[SET COMMENTS]
Azumarill's presence is greatly appreciated on Fairy-type teams, where it tends to be the Z-crystal user of choice and a good answer to the Fire, Ground, Rock, Poison and Steel matchups. Z-Belly Drum guarantees a +6 boost to Azumarill's already impressive Attack, turning it into a redoubtable setup sweeper with access to priority, and it can even offer a second setup opportunity if Azumarill gets forced out with its Z-move unused. Aqua Jet is Azumarill's answer to threats that outspeed it, such as Volcarona, Tapu Koko, and Nidoking. Aside from dealing with Ghost- and Psychic-types such as Slowbro, and Sinistcha, Knock Off is Azumarill's best coverage option against walls that resist its other attacks, such as Ferrothorn, Toxapex and Water Absorb Clodsire. Liquidation could be used as a stronger STAB option for slower foes like Iron Hands, Ting-Lu, and Celesteela, but Breakneck Blitz coming off Return beats Mega Venusaur as well as Icium Z Toxapex which doesn't fear Knock Off. Ice Spinner is an alternative that can be used to defeat both Ting-Lu and Mega Venusaur after some chip, along with getting rid of Psychic Terrain to allow for Aqua Jet to be used again. Klefki is an amazing partner for Azumarill, offering a Poison-type immunity and dual screen support to ease its set-up and spreading Spikes to chip the opposing team. Mega Diancie helps in the Fire and Flying matchups and provides hazard control, contributing to keeping Azumarill healthy as well as providing Stealth Rock to help Azumarill's wallbreaking. Tapu Koko deals with Water-types such as Pelipper and Toxapex, making Azumarill's sweep easier down the line and Steel- and Flying-types like Celesteela and Corviknight should Azumarill opt for Return. Tapu Bulu also aids in the Water and Electric matchup, handling foes like Quagsire and Rotom-W which Azumarill can struggle to bring down. Iron Valiant deals with most Fighting-types and, when paired with Tapu Koko, outspeeds and defeats faster foes such as Mega Lopunny and Mega Swampert under rain, but it competes with Azumarill for a Z-crystal. Tapu Lele handles Poison-types like Mega Venusaur and Clodsire, but be cautious of Psychic Terrain preventing Azumarill from using Aqua Jet. Babiri Berry Clefable can be used as an alternative to Tapu Lele for checking Scizor, and it also handles Mega Venusaur well as it can use it as setup fodder.
