XY UU Dog Shit Crazy

This is my ultimate XY UU team. The only time I ever lose with it is when I defeat myself. Not even exaggerating. There are some holes and weaknesses but you have switches and options to deal with virtually anything in the current XY UU metagame. This team puts the pressure on from the start, so that helps mitigate whatever issues it faces.

The strategy is simple: Get sand up, absorb hits with bulky Pokemon, and pound your opponents hard until they black out.

hippo.jpg

Hippowdon @ Smooth Rock
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
- Slack Off

Come in, get sand up, take a hit, switch out, switch in Dog or Hydreigon and spam powerful attacks. Even Shaymin's Life Orb Seed Flare doesn't guarantee to OHKO this bulky hippo. She sets up rocks too. She can also eat a specs Modest Draco Meteor from Hydreigon and survive. Dog needs to be kept alive at all cost. Can't win easily without sand.

252 SpA Life Orb Shaymin Seed Flare vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Hippowdon: 374-445 (89 - 105.9%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO

252+ SpA Choice Specs Hydreigon Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Hippowdon: 300-354 (71.4 - 84.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Hydreigon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- U-turn
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- Fire Blast

Hit and run tactic. Spam Draco Meteor to dent something then switch out. Can play recklessly because both fish and Jirachi have Healing Wish to restore his health should it come to that.

aerooo.png

Aerodactyl-Mega @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stone Edge
- Aqua Tail
- Defog
- Roost

Mega-Aero is bulkier than his non-evolved counterpart. With sand up, he also gets a Sp.Def boost, which makes him a good sponge to switch into Grass moves, which this team is mostly weak to. Hits like a truck with Stone Edge, trolls Crobat and other Flying Pokemon, Defog when necessary, and kinda just glues this team together.

Alomomola @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 232 HP / 24 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Scald
- Wish
- Protect
- Healing Wish

Fish's here to deal passive damage via Rocky Helmet and absorb hits then Healing Wish to Hydreigon or dog and even Hippo when necessary. Really doesn't do much else. Hydreigon's specs Draco fails to OHKO this bad boy. Regenerator is a godly ability, I'd say.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Hydreigon Draco Meteor vs. 232 HP / 252+ SpD Alomomola: 387-456 (73.1 - 86.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

jira.png

Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Iron Head
- Fire Punch
- Healing Wish

Momentum grabber, fairy (Florges, etc) burner, and wish healer. Help absorbs grass and fairy moves to lessen the burden for fish and dog to do their jobs properly.

Stoutland @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Rush
Happiness: 0
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Frustration
- Play Rough
- Crunch
- Superpower

Get sand up, spam Frustration, done. Can play recklessly with him because of my two wish healers.

Importable:

Hydreigon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

So I just played several games with this team on the basis that it looked cool and it's... easily defeatable. The team simply cannot handle even a simple Florges/Alomomola stall core. In order to fix this, you'll probably need to take off healing wish from both mons for toxic Alomomola and trick Jirachi. Running toxic on hippo over ice fang would probably be good too. Seriously, I can't fathom how you "never lose unless you defeat yourself" when an Alomomola can solo your entire team minus Hydreigon.

You're right about Alomomola. My ladder version of this team had specs Shaymin over Hydreigon. Either Pokemon works.

With this line up, switch in your own Alomomola vs theirs and get a burn on it. Then work on breaking it from there. With a burnt condition and sand up, it becomes easier to break.

252+ Atk Choice Band Stoutland Frustration vs. 232 HP / 252+ Def Alomomola: 204-240 (38.5 - 45.3%)

Dog is strong. Don't underestimate.

PS. Only (BAN ME PLEASE) use pinky core.
