Dondozo is a good physical wall in Ubers UU thanks to its incredible physical bulk and Unaware, allowing it to take on threats like Zacian, Palafin, Chien-Pao, and Sneasler. Curse makes Dondozo less passive and allows it to operate as a wincon if needed. Rest is Dondozo's only form of reliable recovery; it increases its longevity and also alleviates its crippling weakness to status like Toxic poison. Sleep Talk allows Dondozo to deal damage or continue setting up with Curse while it is asleep, although Body Press is an option instead, allowing Dondozo to hit Pokemon like Zamazenta-C, Chien-Pao, and Kingambit for super effective damage and hit Water-resistant foes like Palafin and and Palkia-O. Tera Dragon gives Dondozo a useful defensive typing, letting it flip the matchup against Pokemon like Wild Charge Zacian and Ogerpon-H, although Tera Grass is an option too, as it still removes all of Dondozo's weaknesses while giving it a resistance to Ground-type attacks from Pokemon like Great Tusk and Ursaluna. Tera Fighting gives Dondozo a valuable Dark-type resistance, helping it take on Kingambit and Chien-Pao, while also boosting Body Press. Dondozo exclusively fits on stall teams, helping teammates like Mandibuzz and Blissey take on threats like Zacian and Chien-Pao. Dondozo crumbles against special attackers like Mewtwo, Palkia-O, and Landorus, so specially defensive walls like Blissey and Giratina can be helpful to have, with the combination of Blissey and Dondozo in particular blanket checking nearly every attacker in the tier.
