Tournament Rules:
  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
  • The banlist for this tournament is the same as the SWSH 1v1 ladder on the Smogon University server of Pokemon Showdown, and can be found here.
  • Best of five, single elimination.
  • If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
  • Battles must take place on main server or smogtours.
  • Replays are required
  • Do not make baseless activity posts; get in contact with your opponent and report missed times / scheduling issues only.
SS Bo5 is a guaranteed metagame and will be played in every week. The other two slots are chosen by each team. One is chosen by each team, and multiple of the same metagame can be selected in a given week. The available metagames for the variable slots are as follows,

SS Bo5
SM Bo5
ORAS Bo5
BW Bo5
DPP Bo5
ADV Bo5

Once the metagames for a series are chosen between the captains, you will assign players from your team to a metagame, and send that roster to myself. I will update the week post with the match-ups, and players can schedule their matches. The winner of the series is whoever wins two sets.

You have until Tuesday the 7th at 11:59 EST (GMT-5) to declare your variable slot, and players have until Sunday the 12th at 11:59 EST (GMT-5) to play their matches. The lineups above will be updated as I receive the matchups. Failing to contact the opposing captain will result in an activity win for your opponent. If neither team makes any effort to reach the opposing captain, the match will be coinflipped.

During the 3rd battle, i was using taunt gyarados. Taunt is 2 turns. However, when i taunted him, taunt was active only 1 turn, and moreover, it was not written "taunt ended", so i couldn't know that it wasn't taunted anymore.

So, delemon was surprised too, and decided to give me the fight. Cause it really mattered.

I appreciated that, if i fight you in a tour, and if i hax, i will give you the fight back. It' s a promise so i will do it.

So it's my fault if the game has a bug? i'm a magician?

I explain : i didn't see the sentence " taunt ended" , so for me his alakazam was still taunted. So i decided to attack with hp flying.

if I had known, i would use dragon dance and i would probably won this fight: i have 220 speed so with a dd i would have 330. His alakazam was probably 372 speed so, even with a dd it was still faster. So he would have probably thought that i outspeed it with a dd and would have subs again.
So, i would use dragon dance into his subs to be 440 and outspeed it.

At this moment it was 50/50 ( mind game) cause i could win by taunting into a subs or lose by taunting into a psychic.

To conclude, it mattered on my choices.

Now i let murman deciding if we have to continue the serie.
