It's time to make Pokedex entries for Nohface! Like Kitsunoh, these must be done in the style of D/P/Pt entries, which includes a shorter character limit and Pokemon names in all-uppercase letters! Make sure you follow the updated Pokedex Submission rules.

For reference, here are Kitsunoh's Pokedex entries, which may serve as inspiration.

Kitsunoh, the Shadow Fox Pokémon

Diamond: When you are alone and feel like you are being watched, it is because there is a KITSUNOH hiding.

Pearl: It is said that it first started to wear masks in order to communicate better with humans.

Platinum: Notoriously shy, it hides on the walls of old theatres by arranging its masks like decorations.
You have 72 hours to make your final submissions or to request an extension.

----

Wait, but where are movepool submissions? Shouldn't we do that before Pokedex entries?

The plan is to update all of the CAP pre-evos movepools after all of the final evolutions get their movepools updated with Isle of Armor tutors, to avoid two rounds of CAP movepool updates. Stay tuned until then!

Legal Pokedex submissions must meet the following standards:
  • Species Names cannot be over 11 characters.
  • Pokedex Entries must have flawless grammar. Smogon has a Grammar & Prose team that will help identify mistakes.
  • Pokedex Entries cannot be longer than 23 words and cannot be over 109 characters.
  • Pokedex Entries can only contain the following characters:
    • Letters A-Z
    • Numbers 0-9
    • Dash (-)
    • Apostrophe (')
    • Double quote (")
    • Period (.)
    • Comma (,)
    • Colon (:)
    • Semi-colon (;)
    • Space
Work In Progress (WIP) Pokedex Entries can be posted at any time for comments from the community.

No more than three WIP Pokedex Entries can be posted by any individual person through the entire course of the submission thread. This limit applies to ALL posts made by a single person, even if previous posts are edited or deleted. This limit is intended to curb the tendency for some submitters to spam the thread repeatedly with multiple Pokedex Entries. This detracts from other submissions and makes it difficult for commenters to survey the submission thread.

Do not bump your WIP Pokedex Entries by posting them repeatedly, or making minor wording changes. Bumping will result in the disqualification of all Pokedex Entries by the offender. Editing or deleting bump posts will not prevent disqualification.

Only ONE Final Submission can be made per person.

Pokedex entries Final Submissions must posted exactly in the following format and in the following exact order:
  • The first line of the post must have the words "Final Submission" in bold on its own line. No other text may be included before the bold heading.
  • A blank line
  • "<Pokémon Name>, the <Species Name> Pokémon", with the Pokemon name and the Species Name in bold
  • A blank line
  • The Diamond Pokedex Entry submission. Start with the letters "Diamond" in bold, then a colon (:), and then the Pokedex entry.
  • A blank line
  • The Pearl Pokedex Entry submission. Start with the letters "Pearl" in bold, then a colon (:), and then the Pokedex entry.
  • A blank line
  • The Platinum Pokedex Entry submission. Start with the letters "Platinum" in bold, then a colon (:), and then the Pokedex entry.
Below the Final Submission you can post other comments, explanations, etc.

Example final submission:

Final Submission

Kricketune
, the Cricket Pokémon

Diamond: It crosses its knifelike arms in front of its chest when it cries. It can compose melodies ad lib.

Pearl: It signals its emotions with its melodies. Scientists are studying these melodic patterns.

Platinum: There is a village that hosts a contest based on the amazingly variable cries of this Pokémon.
Any Final Submission that does not follow the proper format will be disqualified.

WIP

Nohface
the Ghostly Fox Pokemon

Diamond: This pokemon tends to live in darkness. If it steps into the sunlight, it will become invisible.

Pearl: These pokemon are highly antisocial and prefer to stay in abandoned places. Their eyesight is nearly 13 times as good as a human's.

Platinum
: Nohface are often found wandering graveyards for fresh air. It is said encountering one there will give you bad luck.

WIP

Nohface
the Watcher Pokémon

Diamond: NOHFACE have been known to intensely stares down anything of interest to it, often creeping these objects of interest to no end.

Pearl: NOHFACE prefer the shadows of alleys or forests. If you enter these places inhabited by a Nohface, they will see you before you see them.

Platinum: NOHFACE have amazing vision, even in the dead of night. Some civilizations used Nohface as spies because of this.

Final Submission

Nohface
, the Faceless Pokémon

Diamond: Rumored to have stolen the faces of children in ancient times, it was driven deep into the forests.

Pearl: It is impossible to tell what a NOHFACE is thinking, which makes it unpopular as a pet.

Platinum: NOHFACE can remain motionless for hours. Staring directly at it for too long will drive you insane.

WIP

Nohface
, the Hollow Pokémon

Diamond: A NOHFACE can be spotted by its piercing, red eyes. Staring too long into them causes sudden panic.

Pearl: A spirit with a hollow heart, it wanders cemeteries looking for valuable mementos to pilfer.

Platinum: Few know when it has entered a room. Children are oddly attracted to it.

Final Submission

Nohface
, the Shade Pokémon

Diamond: NOHFACE are lone hunters by night. To wait out the day, they snuggle together in dark areas like crawlspaces.

Pearl: A group of them is called a mob. Mobs won't hunt together but delight in playing mind games on the unwitting.

Platinum: Ignoring advice, someone once filled their home with many paintings of NOHFACE. That person remains missing.

Okay, so, explanations. The first one is just a bit of behavioral information - the Pokédex is, of course, an encyclopedia. Logically, it ought to educate and impart information as its primary function (in practice, this can bend a bit). Second splits the difference a little. There's a smidgen of darkness and mischief involved. As I put it to MrDollSteak: "It just has a natural inclination to be a little ****." As for the third entry, I wanted initially to do a take on the old campfire story about the lost man who shelters in a cabin full of paintings of grotesque, demonic faces snarling and jeering at the viewer. He wakes the next morning to find that all the supposed paintings were, in fact, windows. It instead turned into what you have there, which I am quite proud of - it's just the right side of vague and ominous that fits more interesting Pokédex entries like a glove.
