Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
core 1 felt like a legit team-breaker with u-turn manaphy, honestly I don't feel 2 strong attackers and then sudden defensive sylveon really constitutes a core rather than these mons happen to work vs the team
Winner is LaxLapras with 4 votes. If someone has a metagamiate team please send me cause I can't seem to find anyone, if I don't get a team I'm going to do BH.
Probopass @ Leftovers
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 8 SpA / 30 Spe
- Taunt
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave (idk what else to run here this is really an irrelvant moveslot but TWave could help PZ set up on smth I guess)
So basically you trap Forre w/ Probopass. Then you Taunt it to prevent Rocks (HP Fire takes 1 point out of speed so you need 8 EVs to creep). Then you set your Rocks. Then you HP Fire, but because it is 0- SpA with only 8 IVs, it doesn't do 75%, so no Custap for Forre. Then you kill Forre. Then you get to +2 speed with PZ and win. +2 PZ w/o speed outspeeds ScarfKiss and the bulk lets it not die to the 2 forms of priority on this team.
252+ SpA Silk Scarf Adaptability Porygon-Z Tri Attack vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Togekiss: 272-322 (87.4 - 103.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

252+ SpA Porygon-Z Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 8 SpD Landorus-T: 528-624 (138.2 - 163.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
208 SpA Pixilate Whimsicott Tri Attack vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Porygon-Z: 145-172 (38.7 - 45.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

0- SpA Probopass Hidden Power Fire vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Forretress: 204-240 (63.3 - 74.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Mixed Agility Expert Belt Aggron has a field day with this team too :3
Togekiss @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Tri Attack
- Air Slash
- Fireblast
- Tailwind
So, Diancie leads against the Forretress, and prevents any rocks from coming up. It also gets up a free substitute, which, is either taking the explosion, or staying up and blocking any intimidates. Then, it just proceeds to demolish everything on this team. If an intimdate gets on it and its threatened, no worries, because a variant of OM Room's own Togekiss beats his team. Fairy spam just wins. If all else fails, throw up a last hoorah tailwind and come back with Diancie, even if the opponent setup.
Dd and quick attack are incompatible on zard so this team isn't legal.
I'm also going to assume that this gyarados is shiny because return + waterfall in non shiny would be redundant coverage.
Anyway, surprisingly enough, diancie can win on its own in this matchup depending on the lead matchup.
Diancie @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Iron Defense
- Calm Mind
- Rest
- Snore
Can win if it leads against anything that isn't landorus if I'm not mistaken.
Anyway that set is super counterteamy so it would be kinda stupid to point out that the team can lose to it. But diancie can wall a suprising amount of pokemons on this team, so here's my core.
Diancie @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Moonblast
- Earth Power
- Rest
- Snore
What this core do rather than destroying the team is completely wall it, diancie taking on churuzurd, forrestress and landorus-T (suprisingly, because this team has two suicide rockers for some reason), while emp can take on gyarados and togekiss. Whimsicott is taken care of by both of them really, but whimsicott isn't a threat anyway.
252 SpA Togekiss Fire Blast vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Empoleon: 113-133 (30.4 - 35.8%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

Since there's a tie between Megamons and Balanced Hackmons I'm gonna vote myself and pick Megamons since its the last week for it. Sorry for not updating lately, I was busy and I let this project sleep for 2 weeks so it can get the activity in got when it first started. Anyways here you go:
Mortem (Sableye-Mega) @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Foul Play
- Knock Off
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover
I wanted to try stall in Megamons so I wrote down a list of defensive Pokemon and started to pick. I first needed a hazard setter and a physical defensive Pokemon the first Pokemon that crossed my mind was Primal Groudon, it's still an amazing Pokemon in this metagame. Then I needed a Pokemon to stop hazards being set up on my field, an anti-set up Pokemon so I thought why not Mega Sableye. I was pretty weak to Primal Groudon already and it seems mediocre in the metagame but its still a good addition to the team. Still with the physical defensive trend, what's a stall team without Mega Slowbro. . I was pretty weak to Primal Groudon already and I needed another hazard remover, so I hesitantly added Mega Latias it also serves as a Wish passer. I was extremely weak to specially offensive Pokemon and since Blissey and Chansey seemed like they can't retaliate back and get rid of the foe's Pokemon I decided to try Assault Vest Mega Tyranitar which works like a charm, easily the Pokemon that holds the team together. Last but not least, I needed a fairy resists and a win-condition so I decided to go for Mega Scizor, it also has priority in Bullet Punch which can help in picking off weakened Pokemon.
Here's an offensive core that does really well against this team:
Lucario-Mega @ Life Orb
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Focus Blast
- Flash Cannon
- Dark Pulse
- Nasty Plot
Groudon-Primal @ Red Orb
Ability: Desolate Land
EVs: 228 Atk / 252 SpA / 28 Spe
Mild Nature
- Precipice Blades
- Lava Plume
- Solar Beam
- Dragon Claw
Analysis:
This team has absolutely 0 switchins for Mega Lucario, so it spearheads this core, and offensive Primal Groudon cleans up the rest. Lucario outspeeds the entire team, and 2hkos everything besides Latias. If it can get a nasty plot up, it is simply going to win. Primal Groudon 2hkos the entire team, and outspeeds everything barring Mega Latias. So between them, Latias is going to be hurt enough to go down especially with pressure for it to defog (Assuming this core gets SR support), and everything else is going down regardless.
Calcs:

252+ SpA Primal Groudon Lava Plume vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Mega Sableye in Harsh Sunshine: 213-252 (70 - 82.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
Defensive teams are really hard to build in megamons, especially when they're this slow, because I can bring hard hitting offense and just 2hko everything.
