Due to its stellar Defense stat, Buzzwole is an excellent physical wall that checks a plethora of common physical attackers such as Weavile, Gliscor, Rillaboom, and Garchomp, resisting common offensive types such as Dark, Ground, and Grass. Its high Attack also gives it a great offensive presence with its nearly perfect coverage. Close Combat has the power to vaporize nearly every non-resistant Pokemon. Ice Punch allows Buzzwole to efficiently check Ground-types like Landorus-T, Garchomp, and Gliscor while threatening possible switch-ins such as Flyinium-Z Landorus-T, Zapdos, and Mega Latios. Meanwhile, Thunder Punch is able to pressure bulky Water-types, such as Slowbro, Tapu Fini, and Toxapex.
The given EV spread lets Buzzwole tank some notable physical hits like +2 boosted Z-moves from Kartana and Weavile, while outspeeding Adamant Tyranitar.

Teammates that appreciate Buzzwole's ability to check Dark-, Grass- and Ground-types such as Weavile, Bisharp, Kartana, and Gliscor, such as Mega Latias, Tyranitar, Tapu Koko, and Heatran, make for stellar teammates. Faster teammates such as Weavile, Tapu Koko, and Mega Lopunny help Buzzwole overwhelm mutual checks such as Toxapex, Tangrowth, and Slowbro. Specially defensive Pokemon such as Blissey, Toxapex, Tapu Fini, and Slowking are able to handle the likes of Ash-Greninja, Kyurem, and Heatran, which Buzzwole struggles with due to its poor Special Defense. In return, it's able to handle physical attackers such as Kartana, Gliscor, and Zeraora for these Pokemon, creating a potent defensive core. Tapu Fini makes for a particularly fantastic partner, as its Misty Terrain also helps Buzzwole switch into moves that can status it like Scald from Toxapex and Slowbro. Slowbro's and Slowking's Future Sight heightens Buzzwole's offensive capabilities, discouraging the likes of Toxapex, Zapdos, and Clefable from switching into it Fire-resistant Pokemon such as Mega Latias and Gastrodon are able to handle the likes of Mega Charizard Y and Heatran. Psychic-resistant Pokemon like Heatran, Corviknight, and Slowbro can handle the likes of Reuniclus, Tapu Lele, and Mega Medicham, and Fairy-resistant Pokemon such as Ferrothorn, Toxapex, and Galarian Slowking are good for Tapu Koko, Mega Diancie, and Clefable. Flying-resistant teammates are especially good, as any Flying-type move will threaten to KO Buzzwole. The likes of Tapu Koko, Heatran, Corviknight, and Mega Tyranitar are able to handle opposing Corviknight, Hawlucha, Flyinum-Z Landorus-T, and Zapdos for Buzzwole.

Bulk Up might seem appealing at first, boosting Buzzwole's already obscenely high Defense and Attack stats even higher. However. this set doesn't solve Buzzwole's poor special bulk and can't run all the coverage moves it wants. A more defensive EV spread can be used, but this doesn't heavily improve any relevant matchups and leaves Buzzwole far more passive. Taunt can be used to prevent the likes of Corviknight, Mega Scizor, and Slowking from healing up on Buzzwole, but it's generally not as useful as an attacking move. Other coverage options such as Earthquake for Toxapex, Galarian Slowking, and Heatran, Leech Life for Reuniclus, Slowbro, and its passive recovery, and Stone Edge for Zapdos and Volcarona are also feasible options. Poison Jab can also be used to threaten Fairy-types like Tapu Fini and Clefable. However, dropping either Ice Punch or Thunder Punch will make Buzzwole much worse against bulky Flying- and Water-types. Drain Punch is also an option, sacrificing offensive prowess for an additional source of recovery, but it notably misses out on the OHKO on Heatran and the 2HKO on Mega Mawile.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Special Attackers**: Due to Buzzwole's incredibly poor Special Defense, special attacks from the likes of Ash-Greninja, Kyurem, Aegislash, and Magnezone are able to seriously threaten it.

**Flying-types**: Buzzwole's crippling weakness to Flying makes it easily scared out by Zapdos, Corviknight, Flyinum Z variants of Landorus-T, and Hawlucha. However, they have a hard time finding opportunities to switch in given Buzzwole's super effective coverage.

**Fire-types**: Fire-types such as Volcarona, Mega Charizard Y, and Victini all force out Buzzwole with their Fire-type attacks and wall it; bar Mega Charizard Y, which doesn't appreciate switching into Thunder Punch.

**Psychic-types**: Psychic-types such as Tapu Lele, Mega Latios, Mega Latias, and Reuniclus resist Close Combat and threaten Buzzwole out. The latter two can also set up on Buzzwole. However, the former two cannot switch in safely, as they take a lot from Ice Punch.

**Fairy-types**: The likes of Tapu Fini, Clefable, and Tapu Koko resist Close Combat and force Buzzwole out with their own STAB attacks, although Tapu Fini doesn't like switching into a Thunder Punch. Fighting-neutral Fairy-types such as Mega Mawile and Mega Diancie also threaten Buzzwole but have a much harder time switching in.

Due to its stellar physical defense and attack stats, Buzzwole is an excellent physical wall that manages to check a plethora of common physical attackers, such as Weavile, Gliscor, Rillaboom, and Garchomp, while also having an immense great i wouldn't say it has immense Offensive presence cuz it has many hard walls offensive presence thanks to its nearly perfect coverage. Close Combat is the Fighting-type move of choice, due to its high base power evaporating nearly every non-resistant Pokemon. Drain Punch is also an option, sacrificing offensive prowess for an additional source of recovery mention one or 2 calcs that change. Ice Punch allows it to threaten Pokemon its switching into, such as Rillaboom its hit Harder by cc, mention smth else, Garchomp, and Gliscor, and also threatening Pokemon trying to switch into it, such as Landorus-T, Zapdos, and Amoonguss. Meanwhile, Thunder Punch is able to threaten bulky Water-types, such as Slowbro, Tapu Fini and Toxapex, while also hitting the likes of Corviknight and Skarmory these are hit harder by cc and beat u regardless. A Rocky Helmet allows for Buzzwole to punish Physical Attackers such as Mega Lopunny, Rillaboom, and Mega Swampert. The Given ev fix the capitalization here spread allows for Buzzwole to always live a +2 Adamant Mega Garchomp Fire Fang, and Outspeed Modest Heatran Variants.

Teammates that appreciate Buzzwoles ability to check resist Dark-, Grass- and Ground-types such as Weavile, Bisharp, Kartana, and Gliscor, such as Latias, Clefable, mention smth else as well make for stellar teammates. Faster teammates such as Weavile, Tapu Koko, and Mega Lopunny are also valuable as they are able to clean up teams once Buzzwole has broken holes through them I don't like how this potrays buzz as a great wallbreaker when it really isn't, maybe lean more towards how buzz helps overwhelm shared checks while giving a good check to the Pokemon that forces these out. Specially Defensive Pokemon such as Blissey, Toxapex, and Slowking are able to handle the likes of Ash-Greninja, Kyurem, and Heatran, which Buzzwole struggles with due to its poor Special Defense, in return its able to handle physical attackers such as Kartana, Gliscor, and Zeraora for these Pokemon, creating a potent defensive core. Fire-type Resists such as Mega Latias and Gastrodon are able to handle the likes of Mega Charizard Y and Heatran, Psychic-type resists like Heatran, Corviknight, and Slowbro, and Mega Medicham, this line makes 0 sense fix it and Fairy-type resists such as Ferrothorn, Toxapex, and Galarian Slowking for the likes of Tapu Koko, Mega Diancie, and Clefable are all potent teammates for Buzzwole, as they cover its weaknesses. this sentence is really long break it up Flying-type resists are especially good, as any Flying-type move will threaten to knock out Buzzwole. The likes of Tapu Koko, Heatran, and Mega Tyranitar are able to handle Corviknight and Zapdos for Buzzwole, while also switching into miscellaneous Flying-type attacks. From?

Bulk up might seem appealing at first, being able to boost its already obscenely high Defense and Attack stats even higher. However, it doesn't solve Buzzwole's issue of its poor special bulk, while also being unable to run all the coverage moves it wants. Heavy-Duty Boots can be used as Buzzwole's item, allowing it to ignore hazards, however, lack of a Rocky Helmet make Buzzwole unable to punish the plethora of Physical Attackers it wants to check.

**Special Attackers**: Due to Buzzwole's incredibly poor Special Defense, Special attacks from the likes of Ash-Greninja, Kyurem, Aegislash, and Magnezone outsped and OHKOd, are able to seriously threaten Buzzwole.

**Flying-types and Flying Type Coverage**: Buzzwole's crippling weakness to Flying-type moves, make it easily scared out by Zapdos, Corviknight, Flyinum Z variants of Landorus-T, and Hawlucha. Meanwhile, Pokemon carrying Flying-type moves such as Kartana and Weavile are able to seriously dent Buzzwole as well. I do not know in which universe do these run flying moves in ND

**Fire-types**: Fire-types such as Volcarona, Mega Charizard Y, and Heatran outsped and OHKOd, all threaten out Buzzwole with their Fire-type attacks.

**Psychic-types**: Psychic-types such as Tapu Lele, Mega Latios, and Reuniclus resist Buzzwole's Fighting-type attacks, and are able to safely switch into it since it doesn't run Bug-type STAB, and can threaten it out with powerful Psychic-type attacks.

**Fairy-types**: The likes of Tapu Fini, Clefable, and Tapu Koko resist Buzzwole's stabs and force it out with their own mention fini hating Thunder punch.

feel free to disagree with me on this, but u Think a section on chip dmg would be good here, as buzz hates hazards and other chip

Its high Attack also gives it a great offensive presence with its nearly perfect coverage. Close Combat is the Fighting-type move of choice, due to its high base power evaporating has the power to vaporize nearly every non-resistant Pokemon. Ice Punch allows Buzzwole to efficiently check Ground-types like Landorus-T, (AC) Garchomp, and Gliscor and also threatening Pokemon trying to switch into it, while threatening possible switch-ins (I imagine?)such as Flyinium-Z Landorus-T, Zapdos, and Mega Latios. Meanwhile, Thunder Punch is able to pressure bulky Water-types, such as Slowbro, Tapu Fini, and Toxapex. A Rocky Helmet allows for Buzzwole to punish Physical Attackers such as Mega Lopunny, Rillaboom, and Mega Swampert. However, Heavy-Duty Boots can also be used to ignore entry hazards, as they can cut into Buzzwole's longevity. The given EV spread allows for Buzzwole to always live survive a boosted Fire Fang from Adamant Mega Garchomp and outspeed Modest Heatran variants.

Teammates that appreciate Buzzwole's ability to check Dark-, Grass- and Ground-types such as Weavile, Bisharp, Kartana, and Gliscor, such as Mega Latias, Tyranitar, Tapu Koko, and Heatran, (AC) make for stellar teammates. Faster teammates such as Weavile, Tapu Koko, and Mega Lopunny are also valuable as together with Buzzwole they are able to help Buzzwole overwhelm mutual checks such as Toxapex, Tangrowth, and Slowbro. Specially defensive Pokemon such as Blissey, Toxapex, Tapu Fini, and Slowking are able to handle the likes of Ash-Greninja, Kyurem, and Heatran, which Buzzwole struggles with due to its poor Special Defense. In return, (AC) it's able to handle physical attackers such as Kartana, Gliscor, and Zeraora for these Pokemon, creating a potent defensive core. (comma -> period) Tapu Fini makes for a particularly fantastic partner, as its Misty Terrain can also helps Buzzwole switch into attacks moves that can status it like Scald from Toxapex and Slowbro without being afraid of Status. Slowbro's and Slowking's (added apostrophe) Future Sight support also heighten Buzzwoles heightens Buzzwole's offensive capabilities, discouraging the likes of Toxapex, Zapdos, and Clefable of from switching into it. Defog support from Corviknight, Mega Latias, and Tapu Fini help Buzzwole stay healthy throughout the game. Fire-type resistant Fire-resistant (removed defog bc its pretty generally applicable to all mons) Pokemon such as Mega Latias and Gastrodon are able to handle the likes of Mega Charizard Y and Heatran. Psychic-type resists Psychic-resistant Pokemon like Heatran, Corviknight, and Slowbro can handle the likes of Reuniclus, Tapu Lele, and Mega Medicham, (AC) And Fairy-type resists and Fairy-resistant Pokemon such as Ferrothorn, Toxapex, and Galarian Slowking are good for Tapu Koko, Mega Diancie, and Clefable. Flying-type resists Flying-resistant teammates are especially good, as any Flying-type move will threaten to knock out KO Buzzwole. The likes of Tapu Koko, Heatran, Corviknight, and Mega Tyranitar are able to handle opposing Corviknight, Hawlucha, Flyinum-Z Landorus-T, (AC) and Zapdos for Buzzwole.

Other Options
=============

Bulk Up might seem appealing at first, being able to boost its boosting Buzzwole's already obscenely high Defense and Attack stats even higher. However, it doesn't solve Buzzwole's issue of its poor special bulk, while also being unable to this set doesn't solve Buzzwole's poor special bulk and can't run all the coverage moves it wants. A more defensive EV spread can be used for Buzzwole. However it doesn't used, but this doesn't heavily improve any relevant matchups and leaves Buzzwole far more passive. Taunt can be used to prevent the likes of Corviknight, Mega Scizor, (AC) and Slowking from healing up on Buzzwole, but it's generally not as useful as attacking moves. an attacking move. Other coverage options such as Earthquake for Toxapex, Galarian Slowking, and Heatran, Leech Life for Reuniclus, Slowbro, as well as and its passive recovery, and Stone Edge for Zapdos and Volcarona are also feasible options. Poison Jab can also be used to threaten Fairy-types like Tapu Fini and Clefable. However, dropping either Ice Punch or Thunder Punch will make Buzzwole severely much worse against bulky Water- and Flying-types. Flying- and Water-types. Drain Punch is also an option, sacrificing offensive prowess for an additional source of recovery, notably missing but it notably misses out on the OHKO on Heatran and the 2HKO on Mega Mawile.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Special Attackers**: Due to Buzzwole's incredibly poor Special Defense, special attacks from the likes of Ash-Greninja, Kyurem, Aegislash, and Magnezone are able to seriously threaten Buzzwole. it.

**Flying-types**: Buzzwole's crippling weakness to Flying-type moves, make Flying makes it easily scared out by Zapdos, Corviknight, Flyinum Z variants of Landorus-T, and Hawlucha. However, they have a hard time finding opportunities to switch in, due to Buzzwole carrying supereffective in given Buzzwole's super effective coverage.

**Fire-types**: Fire-types such as Volcarona, Mega Charizard Y, and Victini (RC) all threaten force out Buzzwole with their Fire-type attacks (RC) and wall it—bar Mega Charizard Y, which doesn't appreciate switching into Thunder Punch.

**Psychic-types**: Psychic-types such as Tapu Lele, Mega Latios, Mega Latias, and Reuniclus resist Buzzwole's Fighting-type attacks, and threaten it out with their powerful Psychic-type attacks. Close Combat and threaten Buzzwole out. The latter two can also set up on Buzzwole. However, the former two cannot switch in safely, as they take a lot from Ice Punch. Reuniclus and Mega Latias are also able to use Buzzwole as a set up oppurtunity. (assuming this paragraph still makes sense)

**Fairy-types**: The likes of Tapu Fini, Clefable, and Tapu Koko resist Buzzwole's Fighting-type attacks and force it out with their own, albeit Close Combat and force Buzzwole out with their own STAB attacks, although Tapu Fini doesn't like switching into a Thunder Punch. Non-Fighting-type resistant Fighting-neutral Fairy-types such as Mega Mawile and Mega Diancie also threaten Buzzwole with their powerful Fairy-type attacks but have a much harder time switching in.
