Finally we've made it to the last week before playoffs! As of now, the Breezis and the Steelixes are still holding first and second place respectively, while the Garchomps have stolen third. Matchups are below.

All standard tournament rules apply. Ghosting is strictly prohibited. Replays must be posted or else your battle will be considered invalid. Once again, since this is a team tournament, no extensions are given; substitutions are used instead of extensions. If any trade occurs this week, neither traded player will be able to participate in a battle the same week. Please complete your games by Sunday, February 13th at 11:59pm GMT-6.

Predicts

Breezis (2) vs Steelix D's (3)
Darek vs The Number Man: Darek's for sure a formidable opponent and I think he'll def put up a good fight, but TNM's been on a very impressive roll this tour, going undefeated so far and beating some top-tier players. That makes it hard to bold against him here.
The Strap vs DetroitLolcat: Again, two very highly regarded players in my eyes who will face off against each other in what should be a heated, exciting battle. Though I am giving a slight edge to Skysolo here, I could def see Lolcat winning as well.
Heaven Jay vs Steam Buns: Damn, yet another thrilling match to look out for. From what I know, againa is very proficient in ORAS, which is why I am slightly favoring him to win this one. However, Jay has shown good results in this meta too, and considering his reputation as a great player, could see him winning fs.
Yami vs Micaiah: For what I believe is his first CAP tour, Micaiah has shown great results so far. Expecting him to win this one
luisin vs LuckOverSkill: Not as sure abt this match, but I think luisin takes it based on his performance in prior weeks

Venomicons (2) vs Staryus (4)
SunMYSER vs Scizivire: Watched sciz's match vs Raj last week, and despite his loss, I still think the game could've gone either way. Minor edge to sciz here because of that, but this will be close and Sun could also win.
Da Pizza Man vs D2TheW: Most would expect D2 to win this game fs, but despite last week I still don't see Pizza Man as an opponent who should be underestimated. Could be a pretty interesting one actually
Fakee vs Rage.Spam.Quit: No doubt that Fakee's a tough opponent who is good in the builder, but like TNM, RSQ's been on a great streak as of late. Nonetheless, close match.
Kaede vs gorex: My reasoning for this take is similar to mine on the Jay vs Buns match; I seem to recall ORAS being the tier Kaede is most proficient at, though I am mostly unfamiliar with both players here
TGA vs GBlaze: If I am not mistaken TGA came very close to winning the BW CAP Revival Tournament a few months back. Should have no trouble showing off his skills again here
Ashbala vs crashy: I haven't seen Ashbala play in this tour yet so I'm giving this one to crashy, though it's mono so u can never rly know who has the advantage

Garchomps (5) vs Zeraoras (1)
crying vs quziel: Quite possibly the highlight match of the week, both of these players continue to impress in tournament play, and quz's building sophistication is as good as it gets. 55-45 quziel
Rabia vs Kate: Despite not living up to his full potential in this tour yet, I'm hoping rabia can do so here. We all saw what he was capable of during last year's winter seasonal. When he's confident he's great against practically anyone tbh
Lily vs Avery: coin flip, no idea who these people are
spoo vs omi: Even if spoo's team has underperformed so far, i've been impressed with his ORAS playing. He should win here
ArcticBreeze vs reachzero: Like Micaiah, I also believe this is Arctic's first CAP tour and he's proven himself throughout with multiple wins. Reach is a great player tho and it's nice to see him back in CAP tours
LuckyPiper vs cy: based on prior weeks

my predicts-

(2) Venomicons vs Staryus (4)

SunMYSER vs Scizvire: sciz has kicked the PCTGO habit as far as i've seen meaning he will win
Da Pizza Man vs D2theW: D2's still incredibly solid and DPM made every possible play to lose last week, this should be a wrap
Fakee vs RageSpamQuit: If RSQ loses after killing my record I'm gonna kill him (love u buddy)
Kaede vs Gorex: Think this is close but I like what Kaede brings a lot in oras
TGA vs Gblaze: Trust TGA a lot more that the games of Gblaze i've seen
Ashbala vs Crashy: Crashy is MAD good

Crying vs Quziel: highlight match, think Crying tends to be really good into nonstandard stuff, which is the quz special
Rabia vs Kate: washed man gets paid
Lily vs Avery: really think Lily's sleeper insane despite the record, but this one will rely a lot on prep- which I think the Chomps have a better handle on
Spoo vs Omi: Spoo is really good when he doesn't overthink and bring Trosko stall
ArticBreeze vs Reachzero: Artic's played great this tour, Reach didn't know sleep was banned
Luckypiper vs Cy: I don't have a great read on either player off the top of my head plus its monotype so very swingy, think this is close to even

Contacted him on both his wall and through PMs on Discord to try to schedule. Didn't get a response after two and a half days on the former (Despite him being active on discord and on the forums) and was flat out refused to schedule a time on the later. Proof on his wall and the image below.

Was going to wait until tomorrow but pannu said I would be a pussy if I didn't do it now in our team's Discord. Not going to give a Swedish 15 Year Old obsessed with a character from Adventure Time that satisfaction.
