Didn't see any moth love in the chat, so I decided to make this. I'm pretty new to 1v1, so I tried to keep the set as practical as possible while still beating the team. This is quite the fast moth, out speeding this specific Meowscarada and i also made it faster than non speed boost max speed wake so you can pray for hydro misses, though this isn't needed as no one runs this from what I know haha.... You could probably bring it down to 347 to outspeed dirge and jugs but the rolls don't really change off 4 ev's. Anyways enough of generalizing past the team lemme pull the calcs.

:bellibolt:

The hardest thing to crack was Mr. Bellibolt himself. As I was writing this I found a 100% answer in Metal Sound, as it stops any tomfoolery from happening. Acid Spray also works but this is a bit more secure incase you miss Overheat. Anyways, against Bellibolt you are always clicking Metal Sound first.

Path 1: Bellibolt Soaks T1
Metal Sound again Bolt won't kill you and you get a guaranteed kill.
252 SpA Iron Moth Overheat vs. -2 252 HP / 12 SpD Bellibolt: 345-407 (81.7 - 96.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (1 metal sound doesn't kill if they soak)
252 SpA Iron Moth Overheat vs. -4 252 HP / 12 SpD Bellibolt: 518-610 (122.7 - 144.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO (calced as a water type after 2 metal sounds)

Path 2: They do Anything else
Instantly overheat: 252 SpA Iron Moth Overheat vs. -2 252 HP / 12 SpD Bellibolt: 517-610 (122.5 - 144.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

:sylveon:
Sylveon I think I have the coolest tech for Sylveon as 23 def IVs with -Def nature behind Light Screen guarantees Moth a Petaya berry proc to OHKO it next turn.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Sylveon Psyshock vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Iron Moth through Light Screen: 226-267 (75 - 88.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252 SpA Iron Moth Sludge Wave vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Sylveon: 392-464 (118.4 - 140.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

There is no other line than this. If they lock themselves into any other move you still win.

:meowscarada:
I'm just faster innit. Naughty rada hits 345 speed and I'm at 349. If it was +Speed nature you do lose tho.
252 SpA Iron Moth Sludge Wave vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Meowscarada: 440-518 (150.1 - 176.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Anyways thanks for reading. This was a nice little puzzle for my brain and I enjoyed it a lot!

YAY!!!! (Magneton) @ Eviolite
Ability: Analytic
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Electric
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Metal Sound
- Flash Cannon
- Thunderbolt

God isn't magneton such a good fucking pokemon. There's no reason to be fancy with the EVs here because eviolite gives magneton the extra bulk it needs, so it just goes into Maxing out damage output instead.

:bellibolt: Vs. Bellibolt: :bellibolt:
Soak T1
Thunderbolt T1

Thanks to eviolite being dope as fuck, bellibolt finds it impossible to break magneton's substitute in 1 move! The general 'how-to-play' is shown in the replays above, but you can always 2HKO after 2 metal sounds, whereas bellibolt just can't break through or bulk past.

40 SpA Bellibolt Thunderbolt vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Eviolite Magneton: 46-54 (15.1 - 17.8%) -- possible 6HKO
Possible damage amounts: (46, 46, 47, 48, 48, 48, 49, 50, 50, 51, 51, 52, 52, 53, 54, 54)

252+ SpA Magneton Thunderbolt vs. -4 252 HP / 12 SpD Bellibolt: 264-311 (62.5 - 73.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Vs. Meowscarada:

Frenzy Plant T1
Knock Off T1

This is weaker than a wet noodle just kill it with thunderbolt as it can't do shit to you. As shown it always OHKOes as long as meow doesn't resist, so if it frenzy plants to play for resist you have the secret tech of clicking thunderbolt twice c:

252+ Atk Life Orb Meowscarada Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Magneton: 142-168 (46.8 - 55.4%) -- 64.8% chance to 2HKO

:sylveon: Vs. Sylveon: :sylveon:
Hyper Beam T1
Shadow Ball T1

Also can't do much here - max damage is from Hyper Beam and that's doing ~74% on a maximum and Sylveon gets 2HKOed by Analytic Flash Cannon.

Hyper Voice / Shadow Ball / Psyshock also don't 2HKO, leaving Magneton the ripe opportunity to net the KO and win.

Toxicroak's amazing frogness allows it to beat all 3 of your Pokemon. Against Bellibolt you use Swords Dance twice without fear of being Soaked due to Dry Skin, Earthquake cleanly OHKOs after +4 (Thunderbolt never 2HKOs). How about Meowscarada? Easy, just click Close Combat and laugh. Same with Sylveon, just don't miss.

lets you get off 2 mirror coats to win, note that flame orb burns but you dont take burn damage till turn 2 ends and burn damage doesnt proc if you kill with coat (https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen51v1-1850990637-0pkdryh9qeq57i177ano428ix1e0i8hpw)

:suicune:
Suicune has no way to damage you so this goes to PP (vs a pressure mon!)
Suicune has 32+32+16 (unable to rest due to no damage and no status) + 24 PP = 104
flame orb allows you to rest because it burns you
harden - 48 PP (unaffected by pressure)
Counter, Mirror Coat - 16 PP each (wtf why does this proc pressure if it fails)
rest - 48 PP [you need to rest every 9 turns starting after turn 1 ] -> you use 11 PP / 33 turns by the time suicune gets to struggle ; you have 10-ish pp left on your other moves total so you win as Suicune struggles and dies

:bw/garchomp:
Garchomp @ Rowap Berry
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 16 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Endure
- Outrage
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
Endure is for Kyurem (Rowap Berry activation to guarantee the Kyurem matchup) and Arcanine (get 2 turns of Rough Skin damage, which KOes Arcanine after Earthquake)

-1 252+ Atk Garchomp Earthquake vs. 144 HP / 0 Def Arcanine: 288-342 (80.6 - 95.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Rough Skin is 1/8th each time, total of 1/4, meaning EQ needs to do more than 75% because in BW and ORAS, Rocky Helmet damage gives the user the win if it KOes the opponent fsr

Rowap Berry is like a Rocky Helmet but for special moves, only gets to do 1/8th but that's enough to KO Kyurem
252+ Atk Garchomp Outrage vs. 248 HP / 116 Def Kyurem: 416-492 (91.8 - 108.6%) -- 50% chance to OHKO

Suicune matchup is pretty good:
  • SD -> Outrage if no turn 1 burn
  • If you get burned turn 2, you get 98.046875% chance to KO anyway
  • Turn 1 burn means you SD twice and: +4 252+ Atk burned Garchomp Outrage vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Suicune: 211-249 (52.3 - 61.7%) -- 97.7% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 0 SpA Suicune Scald vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Garchomp: 180-213 (50.4 - 59.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after burn damage, so not KOing until after you get the chance to 2HKO
  • no burns = ggs easy
I realized after making this set that choice band chomp also won but this get extra funny haha points so I stand by it
Technically it's more optimal vs Suicune bc you can get burned t1 and it's just over but less reliable vs Kyurem (don't get frozen)

:Golduck:

Golduck @ Leftovers
Ability: Damp
EVs: 108 HP / 252 Def / 148 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Disable
- Worry Seed
- Toxic

Sub Disable. Worry Seed + Toxic beats Cune. You definitely don't need this much defense but I am lazy and don't feel like calcing the optimal evs for the Arcanine mu but maybe some other time idk.

:banette:

Banette @ Leftovers
Ability: Insomnia
EVs: 36 HP / 252 Def / 220 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Disable
- Skill Swap
- Toxic

Basically the exact same thing, but with Skill Swap Insomnia, also its immune to Espeed which is cool

50/50s between two Pokemon means that the featured team does indeed have a way to counter it, and should not count as "countering."

Secondary effects like a burn from Fire Blast will not count as a win condition, except in instances of stall battles, such as poisoning once with Sludge Wave when it is needed against a bulky target, due to it being most likely to happen over time, or if the secondary effect of the move has a 50% chance or higher of activating
