Olá a todos, sejam bem-vindos à terceira edição do Estrelas de Monotype e a primeira edição feita no fórum da Smogon! Para quem não é familiarizado, o Estrelas de Monotype é um torneio em que os jogadores se enfrentam em partidas melhor de três nos diferentes formatos baseados em Monotype. Para esta edição, os formatos escolhidos foram: SV Monotype, SV National Dex Monotype e SV Monothreat.

Regras do Torneio:
  • As regras de torneio e diretrizes gerais se aplicarão a este torneio;
  • Eliminação única;
  • Melhor de três entre SV Monotype, SV National Dex Monotype e SV Monothreat;
  • A primeira partida precisa ser em SV Monotype, o perdedor escolhe o formato subsequente e, se vencer, a série é finalizada no formato restante;
  • As partidas devem ser jogados no servidor Smogtours ou no servidor principal do PS!;
  • Replays são obrigatórios.
Identidade

Sobre jogar em contas alternativas: é totalmente permitido jogar numa conta alternativa que não tenha o seu nome principal no fórum; contudo, se o seu oponente quiser confirmar a sua identidade, você é obrigado a entrar na sua conta principal para mostrar que você é quem diz ser. Isso é necessário para evitar que os usuários finjam ser quem não são.

Sobre jogar em servidores alternativos: as partidas de torneio devem ser jogadas no servidor Smogtours. O servidor principal do PS! também é aceitável se ambos os jogadores concordarem. Outros servidores não são sancionados pela equipe de Diretores de Torneio e jogar neles pode resultar no seu jogo não ser validado. Proteja-se contra isso jogando no Smogtours, onde também temos o poder de recriar jogos que terminaram devido a desconexões.

Scouting

Sobre o scouting de adversários: é totalmente permitido assistir aos replays de jogos de torneio e da ladder de seus adversários, desde que o jogo seja público, não há nada que o impeça de assisti-lo. Uma exceção a isso é abusar dos poderes concedidos a você por ser membro da staff da Smogon ou do PS! para ganhar acesso a informações às quais um usuário normal não teria acesso, o que é estritamente proibido.

Sobre o vazamento de equipes: divulgar informações privadas sobre a equipe planejada de alguém para o seu oponente nunca é permitido e será severamente punido. Solicitar que essas informações sejam divulgadas também é motivo de punição. Mantenha sua busca restrita a informações publicamente disponíveis e você não terá problemas.

Cláusula do Cronômetro / Desconexões

Sobre o cronômetro: O cronômetro precisa estar ligado durante toda a batalha.

Sobre derrotas por tempo esgotado: um jogador que perde por ter todo o seu tempo esgotado perde partida. Isso só não acontece se o jogador que perdeu por tempo esgotado sofreu uma Desconexão Verdadeira. Revanches só serão permitidas se tiver havido uma Desconexão Verdadeira.

Sobre Desconexões Verdadeiras: A equipe de Diretores de Torneio tem um limite secreto de torneios que seu cronômetro deve ter ou estar acima, a partir do momento da desconexão, para que uma derrota por tempo esgotado seja considerada uma Desconexão Verdadeira. Se o seu jogo for considerado uma Desconexão Verdadeira, se você jogou na Smogon e se você contatou um Diretor de Torneio antes da sala expirar, sua partida vai recriada até o ponto em que a desconexão ocorreu. É responsabilidade do jogador que sofreu a desconexão levar um Diretor de Torneio para a sala antes que ela expire.

Recomendações gerais:
  • Entre em contato com o seu oponente o mais rápido possível após o início da rodada. As vitórias por atividade serão tratadas de maneira muito rigorosa;
  • Ao agendar, ofereça o maior número possível de horários de disponibilidade. É improvável que 1 hora de atividade em uma ou duas noites da semana seja considerado aceitável;
  • Agende especificamente; não agende para "sexta-feira à tarde" ou "domingo de manhã, escolha uma data, um horário e envie seu fuso horário.
Substituições e Agendamento de Partidas:
  • Certifique-se de ter um agendamento público com seu oponente antes de Quarta-feira, 24 de Janeiro às 23:59 GMT -3. Caso você não saiba como agendar sua partida, você pode seguir o guia oficial ou pedir a minha ajuda;
  • Caso não haja prova de um agendamento público após o fim da rodada, um substituto poderá tomar seu lugar;
  • Um aviso será dado para os agendamentos que não tiverem prova pública na terça-feira;
  • Para entrar como substituto, basta postar "in" no tópico. Um confronto será feito se houver uma vaga disponível.

Hello everyone, welcome to the third edition of Estrelas de Monotype and the first edition held on the Smogon forum! For those unfamiliar, Estrelas de Monotype is a tournament in which players face off in best-of-three matches in different Monotype-based formats. For this edition, the formats chosen were: SV Monotype, SV National Dex Monotype and SV Monothreat.

Tournament Rules
  • The Tournament Rules and General Guidelines will apply to this tournament;
  • Single elimination;
  • Best-of-three out of SV Monotype, SV National Dex Monotype and SV Monothreat;
  • The first match must be SV Monotype, the loser chooses the subsequent format and, if they win, the series is completed in the remaining format;
  • Battles should take place on the Smogtours server or the main PS! server;
  • Replays are mandatory.
Identity

About playing on alts: It is entirely allowed to play on an alt other than your own main forum name, though if your opponent wishes to confirm your identity, you must log on to your main alt to show them you are who you claim to be. This is to prevent people from pretending to be who they're not.

About playing on different servers: Tournament matches must be played on the Smogtours server. The Main PS! server is also acceptable if both parties agree to that. Other servers are not sanctioned by the TD team and playing in them might result in your game not counting. Protect yourself from that by playing in Smogtours, where we also have the power to recreate games that end due to DC's.

Scouting

On scouting opponents: Going through your opponents replays of tournament and ladder games is entirely allowed, as long as a game is public there is nothing preventing you from watching it. An exception to this is abusing powers granted to you by being staff on Smogon or PS! to gain access to information a normal user wouldn't have access to, which is strictly forbidden.

On leaking teams: Divulging private information about someone's planned team to their opponent is never allowed, and will be heavily sanctioned. Requesting that such information be divulged is also grounds for punishment. Keep your scouting to publicly available information and you'll be fine.

Timer Clause / Disconnections

On the Timer: The timer must stay on throughout the whole battle..

On Timeout losses: A player that loses by having all his time run out loses the game. This is only not the case if the player that received the timeout loss can be verified to have suffered a True Disconnection. Rematches are only allowed if there was a True Disconnection.

On True Disconnection: The TD team has a secret threshold of seconds that your timer must be at or above, from the moment you disconnect, for a timeout loss to be considered a True disconnection. If your game is determined to be a true disconnection if you played on Smogtours and contacted a TD before the room expired your game will be recreated up to the point the disconnect happened. It is the responsibility of the player that disconnected to get a TD into the room before it expires.

General recommendations:
  • Contact your opponent as soon as possible upon the round going up. Activity cases are going to be handled in a very strict manner.
  • When scheduling, offer as wide a swathe of time when you are available to play. 1 hour of activity on one or two weeknights is unlikely to be considered acceptable.
  • Schedule specifically - do not schedule for "Friday afternoon" or "Sunday morning", pick a date, a time and note the timezone.
  • If I catch news of ghosting or some other sort of nefarious play, I reserve the right to investigate to the full limits of my ability in conjunction with the TD team provided there is adequate evidence to warrant it.
Substitutions and Schedule:
  • Make sure to have a publicy schedule with your opponent before the Wednesday January 24th at 11:59 PM GMT -3. If you don't know how to schedule, you can follow the official guide or ask for my help;
  • If no proof of a publicy schedule after the deadline, a sub will be able to take your place;
  • A reminder would be given for schedule who don't have publicy proof tuesday;
  • To in as sub, just post "in" on the thread. A pairing would be given if a place becomes availble.
