Pokémon: Ichthyovish
Creature it was based: (Ichthyostega)
Typing: Water / Fighting
Abilities: Chaser / Iron Fist
Stats: 90 / 85 / 85 / 50 / 85 / 80

Notable Moves: Close Combat / Liquidation / Flip Turn / Drain Punch / Ice Punch / Mach Punch / Bulk Up / Darkest Lariat / Dual Chop / Fishous Barrage*

Other Moves: Circle Throw / Counter / Dig / Dive / Facade / Focus Punch / Rain Dance / Hail / Headbutt / Low Kick / Reversal / Strength / Swagger / Toxic / Protect / Hyper Beam / Rest / Giga Impact

Flavor(if you want to): This pokemon grew legs and arms, giving it the ability to travel on land. It uses its legs and arms to hunt.

Role: Physical Sweeper. It could probably do best with a scarf set using Chaser and Fishous Barrage, but a bulk up set could work too.

Fishous Barrage: Fishous Rend clone but going first increases attack power by 1.5 instead of 2x.

Pokemon: Arctophosaurus (Arctic / Dilophosaurus)
Typing: Ice / Poison
Abilities: Merciless / Poison Point
Stats: 95 / 55 / 90 / 80 / 70 / 85

Notable Moves: Blizzard / Ice Beam / Hydro Pump / Sludge Wave / Venoshock / Work Up / Shadow Ball / Poison Spit* / Calm Mind

Other Moves: Protect / Rest / Round / Sleep Talk / Snore / Substitute / Endure / Toxic / Swagger / Frustration / Poison Jab / Headbutt / Thief / Venom Drench / Payback / Double Edge / Giga Impact / Hyper Beam / Rage / Take Down / Screech / Body Slam / Poison Sting / Icicle Spear / Ice Shard / Freeze Dry

Flavor: This pokemon lives high up in the mountains, obscured by the blizzards and snow. It waits for the perfect moment to shoot poison at prey, and feast while they are stunned.

Role: Special Merciless abuser. Does well with partners that have tspikes.

Poison Spit: 70 power special poison move. 100 percent chance to poison target (not badly poison)

Globantarcto (Globidens + Antarcto)
Typing: Ice
Stats: 75/105/85/90/70/80
Abilities: Slush Rush/Water Absorb(H)

Notable Moves: Blizzard, Freeze Dry, Ice Shard, Ice Beam, Icicle Crash, Spherical Fangs*, Triple Axel, Earth Power, Earthquake, Flip Turn, Hydro Pump, Liquidation, Muddy Water, Psychic Fangs, Scald, Superpower, Waterfall
Category: Physical
Flags: Biting
Contact? Yes.
Typing: Ice
BP: 80
PP: 10 (max 16)
Acc: 100
Description: The user bites it's foe using it's round teeth, removing the boosts it's opponent originally had.

Description: Globantarcto acts as a mixed ice type, being able to use both Freeze Dry to deal with water types and Icicle Crash/Spherical Fangs to deal with mons with an ice weakness, like Blossobite, Cradily, Aerodactyl, etc. But it can also go full physical or special, with great coverage moves like Hydro Pump, Liquidation, Earth Power, Earthquake, Superpower, etc.
Now talking about it's abilities, while Ice Body is very niche, Water Absorb is the main dish, making Globantarcto immune to peskies Scalds or just powerful water stabs, like Liquidation from Ghoulpion/Kabutops or Hydro Pump from Relicanth.
However, Globantarcto isn't an unstoppable force, being easily beaten by things like Armaldo, Aerodactyl, Rampardos and getting walled by others like Bastiodon. Overall, something strong but not broken.

Flavor: Globantarcto mostly prayed hard shell animals using it's round teeth the shells. But it didn't only used it's strong teeth against shells, but also as a way to break rocks to find shelter or food.

Ypuzolt (Ypupiara + Zolt)
Typing: Electric/Water
Stats: 60/90/70/105/75/120
Abilities: Volt Absorb/Water Veil (H)

Notable Moves: Bolt Beak*, Discharge, Thunder, Thunder Wave, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, Wild Charge, Aqua Jet, Flip Turn, Hydro Pump, Liquidation, Muddy Water, Scald, Surf, Waterfall, Air Slash, Drill Peck, Energy Ball, Pursuit
Category: Physical
Contact? Yes
Typing: Electric
BP: 80
PP: 5 (Max 8)
Acc: 100
Priority: +2
Description: The user charges it's beak with electricity and attacks it's foe with a nimble impact. This move always goes first.

Description: As you can see, this one is also a mixed attacker like Globantarcto, but it differs from the other from what niche they fill. Ypuzolt acts as a fast mixed attacker, being more special biased, using powerful moves such as Hydro Pump, Surf, Thunderbolt, having some utility with Scald and being able to Pivot with Volt Switch. However, it's physical side isn't something to disconsider, having some great physical Stabs, such as Bolt Beak, Zing Zap Liquidation, Waterfall. Other than it's Stabs, Ypuzolt has some interesting coverage options, such as Air Slash and Energy Ball to complement it's special side and Drill Peck and Pursuit to complement it's physical side. It's abilities are Volt Absorb, which makes it imune to electric moves from Alohwo, Blossobite and itself, and Water Veil, making it imune to burns that can cripple it's physical side. Looking how it acts in the meta, Ypuzolt's type combo helps it take care of water types such as Omastar, Kabuto, Kabutops and Ghoulpion, and taking care of flying types like Archeops, Aerodactyl and Robusteel with electric stab; now with the water typing it can deal some massive damage to Relicanth, Torkoal, Rampardos and Allohwo, for example. However, it's not something unbeatable, being walled by Bastiodon, Tyrantrum and Blossobite, and due to it's poor bulk, it can be easily revenge killed. Overall strong but not an unstoppable beast.

Flavor: Ypuzolt hunts it's food by releasing small electric discharges in the water to paralyze it's prey and snatch it with it's beak.

Desmatodrako (desmatosuchus + drako)
Typing: Dragon/Ground
Stats: 85/100/105/60/80/65
Abilities: Sand Rush/Rough Skin

Notable Moves: Dragon Claw, Dragon Dance, Outrage, Scale Shot, Earthquake, High Horsepower, Spikes, Body Press, Close Combat, Crunch, Iron Head, Pursuit, Rock Slide, Spiky Shield, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge, Sucker Punch

Desmatodrako acts as a physical tank, with good physical bulk, good attack and an ok SpD, making it a resilient pokemon. Dragon/Ground allows it to resist some typings, like Rock, Poison and Fire, and an immunity to Electric, and by it's offensive side, the type combo allows Desmatodrako to hit Fire, Electric, Rock, Poison, Steel and Dragon super effectively. Of Desmatodrako's abilities, the ones who have the spotlight in the moment are Sap Sipper and Rough Skin. Sap Sipper gives desmatodrako an immunity to Grass, while also boosting it's Atk by one stage, allowing it to switch in Tangrowth, Blossobite and Bastiodon with ease. Now Rough Skin helps Desmatodrako deal with physical mons, punishing users of contact moves, such as Allohwo, Armaldo, Aerodactyl, Omastar, Blossobite, etc.
However, Desmatodrako isn't invincible, having a weakness to dragon, fairy and ice (this one being a quad weakness), types that have some presence in the meta, with mons like Mamoswine, Kabutops, Aurorus and Archeops being very present in the metagame, while also being hardwalled by Archeops and Robusteel. Overall, this makes Desmatodrako a balanced non, having it's weaknesses and strengths.

Flavor: Desmatodrako usually walks in groups, and when it spots a threat, they all reunite making a phalanx, stopping attacks and piercing the enemy.

My entire draft was auto-deleted, so these are kinda barebones. I drew up the first three, but I don't have enough time to finish up Arcto ;(

They are all monotype because I am boring. I also decided to keep Bolt Beak and Fishious Rend but nerf the moves' BPs so that Zolt and Vish can keep their defining traits without being el busto.

If the user moves after the target, lowers the target's Speed by 2 stages. Switching-in does count as an action, in which case the target's replacement will have its speed lowered.

Universal Moves: Attract, Endure, Facade, Protect, Rest, Round, Sleep Talk, Snore, Substitute

Role: CAP 31 is going on right now and one of the concepts that was subbed was "Type Spammer." I went "that's cash money," and made this. Technician synergizes excellently with a bunch Ice-type attacks, making for an offensive threat that can effectively run mono-Ice moves. Sig move is meant to supplementary rather than be a mainstay of its sets.

Dex Entries:
"Dwelling in polar oceans, it uses it long neck to ambush fish Pokémon, lunging with its jaws before its prey notices it."
"Much of its body is frozen, freezing anything that touches it. It will likely die out when its habitat starts to warm."

Gonna have to be quick with this one, but it's time for vetos!

Name: Raptozolt
Types: Electric/Fighting (from Electric/Dragon-Ice)
Abilities: Volt Absorb, Defiant, Motor Drive (HA) [From Volt Absorb - Hustle, Sand Rush / Static, Slush Rush]
Stats: 75 HP / 110 Atk / 80 Def / 70 SpA / 80 SpD / 90 Spe (505 total)
All Moves: All of Dracozolt’s moves + All of Arctozolt’s moves - All Ice moves + Volt Switch + Icicle Crash + High Jump Kick
Notable Moves: Bolt Beak, High Jump Kick, Icicle Crash, Earthquake, Volt Switch, Substitute
110 Attack, 90 Speed, unchanged Bolt Beak. Put these all together on a physical Electric/Fighting, and you've got a broken mon. Would recommend either massively dropping Attack (80-90), Speed (50-60), or removing Bolt Beak.

Notable Moves: Bolt Beak(Water Shuriken Clone) Thunder,Hurricane,Thunderbolt, Air Slash,Heat Wave, Discharge,Volt Switch, Defog, Thunder Wave,Roost
Don't underestimate reliable Flying STAB. No Guard Electric/Flying with Thunder and Hurricane is already too much, but then it also has access to Electric (I assume? Please clarify in your post) Water Shuriken, which adds a whole other layer of problems (since with No Guard it's guaranteed to hit all 5 times). Would recommend replacing No Guard with another ability.

Think this one's self-explanatory. Mon itself is fine, just fix the typing.

Stats: 90 / 110 / 80 / 90 / 75 / 90 (535 BST)

Dracoiso Type:

BST: 135 / 78 / 104 / 78 / 75 / 45

135/104/75 bulk with Intimidate and Wish is far, far too much. Would recommend removing Intimidate and lowering HP by 15 points.
Pterozolt

112 BP drawbackless Air Slash may not be broken, but it certainly isn't healthy on a mon with 115 Speed, and so council recommends that you rework Glider or lower Speed by 15-20 points.
Typing:

Abilities: Sap Sipper / Stamina | Sand Rush
Stats: 120 HP / 100 Atk / 90 Def / 50 SpA / 70 SpD / 75 Spe / 505 BST
120/90/70 bulk with Stamina and an almost-free 120 BP Dragon STAB if it runs min Speed make this far too hard to handle for most physical mons. Would recommend either removing Stamina or dropping bulk quite a bit.

You'll have 24 hours to make changes, and after that voting will open.

Alright, time's up! Thank you to everyone who fixed their subs! With that said, Mercupty's Arctitan will remain vetoed.

Voting is now open! The rules are the same as always, and just to be sure it's clear, voting for each fossil will be separate, not in groups! With that said, here's the template:
Zolt: First Place, Second Place, Third Place
Vish: First Place, Second Place
Draco: First Place, Second Place, Third Place, Fourth Place, Fifth Place
Arcto: First Place, Second Place, Third Place

Voting will last for 2 days. Good luck!

Slate 8: Demigod Status
:ss/dragapult: :ss/tyranitar: :ss/garchomp:
This slate, we will be doing "ancient forms", with these working as regional forms (like alolan and galarian forms). The chosen pokémon were chosen by a poll, and the pseudos were chosen by the council to add type diversity and different niches to the table.

The submission rules are simple:
  • You can sub 1 to 3 of the pokémons chosen in this slate (reworks on existing Pre-Evos can also be made if you want)
  • Don't do some crazy things, like 200 Atk Huge Power Kabutops
  • Custom Elements are allowed, as long as they have something different from already existing abilities/moves and are balanced (don't do tough claws with huge power effects, or 100% acc OHKO moves)
  • Regional Forms have the same BST of their pre-existing counterparts, so you can change the stat spread, but can't change the BST.
Also, a quick note: If you want to change the preevolutions as well in any way, mention it in your post, or they will be assumed to stay the same.

Typing: ???
Abilities: ???
Stats: ???

New Moves: ???
Removed Moves: ???

Submissions will be open for about 1 week. in case of any questions or feedback, you can DM me or the rest of council or ask for feedback in the mod's discord server. That's it, good luck :)

BP:100
Accuracy: 80%
Effect: Damages any non fire type opposing for 1/8 of its health for 4 turns
PP:8
Description: A strong and fast special breaker with great coverage and it’s powerful signature move in Hellfire can rack up some serious chip on opposing pokemon. It has both Flash Fire and Levitate so you can essentially pick an immunity to have and play some serious mind games with your opponent. Overall Garchomp-Demonic is a powerful special breaker that one must account for in builder.
Flavor: This version of Garchomp was said to be a vicious monster that will burn anything in its sight, it will attack any pokemon that gets in its way and destroy them with it’s flames. The fins seen in modern day Garchomp seemed to have been a pair of wings back in the day. Legends say that Garchomp‘s reign of destruction was so bad that Regigigas had to send to Regidrago to subdue it, This duel with Regidrago altered Garchomps biology into the more dragon like one we see today and Regidrago’s dragon energy seems to have subdued the darkness and weakened the powerful flames seen in Ancient Garchomp.

Custom Elements:
Decaying Touch
Effect: Contact moves have an additional 30% chance of dealing 1/16 of the opponents health
Descrpiton: A blazing fast utility mon, With great support options in Parting Shot, Spite, Toxic Spikes and Will O Wisp. With Wisp and T Spikes it has two options to power up it’s Hex which coming of it’s solid sp atk stat should do a decent amount of damage. T-Tar Decay also has a unique signature ability in Decaying Touch which can potentially deal a lot of chip to opposing teams. Overall T-Tar provides Paleomons with a much needed Ghost type and an extremely versatile utility mon.
Flavor: A spirit with the ability to harness poison powers started to possesed the remains of previously dead dinosaurs in order to gain protection from the harsh enviorment. This process formed Tyranitar-Decay a Creature with the ability to decay the life force of other pokemon with a mere touch. Eventually when the spirit was deemed too dangerous an intelligent tribe ancient pokemon sealed TyranI tar-Decay inside some rocks . Eventually the spirit became vengeful and possessed the rocks instead the remains of the dead dinos. It was this process that caused the formation of modern day Tyranitar.

BP: 50
Accuracy: 100%
Effect: Hits the opponent twice,10% chance to lower the opponents speed
Description: Basically Kingdra but better, It has a big special attack stat coupled with good bulk and a solid speed stat that gets massively increased in rain. Dragapult-Amphibious also gets flip turn to pivot out of losing match ups like Bastiodon Overgrown and Ghoulpion. The only downside of this pokemon is that there is no rain setter in the tier currently meaning that you would have to set rain manually in order to use this mon to it’s fullest potential.
Flavor: Scholars seem to think that this ancient pokemon was most likely what Dragapult was like before it died and it’s spirit haunted the mortal world. It seemed to be an amphibious pokemont that loved hanging out water and fossil records of Dragapult suggest that this pokemon was an amazing swimmer.

Reworked Fakemon: Garchomp-Ambush
Typing: Dragon / Fighting
Abilities: Adaptability / Sand Force
Stats: 108/85/95/75/105/132 (600 BST)

New Moves (if any): Aura Sphere, Superpower, Mach Punch, Taunt, U-turn
Removed Moves (if any): Scale Shot, Iron Head, Swords Dance, Toxic

Role: Mixed Wallbreaker, Defensive & Offensive Utility, Fast Defensive & Offensive Pivot
Flavour: True to their name, Garchomp-Ambush are ferocious ambush hunters. They hunt alone, waiting motionlessly for prey to wander close enough before ambushing them. Garchomp-Ambush were somewhat lacking offensively, but m made up for it with their immense speed, durability, and surprising intelligence, allowing them to quickly adapt to any environment or situation. This allowed Garchomp-Ambush to become an apex predator in spite of other predators slowly invading its habitats, until it suddenly disappeared thanks to its young being hunted to extinction
Description: A powerful wallbreaker and pivot, utilising Adaptability alongside utility options like Taunt and Stealth Rock to break holes in the opponent's team. If you want a rough equivalent of its wallbreaker power then just compare to Armaldo-A. Its main drawback is that it struggles greatly against Fairy-types unless it carries coverage - which isn't ideal considering its 85/80 offences - and has to rely on Superpower for Fighting STAB

:bw/gabite:
Reworked Fakemon: Gabite-Ambush
Typing: Dragon / Fighting
Abilities: Shed Skin / Sand Veil

New Moves (if any): Aura Sphere, Mach Punch, Taunt, U-turn
Removed Moves (if any): Scale Shot, Iron Head, Swords Dance, Toxic

Role: NFE mon
Flavour: Gabite-Ambush, during mating seasons, would often shed large amounts of scales in order to lead other Gabite-Ambush to them. For a long time this worked fine, but as more predators slowly began to spread to Gabite-Ambush's habitat it was hunted to death before it could adapt.
Description: NFE mon

Reworked Fakemon: Gible-Ambush
Typing: Dragon
Abilities: Shed Skin / Sand Veil
Stats: 68/35/60/30/65/42 (300 BST)

New Moves (if any): Aura Sphere, U-turn
Removed Moves (if any): Scale Shot, Iron Head, Swords Dance, Toxic

Role: LC mon
Flavour: Gible-Ambush lived on a small archipelago that was previously unconnected to the nearby mainland, until a nearby volcano eruption created a land bridge between the two. This eventually lead to the line's extinction, as numerous predators moved to the island and took advantage of Gible-Ambush's vulnerability to being eaten
Description: LC mon

Reworked Fakemon: Tyranitar-Guardian
Typing: Steel / Dark
Abilities: Heavy Metal / Unnerve
Stats: 100/95/80/100/134/91 (600 BST)

New Moves (if any): Flash Cannon, Steel Beam, Snarl
Removed Moves (if any): Dragon Dance, Earthquake, Fire Punch+Fang, Ice Punch+Fang, Stone Edge

Role: Special Wall, Stealth Rock Setter, Stallbreaker (Taunt + Toxic Immunity), Special Wallbreaker
Flavour: Considered an ancestor of modern Aggron as well as Tyranitar, Tyranitar-Guardian was fiercely protective of its territory. It claimed entire mountain ranges and fought viciously with other Pokemon it deemed a threat. To those it didn't see as threats to its territory though, it was incredibly kind. Tyranitar-Guardian's mountain ranges were often home to a unique array of Pokemon, often those too weak to survive in the wild, which then created a symbiotic relationship between the two; Tyranitar-Guardian protected these Pokemon, and in return they would feed Tyrantiar-Guardian. When two Tyranitar-Guardians fought over territory though, the winner would often mercilessly chase out all the residing Pokemon from the land it won
Description: A powerful and much needed special wall, with an excellent typing, a good amount of wallbreaking potential, and utility options like Taunt and Stealth Rock. Though its lack of reliable recovery severely limits its ability to wall and its lack of physical bulk leaves it vulnerable to arguably the most common coverage move in the tier (Earthquake lol), Ttar-G makes up for this with its titanic special bulk and good defensive profile. It matches up well vs the defoggers of the tier - most notably it can do a decent amount to Robusteel while taking very little from its STAB in return, though it does have to watch out for Heat Wave - and against the other ugly bastard of defensive teams, Bastiodon-Overgrown (252 Spa Ttar-G can 2HKO with Flamethrower/Fire Blast)

Typing: Electric / Poison
Abilities: Clear Body / Illuminate / Dazzling
Stats: 109/90/75/100/105/121 (600 BST)

New Moves (if any): Wild Charge, Luminous Darts, Volt Switch, Gunk Shot, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Toxic, Dazzling Gleam
Removed Moves (if any): Draco Meteor, Dragon Darts, Hydro Pump, Scald, Surf, Fire Blast
Name: Luminous Darts
Base Power: 45
Accuracy: 100%
PP: 10
Category: Physical
Type: Electric
Effect: Hits twice. Bypasses Substitute & foe's Reflect/Aurora Veil/Etc
Priority: 0
Flags (ex: Contact, Sound): Protect, Authentic (this is the flag that allows it to bypass Substitute; the Sound tag is only used for Soundproof)

Role: Defensive Pivot, Mixed Wallbreaker, Special Wall
Flavour: A seldom-seen Pokemon, Dragapult-Luminous' primary habitat is deep underwater cave systems. Dragapult-Luminous' body is completely white due to the lack of natural light in its habitat. It possesses natural bioluminescence, which it uses to attract mates. When using this bioluminescence - or venturing out into the light - a curious thing happens: Dragapult-Luminous' body begins to turn a dark teal colour. Its theorised that this colour change was used to show of the Pokemon's vitality, as stronger individuals seemed to develop deeper colours than weaker ones
Dragapult-Luminous actually survived far longer than other ancient Pokemon despite being incredibly sensitive to changes in their environment, though they did eventually go extinct thanks to the extinction of their primary foodsource, Kabuto
Description: A fast, bulky special attacker with a lot of natural wallbreaking power due to its 100 base SpAtt and ability to decimate some of the tier's top threats such as Archeops-A, Aurorus-R, Robusteel, and Ghoulpion with its STAB. It also keeps Flamethrower to severely dent Bastiodon-O and a few neat support options with Will-O-Wisp and Thunder Wave. It's no slouch defensively either, with a useful set of resistances like Flying, Fairy and Electric. Its 4x weakness to Ground really hinders it however due to the amount of Ground coverage in the tier, and its relatively low Def means its often being KOed by a stray Earthquake unless you're running Air Balloon ig

Role: NFE mon
Flavour: Drakloak-Luminous live in colonies consisting of multiple Dreepy-Luminous. Upon evolution they leave their colony. Their saliva contains a highly dangerous neurotoxin that can paralyse prey in seconds. Draloak-Luminous's venom is highly valued in the field neuroscience, both due to its potency and incredible rarity
