The deadline to play all games will be one week, or until Sunday, March 1st at 11:59 pm EST. Extensions will not be given, teams must instead substitute out players should they and their opponent not be able to find suitable times to play. Activity wins and losses will be given based on host discretion and with TL decisions. Some words about substitutions: At any point in time during the week, a team may make a substitution for an inactive player. In order to do this, a manager must post in the thread, tagging the hosts, the opposing managers and the opposing player stating which player is substituting out, and which player is substituting in. A player that has substituted out for a week cannot be substituted back in. In addition, in order to catch any attempts at garnering favorable matchups (where the lineup you choose affects pairings), all substitutions are subject to veto by the hosts if the substitution is suspected to be attempting to “game” the system.

Some reminders while playing:

• Playing while using a proxy is not allowed. Please talk to me if this is an issue.
• The play timer needs to be on while playing. This is unless both players agree to not have the timer on beforehand.
• We heavily encourage playing on Smogtours while playing. There is an automatic timer and modchat in order to keep the integrity of the match in mind.

Also as a separate note, monopoke doesn't count towards tournament standings. It is by itself and will count towards something else. For this week, the monopoke mons are in this order: Beheeyem, Frosmoth, Liepard, Togekiss, Wailmer . This means that in a Bo5 series you bring the mons in the given order.

Okay, this was fun last week and I didn’t do too bad. predicts time. Again, trying and failing to be unbiased.

SwSh Bo7: TheShadowClaw vs. neomon - neomon certainly surprised me in week 1, but TSC is undeniably one of the best and should easily take this.
SwSh Bo5: ryyjyywyy vs. RaJ.Shoot - honestly not all that confident in ryy’s ability to win vs. less experienced players after last week. Could go either way depending how hard each player preps.
SwSh Bo5: LuckyPiper vs. Anime Sans - I feel like Anime Sans is going into this with a bit too much confidence. Pretty sure luckypiper will pull out the win because of it.
SM Bo5: Scraftionite vs. ayedan - If ayedan puts the effort in, I’ve seen what he can do in SM.
SM Bo5 : Blazikin vs. Close - easy HL
ORAS: 187 Fan vs. Betathunder - Fan won ORAS cup and continues to impress me. should be a fun match to watch.

ORAS: avarice vs. Lancer Fr - im excited to watch this, even if i think its a slam dunk.
BW: Joker vs. Wanony - I don’t think anyone has much doubt here. Wanony is one of the best.
DPP: Yami vs. Synonimous - really could go either way. both players had surprising losses in week 1.

SwSh Bo5: Tom842 vs. Boat (phiwings99) - Tom is a good player for sure, but boat is much more consistent and dedicated, especially in swsh.

Disclaimer: ( A few rules I made for all predicts this pl: 7 matches, 1 hl match, 1 sleeper match, max 2 matches with less than 20 margin in % eg: 41-59, most predicts should be 60-40 or more so I'm not giving everyone has super close battles and those I do mean more)

Hl matches this week areeeeee:

SM: Blazikin vs Trace: (65-35) while I do feel both get a little overlooked when considering SM, I think I'll take this victory given I have better team support and recent form, though close did lose vs a strong Wailjesus. Though My Blazikin account deserves better recognition and I'm here to prove it this tour.

BW: Joker vs Wanony( 60-40) Crazy, wild, unpredictable meets steady, experienced and dependable. I do think that joker is going to get some random stupid shit to bamboozle atleast one game if not the , but it will not at all be surprising to see Wanony bounce back from last week with a series win over Joker.

Yami vs Synonimous ( 40-60) Both looking to bounce back from their respective defeats, I think Synonimous should grab this in the bag with a narrow 3-2 victory. Should be a fun one to watch.

Ggopw vs SolarflareRO(35-65) I never thought I'd be betting against ggopw this entire tour, but Solar has just been an absolute beast in bw tours when it comes to PL. Still, ggopw is a capable builder and a part of me can't wait to make him eat my words.

Sleeper match: Lucky Piper vs Anime Sans. (?-?) I don't even wanna predict this, I just wanna see lp get 1 Mon and win again lmao. But honestly I think this will be a fun match to see, Anime is decently good too.

**Iron Crusher vs Alakazam** (35-65) I debated on this for a fair bit but this match only just didn't make my personal hl match. Still going to be a firecracker for sure. Alakazam showed us exactly how good he is last week with a victory over one of the best ( if not the best) SMers 3-1. But if there's ever someone who is frightening to play against, it's been iron crusher who's l had a steady positive record in numerous tours as far as I can remember, and has been one of the more dependable players. Still, Ic will need to build wild for this one to get out of his recent slump in tours.

**Wailjesus vs Squirtell**( 54-46) : Many have believed that 2019's breakthrough player was Squirtell, and I'd be inclined to agree were it not for one player. I'll go off on the unpopular opinion that is was actually Wail's time to shine pulling good showing in both the previous pl( heavily carrying rhyps with tsc in sm) and wc. Both have decent records inspite of playing against the best of the tier, and have proven their worth as worthy opponents to fear. I'll give Wailjesus the slight edge here but expecting a 3-2 match fr sure.
Or maybe not. Idk.
