Thousand Arrows and Adaptability make "ZyDog" a powerful wallbreaker. The tier lacks bulky Grass- and Bug-types to take Thousand Arrows, which hits defensive staples like Tapu Fini and Corviknight for great neutral damage. Extreme Speed picks off faster foes such as Talonflame and Barraskewda. Outrage is its most powerful move, but it's risky, only used when opposing Fairy- and Steel-types have been removed. Toxic puts defensive answers like Dhelmise and Dauntless Shield Mew on a timer, while Glare gives a 25% chance to deny recovery to switch-ins like Dauntless Shield Mandibuzz. Zygarde-10% appreciates offensive partners that can pivot it in due to its poor bulk like Tapu Koko and Choice Scarf Genesect; in return, it can break through Steel-types like Heatran and Jirachi for them. Physical cleaners such as Tapu Bulu and Barraskewda appreciate Zygarde-10% wearing down and poisoning shared checks such as Mew and Mandibuzz so they can sweep.

Zygarde-10%, commonly known as ZyDog, is a powerful wallbreaker in the AAA metagame. With Adaptability, Thousand Arrows abuses punishes the lack of bulky Grass- and Bug-types in the tier and hits defensive staples like Tapu Fini and Blissey Corviknight for great neutral damage. Extreme Speed picks off faster foes such as Talonflame and Barraskewda. Outrage is ZyDog's most powerful move, but risky, and it is only used when opposing Fairy- and Steel-types have been removed. Toxic puts defensive counterplay like Dhelmise and Dauntless Shield Mew on a timer, while Glare gives ZyDog a 25% chance to brute force past switch-ins like Dauntless Shield Mandibuzz and can bluff Power Construct sets deny recovery to switch-ins like Dauntless Shield Mandibuzz idt Glare really bluffs BIG ZYG, it will still be obvious the moment you don’t sub/get lefties recovery/do damage. ZyDog appreciates offensive partners that can pivot it in due to its poor bulk, so Pokemon like Tapu Koko and Choice Scarf Genesect make solid partners for it; in return, ZyDog can break through Steel-types like Heatran and Jirachi for them. I would also mention it pairs well with physical cleaners like Bulu and Barra who appreciate Corv/Mew/Mandi being crippled or Toxiced. Locking into anything but Thousand Arrows is often risky for ZyDog, so i It appreciates a defensive backbone with Pokemon like Hippodown and Slowbro that can provide entry hazards support and pivoting, respectively.

QC 1/1! Nice job. Also as a reminder, we never use “abuse” or “abusers” in analyses/spotlights/articles.

This has been implemented, but why am I not allowed to use "abuse" or "abusers" when writing?

I replaced all ZyDog mentions (except the start) with Zygarde-10%. Implement if you want, it's just that the smogon analyses for Zygarde-10% always use Zygarde-10% over ZyDog. I'm not 100% sure if this is correct though.

Hey, terribly sorry, but AM GP checks are not allowed in the Social Media Spotlights section. Please feel free to check out the GP queue—pretty much everything except the Spotlights are fair game.

We’re always looking for more GP members, and I hope you keep doing AM checks!

With Adaptability, Thousand Arrows punishes the lack of bulky Grass- and Bug-types in the tier and Thousand Arrows and Adaptability make "ZyDog" a powerful wallbreaker. Physical cleaners such as Tapu Bulu and Barraskewda appreciate Zygarde-10% wearing down and poisoning shared checks such as Mew and Mandibuzz being worn down or statused with Toxic so they can sweep. It appreciates a defensive backbone with Pokemon like Hippodown and Slowbro that can provide entry hazards support and pivoting, respectively. Mandibuzz so they can sweep. (the last sentence feels very general for a social media spotlight, especially one of a wallbreaker. you could work slowbro into the pivots bit, highlight it can pivot and be part of a defensive backbone.)
