Slush Rush Arctovish uses its Fishious Rend and boosted Speed to plow through defensive and offensive threats alike. Fishious Rend's incredible power puts immense pressure on any Pokemon that does not resist it, OHKOing frailer Pokemon such as Mienshao and 2HKO'ing bulkier Pokemon such as Registeel and Galarian Weezing. Freeze-Dry hits Water-types that resist Fishious Rend, notably OHKOing Gastrodon after Stealth Rocks while OHKOing Seismitoad from full in addition to activating Golisopod's Emergency Exit. Icicle Crash is a stronger Ice-type attack that primarily hits bulky Grass-types such as Zarude and Vileplume, 2HKOing them in addition to OHKOing Roserade. Stone Edge 2HKOes Volcanion. If Volcanion is not a concern, then Protect is an option to beat First Impression Golisopod and Durant. Psychic Fangs is another option that can be used to OHKO Toxicroak, but it fails to hit any other notable targets. The given EV spread allows Arctovish to OHKO Gastrodon and Seismitoad with Freeze-Dry after Stealth Rock and outspeed up to Choice Scarf Heracross under hail.

Slush Rush Arctovish requires a Snow Warning teammate in Vanilluxe, Abomasnow, or Aurorus. It only really works on full hail teams, as Arctozolt outclasses it in semi-hail cores. Other hail sweepers are also useful for their ability to help wear down the opposing team in tandem with Arctovish. Arctozolt synergizes very well with Arctovish, as one can weaken or beat their checks in order to open the other up for a sweep. Arctovish is also capable of breaking through Steelix, which be a nuisance for Arctozolt and hail teams as a whole. Because Arctovish is weak to Stealth Rock, it appreciates Defog or Rapid Spin support from Pokemon such as Togekiss, Dhelmise, Starmie, and Flygon. Togekiss, Dhelmise, and Starmie are also able to check Choice Scarf Mienshao, which revenge kills Arctovish, while Flygon is able to check the Fire-type Pokemon that threaten hail teams and bring Arctovish in safely with U-Turn. Lastly, because Arctovish is unable to break through some bulky Water-types such as Milotic and Suicune, Grass- and Electric-type teammates such as Roserade, Zarude, and the aforementioned Arctozolt are highly valuable. Roserade and Zarude can also support Arctovish with Spikes or U-Turn.

Under Hail, Arctovish is able to use its solid offensive stats in combination with its powerful STAB move Fishious Rend in order to break through some of the tier's most common defensive Pokemon while plowing through offensive threats slower than it. Fishious Rend's incredibly high Base Power puts immense pressure on any Pokemon that does not resist it, OHKO'ing frailer Pokemon such as Mienshao, Toxtricity, and Xurkitree under hail while also 2HKO'ing several bulkier Pokemon such as Registeel, Galarian Weezing, and Snorlax huge sentence, if you are going to include anything pick out the most important calc or 2. Additionally, Arctovish has good coverage options that are able to break through many of the Pokemon that resist Fishious Rend. Freeze Dry hits the Water-types that resist Fishious Rend, notably OHKO'ing Gastrodon and Seismitoad while also forcing Golisopod into Emergency Exit range. Icicle Crash is a stronger Ice-type STAB that is used primarily to hit bulky Grass-types such as Zarude and Vileplume, 2HKO'ing them both id mention ohkoing rose here as well. Stone Edge is used in the last move slot in order to 2HKO Volcanion, who would otherwise wall this set due to its neutrality to Freeze Dry, 4x resistance to Icicle Crash, and immunity to Fishious Rend. Psychic Fangs is another option that can be used in order to OHKO Toxicroak, but it fails to hit any other notable targets. Protect is also an option in order to prevents First Impression users such as from Durant and Golisopod from revenge killing Arctovish while hail is up, but it lacks utility outside of this. also move this sentence to just after stone edge The given EV spread allows Arctovish to OHKO Gastrodon and Seismitoad with Freeze Dry, (RC) and outspeed up to Choice Scarf Heracross under hail, and maximize damage output from Arctovish's physical moves.

Because Arctovish is dependent on its ability Slush Rush in order to be viable, teammates with the Snow Warning ability such as Vanilluxe, Abomasnow, and Aurorus personally i think you would only ever use arctovish with aurorus because vish only really exists on full hail. vani is more of a screens/standalone mon with zolt and i think abomasnow is like. unviable. are needed in order to make Arctovish worth using. Other teammates capable of abusing hail such as Arctozolt is and Alolan Sandslash are (snowslash is unranked) also useful for their ability to help wear down the opposing team in tandem with Arctovish. Arctovish is also capable of breaking through Steelix for these teammates it, which can otherwise be a nuisance for hail teams on the whole. Additionally, because Arctovish is weak to Stealth Rock, it appreciates Defog or Rapid Spin support from Pokemon such as Togekiss, Dhelmise, Starmie, or Flygon. Togekiss, Dhelmise, and Starmie are also able to check Fighting-type threats like Choice Scarf Mienshao that threaten Arctovish, while Flygon is similarly able to check Rock-type Pokemon that can threaten Arctovish with their supereffective STAB moves rock-types..? you're faster than all of them. mention fire types or pivoting. Lastly, because Arctovish is unable to break through some of the bulky Water-types of the tier such as Milotic and Suicune, Grass- and Electric-type teammates such as Roserade, Zarude, and the aforementioned Arctozolt that can check these threats are highly valuable. Roserade and Zarude can also support Arctovish by either setting up Spikes or bringing it in safely with U-Turn, while Arctozolt is another hail sweeper that synergizes very well with Arctovish, as they are capable of wearing down and beating each other's checks in order to open the other partner up for a sweep. compress this last bit with the arctozolt section at the top

i would also mention being overall pretty outclassed by zolt somewhere in the analysis, the exception is in full hail where you just use both to wallbreak

hi!

when i was doing a review before uploading, i noticed issue(s).

firstly, there's 4 missing evs. normally, this wouldn't be an issue, but even when you add it to SpA...

32 SpA Life Orb Arctovish Freeze-Dry vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Gastrodon: 395-473 (92.7 - 111%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO

which leads me to the second issue, it doesn't ohko gastro as you state in the write-up. 40 SpA ohkos on rocks, and 80 SpA ohkos from full. please edit to 244 atk / 40 spa / 224 spe. do double check that all the offensive benchmarks stated in the analysis still apply when using this spread.

not sure if you got it confused with arctozolt, but they have a 10 base SpA difference, so please do make sure to double check spreads and calcs in the future!

please check and edit, and lmk when you are done with it.

Oops! Totally got it mixed up with Arctozolt, sorry about that! I was just going off of the sample set that was already on the smogon website, but yeah, I should've double-checked the calcs first. Thanks for clarifying!! All changes implemented.
