@1:
i think the only way you could be rude is if you took another tattoo artist's original design specifically for a tattoo, and then asked a different artist to put it on you with a twist. otherwise, no, no tattoo artist expects that they're only going to put their original work on people, people almost always come in with a reference of the image/art piece they want put on them by an artist! part of the process is definitely selecting the image you want put on you and the artist you trust best to put it on your skin true to form.
@2:
hell no, be as picky as you want, NEVER SETTLE FOR ANYTHING IN LIFE, least of all a permanent, painful anointment to your skin!!! and tattoos are much more painful to remove than receive so
but again, the experience of the tattoo is all based on your artist! go to someone you trust~

tattoo artists will only refuse to tattoo you in
certain body areas based on how many tattoos you already have, otherwise nah, there's no expected trend of what theme your first tattoo should have!! my first was just black ink on the back of my neck, but i envisioned a minimalist theme for my tattoos from the get go. that's part of why i love my clouds so much, because they're likely going to be the only huge/colored piece i ever get, and i got them uhhh maybe 8th in line after all my other tiny black text tattoos! as for the 'certain body areas' remark, i wanted to get a tattoo on the front of my neck/technically on the underside of my jaw as like my second tattoo ever and i was denied because there is some tattoo culture about not doing tattoos near the face if the person isn't already heavily tattooed
