[OVERVIEW]
Exploud's stats are not the best on paper, but its access to STAB Boomburst allows it to be a menacing wallbreaker in NU, breaking apart slower Pokemon like Vaporeon and Sylveon with Choice Specs. With a colorful movepool accompanied by Scrappy, Exploud is able to deal with Steel-, Ghost-, and Rock-types such as Bronzong, Dhelmise, and Diancie. Unfortunately, its slow Speed leaves it open to faster Pokemon like Flygon, Rotom-C, and Tyrantrum. Additionally, Exploud matches terribly into common offensive archetypes and must take a strong attack from a Pokemon like Aerodactyl or Blastoise before attacking itself.

Set Details
====
Overheat is Exploud's strongest attack for Steel-types like Bronzong, Copperajah, and Escavalier. Surf and Focus Blast help deal with Rock-types like Diancie and Aerodactyl, but Focus Blast notably hits Guzzlord as well. A Modest nature is an option for more power, like 2HKOing Diancie after Stealth Rock, but leaves it open to Pokemon like neutral-natured Decidueye and Tyrantrum.
Since Exploud gets worn down easily due to its low Speed and lackluster bulk, slow pivots like Teleport Arcanine and Flip Turn Dragalge are appreciated to safely bring it in to wallbreak through teams. Wish passers like Vaporeon and Sylveon can help its longevity and also provide cleric support. Additionally, Sylveon helps with Fighting-types like Sirfetch'd and Machamp with Moonblast. Although Exploud has ways to get rid of Steel-types, it still benefits from Pokemon like Passimian and Golurk to speed up the process.

Other Options
====
Sleep Talk is an option with Boomburst and Overheat to allow Exploud to still function as a wallbreaker if it's hit by Sleep Powder from Vileplume. Soundproof is an option to wall opposing Exploud and Hyper Voice Sylveon, but coverage like Shadow Ball is then needed to hit Ghost-types. Additionally, using Soundproof makes Exploud far more prediction reliant, especially if there is a Ghost-type on the opposing team. Silk Scarf alongside Taunt is an option to make Exploud less prediction reliant and prevent foes like Vaporeon, Sylveon, and Mantine from spamming recovery moves.
Checks and Counters
====
**Faster Pokemon**: Pokemon like Drapion, Starmie, Flygon, and Rotom-C outspeed Exploud and can revenge kill it. The latter three can also exploit forced switches from it by pivoting with Flip Turn, U-turn, and Volt Switch, respectively.
**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types like Passimian, Machamp, and Sirfetch'd can OHKO Exploud with their STAB attacks, although the former two are slower than Exploud and can only take it on if it's not locked into Boomburst.
**Protect**: Due to Exploud being Choice locked, Pokemon like Vaporeon, Sylveon, and Guzzlord can scout its attack with Protect, but even when they switch out to a check, Boomburst is still doing a good amount of chip damage.
**Normal-resistant Pokemon**: Despite Exploud having ways to deal with Pokemon like Assault Vest Copperajah and Diancie, they still check its Boomburst before their HP gets too low.
