Blaziken HP

Now that Garchomp is uber, is HP Ice really necessary on MixedKen?

My point is pretty simple. You can harm Nite/Mence/Dos with SE, maybe OHKO if SR is active, so wouldn't HP Grass be a better option? If the dragon threats are somewhat handled by Stone Edge, I think surprising Pert is more important.

Being able to finish these commom pokemon will certainly make ScarfKen a good late game sweeper, and thus (who knows?), increase its usage.

What do you think?

I've never run any sort of HP with ScarfKen. o_o; I use Flare Blitz/Thunder Punch/Brick Break/Earthquake. Then again, I don't play OU.

This should be in the SQSA sticky, though.

I don't think so. This is a moveset/metagame discussion, not a simple question with an obvious answer.

Just my opinion, though.

If you think this is discussion worthy wouldnt providing some damage calcs and alternate sets be a good idea?

Ice hits Dragon Grass Ground And Flying

Blaziken's fire attack takes care of grass, steel, bug, and ice
SE takes care of flying, and fire
HP Grass takes care ground, water and rock
Sky Uppercut takes care of normal and dark

so i guess it would have better type coverage but what about damage

Assuming your using 4 Attack moves and not Agility or Swords Dance..

Banned deucer.
You're only asking about one Pokemon, so this should go in Simple Questions, Simple Answers. You're welcome to make a thread broadly debating the merits of HP Ice and Grass, though.
