Doubles Celesteela

Celesteela @ Power Herb
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Meteor Beam
- Flash Cannon
- Air Slash
- Protect

This unique Celesteela set stole the show during Week 1 of SCL, helping Z Strats turn the tables against Qwello Lee by picking up a surprise OHKO on Volcanion. Meteor Beam flips Celesteela's usual passive role upside down, letting it offensively pressure would-be checks such as Volcanion and Incineroar. Once it gets to +1, Celesteela can quickly snowball with its strong STAB attacks, which hit metagame staples such as Rillaboom, Diancie, and Kyurem-B super effectively, and raise its Special Attack with every KO thanks to Beast Boost. Zygarde makes for an excellent teammate, dispatching Fire- and Electric-types while benefitting from Celesteela taking care of Kyurem-B and Rillaboom. Celesteela fits well on semi-Trick Room structures with Diancie and Amoonguss, functioning as sturdy check to Rillaboom and Psychic spam archetypes for both partners. In return, Diancie provides Trick Room and a more reliable answer to Fire-types, while Amoonguss redirects Electric-type attacks and fires off fast Spores under Trick Room.
