    I think you're talking about custom titles? Only badgeholders and above can edit their custom titles, though it can be given as a prize in some tournaments. Hope this answer at your question!

    you can also get a custom status by nitro boosting the smogon discord server, or at least u were able to. not sure if that rule still exists
