1. Official Tournaments & Tour Nights Overview
This thread is the information hub for all CAP PS! Room Events hosted by the CAP staff and trusted project hosts. These events currently include tour nights, showcasing old gen CAPs and CAP OMs, as well as flash CAPs, but stay tuned for more events to be announced in the future. Additionally, a different OM Highlight will be picked every month and hosted on a regular basis in the format of Official Tournaments. The showcased OM for a given month will be posted in the CAP Room Intro.
Official Tournaments
Winning official tournaments in the CAP room will earn you points towards our monthly leaderboard. At the end of the month, the user in first place on our leaderboard will win the Room Prize Winner (^) rank and a temporary custom discord role color and the top 3 users on the leaderboard will enter the Hall Of Fame on this thread.
These official tournaments will be played in any of gens 4 to 9 CAP, as well as the OM Highlight.
CAP Tour Nights
In addition to the aforementioned Official Tournaments, we will now be hosting official scheduled Tour Nights in the CAP PS! room. These will include current gens, old gens, and OMs as a way for newer users to improve in generations / metagames other than the current. At the end of the month, the user in first place on our leaderboard will also win the Room Prize Winner (^) rank and a temporary custom discord role color.
Tour Nights will be hosted twice every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with each Tour Night consisting of two official tournaments. In other words, there will be 12 total tournaments per week dedicated to Tour Nights (4 on each day). The tournaments will match the schedule published on the next message in this thread and will always begin at 10am EST for the first two and at 10pm EST for the last two.
The winner of a Tour Nights tournament will be awarded 3 points, the runner-up 2 points, and each semifinalist 1 point.
These tournaments will be official and thus contribute to the monthly leaderboard for Official Tournaments.
