AAA Role Compendium
This is the Role Compendium for the AAA tier. Each Pokemon that is here is viable in the AAA metagame, and as such, it will change as the viability rankings get updated. Feel free to discuss below whether a Pokemon should be added to or removed from a certain role; however, please refrain from discussing the order of a given subsection unless something is completely off.
An asterisk denotes Pokemon that have recently been introduced to the game (or have new moveset additions); their viability is not guaranteed.

This exists now! It's got a bunch of Pokemon (even some that probably won't be good), so expect it to get cut down over time once the VR develops. For now, just use it as a good quick reference point :]

Quick Tierlist of the NEW Mons Added / Returning in the DLC after about ~50 games or so of playing and watching many more, obviously still very early and subject to change but this was just for fun and is just my opinion.

if you want to create one yourself, you can do so here (fsr candle isn't on this list but would be Mid - Low likely)

ISAIAH'S MINIATURE TEAMBUILDING VR (EXTREMELY BIASED INPUT INCOMING, READ AT YOUR OWN PERIL)
Hi, I just hit the 100 post-DLC team mark, and after looking at my usage stats and talking about the meta a lot, I have figured out where I think the good mons are ranked. If you don't see something on here, the answer to the inevitable follow-up question is no, I didn't forget about it--I just either think it's mid or wouldn't recommend it as a first choice. I believe very strongly in only ranking Pokemon I would seriously recommend to someone who says they want to win as consistently as possible, so you'll see some extreme high/low rankings here that are different from my trends on council slates. That's just bc what I personally think about teambuilding is different from how I rate Pokemon in the context of the metagame that everyone else is playing too. If you disagree with any of my rankings, feel free to post your perspective on the meta :]]] but I will not be conforming mine to match anyone else's; that's not what the point of this is.

*I decided not to do +/- rankings because I don't think the meta is anywhere near developed enough for such nuanced ranks.
*I didn't do alphabetical order bc this is more of a mind map than anything, so I wrote everything down as the thoughts came out.

S Rank - THE VERY BEST - If you don't at least consider using one of these, you're probably trolling

:Weavile: - Technician, Adaptability - not the easiest to build around or even the most versatile, but Beat Up + Technician just kinda...cooks everything. You don't even really have to work for it either; outside of stall, pretty much everything dies or takes 50%+.
:Azelf: - Psychic Surge
- super anti-priority/offense facilitator
:Manaphy: - Regenerator, Primordial Sea - if you want to be creative or whatever you can use a bunch of other things too, but I generally wouldn't bother unless you want to try and win with Pressure or Fluffy or something.
:Corviknight: - Intimidate, don't use Fluffy it sucks, and don't use WBB unless you are absolutely certain about your gameplan against Weavile and Chien-Pao.

A Rank - THE VERY BEST but not quite as good - Really good Pokemon

:Dragonite: - Aerilate - Extreme Speed
:Great Tusk: - Regenerator, other stuff like Water Absorb, Sword of Ruin, Scrappy, etc. too is cool, but those are based on team need. Regenerator is Regenerator; you don't need your brain to profit from using it.
:Walking Wake: - Primordial Sea, Adaptability - This mon is really good at tricking you into thinking it's going to get a KO every turn, but sometimes you run into well-played Steel-type + Fairy and have 5 Pokemon.
:Ceruledge: - Desolate Land - Insane Pokemon now that it has Poltergeist. Basically has the ability to dismantle fat on its own and is surprisingly annoying to position properly against offensively because of its coverage options/priority.
:Barraskewda: - Primordial Sea - Flip Turn
:Regieleki: :Ribombee: - Dual Screens/Sticky Web placeholder
:Zapdos: - Primordial Sea, Intimidate, Fluffy - Great Tusk farmer
:Chien-Pao: - Sword of Ruin - Weavile but instead of winning right away, you get a little more Speed

B Rank - Decent but isn't going to win games without help from stronger Pokemon

:Mandibuzz: - Any immunity ability that birds like (volt absorb, well-baked body, water absorb, etc.) works, Unaware works, Fluffy works <- team-based mon, use whatever is needed
:Heatran: - Desolate Land - Heatran
:Iron Moth: - Desolate Land - Iron Moth
:Roaring Moon: - Strong Jaw, Sword of Ruin - Gets Knock Off and can be a scarfer that outspeeds Azelf, pretty cool
:Meowscarada: - Sword of Ruin - read what I wrote about Roaring moon in the line above
:Ogerpon-Cornerstone: / :Ogerpon-Hearthflame: Cornerstone / Hearthflame - Rocky Payload and Desolate Land respectively, very strong attackers with really good coverage against common defensive options.
:Scream Tail: - Unaware - Unaware Scream Tail literally can't be bad when offense is popular, and it's a top 3 Pokemon on fat structures.
:Garchomp: - Adaptability, Regenerator - Mixed Garchomp is a threat
:Kommo-o: - Regenerator - Might actually have a more relevant defensive profile than Great Tusk? Also, rocker that fries spinner Tusk pretty easily with IronPress + Dragon Tail
:Gliscor: - Regenerator - Very awesome regen rocker featuring knock + toxic + rocks
:Blissey: - Magic Guard, Well-Baked Body, Bulletproof - Random abilities you can use in your quest to check the nonexistent but somehow still impossible to beat defensively special attackers
:Gengar: - Sheer Force, Hadron Engine, Normalize - Really good when it's allowed to be the fastest mon on the field
:Garganacl: - Unaware, Water Absorb, Earth Eater - weird abilities for sure, but they do the job bc Salt Cure is an overtuned move

C Rank - misc. usable mons/troll sets
Everything else goes here

early VR noms, tiers are very loosely ordered but not really. everything was written down roughly in the order i thought about it. no abilities listed, i feel like a lot of them are self explanatory and/or i explain them already.

obviously none of this is set in stone, i have no doubt a lot of these opinions are going to change with aaapl playoffs and usage stats for the month

S Tier
S Tier mons should be used on most teams and considered for almost all teams. The best of the best. A team without at least one S tier mon is either niche or throwing.

:manaphy: this can do basically whatever you want it to. it's a bulky offense mon, it's a regenvest pivot, it's a fluffy wall, it's a fast primsea sweeper. manaphy is the best mon in the tier, most teams can fit one and every team needs to prepare for one.
:corviknight: corviknight does corviknight things, except now it eats up weavile with intim + helmet

S- / A+
I couldn't decide between S and A for these, you could easily convince me either way.
:azelf: psychic surge is amazing, almost any team can benefit from psychic surge as well as the offensive pressure it puts off, but I also feel like it's just a little too flawed to be S tier. it's strong, but i find it doesnt get the OHKOes it really wants to. the coverage and movepool is amazing, but it's hard to fit everything you want. the speed tier is great, but it's basically forced into a scarf, and even then is still outsped by scarf roaring moon and meowscarada, both of whom also limit the moves you can viably run and force you to click u-turn a lot, meaning you're not getting the chance to fire off your nuclear expanding forces as much as you want to. you could convince me it is S and you could convince me it is A, so it is here.
:zapdos: zapdos is another hugely underrated mon in the tier rn, it's fantastic glue for almost any team, not dissimilar from manaphy. intimidate and fluffy are both amazing defensive abilities, primordial sea is a fantastic offensive pivot, it can slap on any immunity ability you want depending on the team. zapdos holds teams together and disassembles them all the same. hugely underexplored imo, stuff like desoland, unaware, and magic guard are all worth considering. but because it hasnt been fully explored, i can't put in S just yet.. but it also deserves more than A

A Tier
Amazing mons, should be considered on most teams, but require a bit more support or are a bit more niche

:great-tusk: great tusk does regen stuff, great tusk does immunity stuff, great tusk does scrappy spin, great tusk does toxic debris, it does a lot of things really well
:weavile: weavile is a little too hard to build around to be S tier, but it's still pretty broken. if you can fit this, you should
:walking-wake: surprisingly versatile, even in a poor matchup it'll almost always get something done.
:dragonite: aerilate extreme speed does a lot. has a lot of flexibility in its last moveslots and EV spreads. can also probably go defensive? needs testing though. click choice banded or dragon dance extreme speed
:barraskewda: flip turn
:chien-pao: chien-pao
:mandibuzz: is similar to corv and zapdos, but you're gonna prefer those two a fair bit of the time. toxic is really nice
:heatran: desolate land is amazing in a tier with so many waters
:regieleki: regieleki is the best screens setter and it can also click extreme speed a bunch
:kommo-o: triage is mid, but it's a fantastic regen user with a great defensive profile, deep movepool, and ways to force out common hazard removal

B Tier
Great Pokemon, but require more support and/or are only applicable on niche playstyles

:ceruledge: see what i said about heatran, except you can't knock off the things you really wanna knock off. definitely amazing, it dismantles fat like a lot of things wish they could, but that's a very big restriction.
:ogerpon-cornerstone: BIG damage but awkward to get onto the field and has pretty bad 4mss
:zapdos-galar: broken in theory, haven't seen the results enough. zap eats its hits and it cant always get progress against a well played azelf or dnite
:roaring-moon: good regen mon, even better choice banded breaker, even better offensive scarfer
:ogerpon-hearthflame: triage is mid, but being a grass type desoland is really good against manaphy. same case of 4mss as her sister, though. fears WBB corv like the plague
:iron-moth: see what i said about heatran except manaphy can psychic you. corrosion is really really neat though, most offense teams have absolutely no way to deal with it once you get a few toxics up
:scream-tail: scream tail does what its always done. meta is very offensive right now, it's no surprise scream is good right now
:zamazenta-crowned: it's still zamazenta-crowned, eats weavile, azelf, and dragonite for breakfast all day
:gliscor: regen that's really good at disrupting the foe and keeping hazards up
:gengar: it's still gengar except it is slower than usual
:ribombee: sticky web is better than its ever been, but it can only do so much when corv is a top 2 mon and great tusk isn't far behind. too fishy to go in A tier, and even this is high.
:meowscarada: meowscarada does what its always done
:garchomp: garchomp does what its always done
:blissey: blissey does what its always done
:empoleon: secondary spdef mon with a more valuable set of resistances and immunities. really wishes it could defog..
:slither-wing: slither wing does what its always done
:quaquaval: quaquaval does what its always done except now it can knock off
:electrode-hisui: MGLO is still really good, the speed tier is as valuable as ever and outspeeding barra without a scarf or priority is huge
:cinderace: yet another really good desoland mon
:munkidori: its a slower gengar when you really dont wanna be slower, but it compensates for that with u-turn and stab psyshock for blissey

i'm not doing a whole C tier, but there's a lot that could go here. a lot of mons are usable right now

The meta has changed quite a lot since the DLC first dropped and I want to give my 2 cents about the VR.

:Great Tusk: :Manaphy: -> S

If these two aren’t S rank then I don’t know how to classify S rank because Corv has fallen a bit when compared to pre-DLC. You could make a case for Corv to drop down to A+ and I would agree but for now I think these two deserve to be S rank.

Great Tusk provides utility to a team that no mon can match. It basically monopolized hazard removal as Corv isn’t sufficient enough anymore and Iron Tread is trash now. Toxic Debris is its best set right now and for good reason: it is so hard to play around. Due to the change in the meta mentioned above, Great Tusk is, most of the time, the only option for a team to deal with Tspike which sucks because you don’t want your Tusk to be poisoned. If you try to go Corv to remove the hazard, BU + rapid spin might just run over your team. Other sets worth mentioning are type immunities like Water Absorb, WBB, Sap Sipper, … Basically you can customize your Great Tusk to do almost anything for your team, just overall a great glue mon.

Similar to Great Tusk, Manaphy is also an amazing glue for your team. Although, unlike Great Tusk, it doesn’t have that many viable sets. The only set worth considering, imo, is Regenerator. It can be either physically defensive or specially defensive with AV, both set provides crucial Knock off and slow U turn for teams. The physical defensive set is great for switching into powerful Choiced physical attacker to scout. Not only that, it is also a great wincon with Take Heart (Although no one really loses to it anymore, it is still a good tool to scare off passive mons). The Regenvest set still serve as a good Barra check for a lot of teams while also being able to tank hits from powerful special breakers like Walking Wake or Gengar. It does suffer from not being able to use Take Heart so you will have to be more careful around Toxic spike. Knock off is also everywhere now so keeping your AV is not an easy task.

:zapdos: -> A-

Early on in the meta I thought Zapdos was really good as it checks a lot of things and nothing really switch well into it. Now that I’ve played more, I think that Zapdos is pretty overrated. Its role pre-DLC was to check Fire and, to a certain degree, Fighting type. However, rn, fire type is as common as it used to be (Iron moth is popular but it runs either toxic or toxic spike now so Zapdos isn’t really a good check). Fighters are also no where to be found as the new meta is too hostile for them to thrive. On the offensive side, Zapdos isn’t doing much either. A lot of people probably think that the lack of regenvest is the perfect opportunity for Zapdos like I used to but in reality, it really doesn’t. Moth is still common and is still a good check for it, Hoodra and Regenvest Moon are also pretty common right now and Zapdos can’t do anything to them. With all that said, it is still pretty good, just isn’t A or A+ good.

Welp, that was longer than I expected so I will make it quick from this point on.

:dragonite: -> A- Azelf exists

:kommo-o: -> B+ fishy set is bad because of Azelf and defensive regen is bad because of Play Rough on Ogerpon.

:Scream Tail: -> A- it has been a while since DLC dropped, don’t use Unaware Stail.

:Chien-Pao: -> A Lash out broken

:gengar: -> A you basically need regenvest moon or to pray for focus misses.

:Goodra-Hisui: -> A it still does what it does best even with knock being everywhere + good ogerpon check.

:Mandibuzz: -> B maybe I haven’t used or played against stall but on the few instances that I encountered this mon, it just didn’t do anything.

:sandy shocks: -> A- the only thing holding this back pre-DLC was the fact that EE Iron Tread was everywhere. Nowadays, nothing really walls it.
Edit: After discussing a bit with Atha, I realised that Sandy Shocks is not so easy to use and might need some prediction. Still a solid mon.

:tinkaton: -> B checks a suprising amount of thing. It still sucks because Great Tusk is everywhere but it has some niche.

:volcarona: --> B/B+
sflo corona is a very dumb mon. your defensive check:
  • must quad resist / be immune to fire
  • not explode to buzz or psychic
  • be able to force it out
this basically ends up with wbb bb corv although corv does take a fat chunk from psychic + bb recoil which is very abusable. its offensive checks are dnite and ajet skewda (and technically scarf wake and meow if you can keep it at <=+1). it's even better when paired with screens support like prank corv / mew in which case you need to pray your anything not named dnite can outplay it. its biggest weakness is probably rocks which does annoy it a lot since it can get revenge killed much more easily but it just makes corona a high-risk, high-reward setup sweeper.

:ribombee: --> B- (?)
bee is the webs setter by far. removal of weavile means that it can use debris for however long it remains safely while threatening tusk with moonblast and always getting webs up vs corv through sheer pp. also has stun spore to cripple corv and flyings and w/e and its last move can be annoying: tailwind ensures that whoever comes in next gets an instant speed boost, switcheroo can act as a pseudo knock after popping sash, denying corv of getting back to full vs moonblasts, and qd is probably untouched but can see use by forcing opponents to kill it...?

:ursaluna-bloodmoon: --> B- (?)
bm is pretty threatening in its own right, and can have an easier time setting up with all sorts of immunities (wabs, levi, sap sipper, wbb) and force uncomfortable decisions with debris: attack it and get a layer of tspikes up, dont attack it and it gets to nuke you with blood moon. offensive stuff is also very funny. cm + tlens is fun to use on webs and explodes everything while specs bor can explode everything but forces you to switch out unless you want to struggle

hey look we freed :gholdengo:

:ogerpon-wellspring: :mamoswine: :moltres: :samurott-hisui: :scizor: --> at least -1 rank each

In [perhaps bigger news], we now have a Resource Council! It currently consists of tiering council members + other members of the community that have shown dedication to keeping the tier's resources (sample teams, VR, smogdex, etc.) up to date and can be trusted to do so in a more official capacity. The added members are:

> Kinetic
> Gimmicky
> cat
> UT (technically was already doing this anyway)

Gratz!

NEW VR UPDATE WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

See anything missing, in the wrong place, or missing relevant abilities? Let us know!

Manaphy A -> A+

I dont think Manaphy needs much introduction. A regenvest pokemon that can do everything you need. Scald, pivot, and U turn leave a free fourth moveslot to be used for any coverages youd need off of base 100 offensive stats. Manaphy is only truly competing with swampert, and I believe that they are equal in viability. Swampert lacks in a few important qualities that manaphy ekes out an edge from. Manaphy boasts better defensive stats and a stronger special attack, allowing for better taking and dealing of damage. Manaphy also notably differs in resistances and weaknesses, trading and electric weakness for ice and water resistances and only being 2x weak to grass. These combine to let Manaphy act as a mych better counter to threats like Chien Pao, Walking Wake, and Iron moth. Manaphy is worse in matchups with electric types and it notable lacks stab earthquakes, which is one of the main draws of Swampert. Manaphy has a different enough defensive profile to be put on many teams Swampert cant be run on.

New VR time, but this time I'm actually skeptical of some placements (not a lot of them, but some imo) :

:meloetta: B --> B+

Meloetta can quite literally blanket-check almost all Special attackers in the tier, and only has a losing matchups against like, Hydreigon and... Dark Pulse Deoxys-S, so not a lot of immediately threatening Special Attackers. Admittedly, it's super vulnerable to both U-turn and Knock Off, but I'd argue that all RegenVest users are atm, and I think Meloetta's a little bit underappreciated here, it's a great RegenVester if you're just looking to check general Special Attackers.

:thundurus-therian: C --> B- / B

Speaking of under the radar, why did this mon fall off so hard out of nowhere? I guess it's main niche was that it could OHKO Hoodra, but considering that Hoodra usage has dropped, there's like nothing that can safely switch into this, you can even tech with Grass Knot for Swampert. Speed tier isn't the best, but 331 is still respectable, and literally the only way to stop this is with Rocks or offensively, not to mention that it cooks the newly popular Empoleon since it can't run both VA and Bulletproof.

:walking wake: A --> A+

Maybe a hot take, but this mon is NUTS. There are virtually no reliable checks to it outside of Empoleon / RegenVest Primarina with the introduction of Knock Off. Now, you simply beat all RegenVesters by simply clicking Knock, and then 2HKO them if they ever dare to switch in again. You can try and predict the Knock Off, but that's also a huge risk since odds are that staying in might just lead to that mon getting blown up. And even if the opponent has Empoleon, you can easily overwhelm it since it has to rely on Roost, which it might not always get to click. I genuinly think this is the breaker of the tier, and that you always need to prepare for it. It's also bulky enough to withstand most revenge-killing attempts from the likes of Dragonite or Roaring Moon not clicking Outrage. Overall, nuts mon imo, I'd say its top 5 easily.

:ursaluna-bloodmoon: C --> UR

Ok but seriously, what the fuck is this doing here, It's legit useless outside of that gimmicky Steam Enging set I saw once (It wasn't even good with that), please consider getting rid of this garbage please and thank you, it literally does jack.

I could not agree with this more. If you cant play around Wake perfectly you lose at least one mon to it. The only reason that Wake isnt genuinely banworthy is the fact that it has an unfortunate speed tier of 109, making it lose to things like Roaring moon, Meowscarada, Chien Pao and Latios. BUT GOOD LUCK SWITCHING THEM IN

what's the general consensus on delta stream corviknight? it's not listed on the vr and i'd just like to know if i'm completely stupid or if it should maybe be listed.

i decided to experiment with it because my team was having trouble dealing with opposing weather, as i didn't have many ways to cancel it. despite having an intimidate corv, switching into ice and rock type attacks was also difficult for my team, and i didn't see anything on the vr that could help my problems while also letting me keep hazard removal on my team.

enter delta stream corviknight, which suddenly solved all the problems i was having. i just feel like the ability swap gave me better answers to iron boulder, chien pao (yeah crunch hurts more, but my team didn't have troubles with dark types), and the ogerpons.

granted, a lot of what delta stream helps corviknight against isn't too high on the vr outside of boulder, which yeah could probably warrant not including it. but idk, i'm really mostly sending this message to see if anyone else has experimented with it and likes it.

what's the general consensus on delta stream corviknight? it's not listed on the vr and i'd just like to know if i'm completely stupid or if it should maybe be listed.

You're not stupid at all! I won't go as far as to say it's a great set, but it certainly fulfills the niche you've described. Checking the strong Rock-type guys and frying Weather Ball spammers are especially valuable. The current VR was updated before the council fully settled on how many "viable" abilities to list for each Pokemon, so Delta Stream Corviknight probably got overlooked in the process. Your post more or less functions as a nom though, so maybe it'll get in on the next update if it's still decent :P

that’s about how i feel about it tbh. it mostly just seems like an alternative to fluffy on teams that already have a fluffy mon except for the instances where the weather canceling utility is more important.

Swampert A+ -> B :swampert:
Frankly I don't think Swampert was ever not outclassed by Manaphy - it has a few key matchups where it fares better, but those don't reflect the metagame we're experiencing. Gholdengo is still fantastic but is no longer an omnipresent S rank threat, Iron Moth has largely dropped Discharge in favour of Energy Ball or Dazzling Gleam, and Pokemon like Zapdos and Regieleki have all but dropped off the grid. To be blunt, a better matchup into Gholdengo and Sandy Shocks is almost never worth the tradeoff of key resistances to Water- and Ice-type attacks from Walking Wake, Primarina, and Chien-Pao. In addition to this, having Scald is a HUGE deal. I cannot overstate how much mileage you can get just by inflicting burn chip on fatties like Scream Tail and Empoleon, and Swampert can't replicate that.

Manaphy A -> S:manaphy:
It's what everyone thinks (thought?) Swampert is(was?) and more.

Roaring Moon :roaring_moon: - Add Magic Guard and bold both it and Regenerator (analysis needs a revamp if not already planned btw).

Iron Hands A -> A- :iron_hands:
The very definition of "in theory". In my experience both as a player and a spectator this mon is too reliant on facing a certain style of balance team - one that is passive and slow enough to give it free Substitutes, but also one lacking in an Unaware user like Deoxys-D or Scream Tail. Speaking of, the rise in Pixilate Scream Tail (bypassing Substitute) hurts it greatly. This mon can't trade damage comfortably unless you feed it Regenerator and its statline doesn't stop common Pokemon like Azelf and Walking Wake from retaliating if it manages to grab a kill without a sub up. My opinion could definitely shift if people started using older sets like Choice Band again.

Iron Moth A- -> A :iron_moth:
One of three Toxic Spikes absorbers in the tier. It's adapted to meta trends fantastically well by slotting in moves like Toxic, and Ceruledge has indirectly made Well-Baked Body users like Gholdengo and Blissey significantly harder to justify. Has some really understated defensive utility by walling Water-type attacks from Walking Wake and Primarina - obviously it can't take Draco Meteor or Psychic but this makes it a fantastic partner to RegenVest users like Manaphy that might be able to reliably scout but not able to reliably wall them.

Scream Tail A- -> A :scream_tail:
Pixilate is really good again and Psychic Noise is taking this mon places. Not much more to say - we've just seen set development that brings it back into the spotlight.

Zapdos A- -> UR :zapdos:
I'm expecting people to go "wtf no too far" but hear me out; what is this things niche now? Primordial Sea has lost all of its defensive utility with Ceruledge becoming a top threat, and No Guard frankly just isn't powerful enough to justify using a Pokemon with so few entry points and such a mediocre Speed tier. It can spread paralysis, but if you want a dedicated paralysis spreader you're better off with something like Deoxys-D or Gholdengo, and its offensive output is far too lacking to give it a niche now. Corviknight, Manaphy and Great Tusk are (arguably, I guess) the three best defensive Pokemon right now, yet even despite that Zapdos has had absolutely no successful showings. Maybe there's a niche for MGLO as a mixed breaker, but until that's seen in practice I can't see this as a ranked mon.

Cinderace :cinderace: - Unbold Magic Guard, add and bold Mold Breaker.

Heatran B+ -> B :heatran:
Manaphy neuters it, Ceruledge's dominance is indirectly threatening it by bringing in weird sets like Well-Baked Body Mandibuzz, and it doesn't really answer that much anymore (sorry again Zapdos). Unbold Desolate Land and bold Water Absorb.

Pecharunt B+ -> A :pecharunt:
Bro what are you doing down here. A ton of defensive utility, being, again, one of three Toxic Spikes absorbers and a fantastic check to whatever you want it to be. You can give it EE and have it spinblock Tusk (better than Gholdengo because you still wall Scrappy even if you can't block Rapid Spin), you can give it Well-Baked Body for Iron Moth and Ceruledge, or you can tech countless other abilities; Prankster Destiny Bond checks every offensive threat in the tier alongside Malignant Chain and Shadow Ball, Corrosion messes with WBB Corviknight/Skarmory, and I've used half a dozen other weird ones like Water Absorb, Wandering Spirit, and Fluffy to great success. Probably the most versatile Pokemon in the tier even when you aren't trying to do weirdo Adaptability stuff with it.

Slither Wing B -> B+:slither_wing:
Really strong breaker that has incredible utility in this meta through Tinted Lens First Impression. Nothing's changed for it, it's just undervalued in my eyes.

Ting-Lu C -> A- :ting_lu:
One of the best Regenerator mons in the tier, Protect is really strong right now with almost all of our offensive threats being choice locked and it has the bulk to tank super effective hits like Ceruledge's Close Combat if you can keep it at full (easily done im ngl). It's also incredible at chipping down teams between Ruination and nearly undeniable Spikes. Has a hard time against Regenerator Great Tusk but you can make up for this pretty handily by pairing it with Pecharunt.

Ursaluna-Bloodmoon :ursaluna-bloodmoon: Throw Well-Baked Body on there instead of Storm Drain haha.
