Welcome to the second ever Smogon BW CAP Tournament!
This tournament serves a purpose to test the nerfed Aurumoth. Aurumoth was banned for being too strong in the metagame with access to Illusion, and Quiver Dance you could never truly know when it was in and when you did it was already too late with its reasonable bulk and great movepool it could quickly spiral out of control. With the removal of Illusion and Quiver Dance that deemed the Pokémon too strong; it will be allowed in the tournament and potentially reintroduced into the tier afterwards.
Rules:
- The format is double elimination, best of three in the gen 5 CAP format. If the player count reaches 64, then the tournament will become a single elimination tournament to account for CAPCL.
- Changing teams in between matches is allowed.
- You are required to post your replays.
- All Smogon Tournament Rules apply.
- Any change in tiering will not take effect until the following round.
- Matches must be played on Pokemon Showdown or Smogtours.
- Please use this guide while scheduling with your opponent.
