The next slate is going to be a special slate, in which variants of Ultra Beasts are allowed! You must make it an Alolan form, so keep that in mind for it. Submissions start now!

Pokemon: Alolan Stakataka
Region: Alola
Type: Fairy
Ability: Comatose
Stats: 101/131/53/61/211/13
(HP went to SpA, SpA went to Def, Def went to SpD, SpD went to HP.)
New Moves: Play Rough, Misty Terrain, Dazzling Gleam, Fairy Lock, Crafty Shield, Feather Dance, Cotton Spore, Hypnosis, Dream Eater, Heal Pulse, Imprison, Refresh, Stockpile, Spit Up, Swallow, Play Nice, Yawn
Removed Moves: Rock Blast, Rock Polish, Rock Slide, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge, Rock Throw, Rock Tomb, Sandstorm, Smack Down, Autotomize, Flash Cannon, Gyro Ball, Iron Head, Iron Defense, Magnet Rise, Bulldoze, Rest
Overview: Now, Stakataka is a pillow fort! Instead of a Trick Room sweeper, it's now a bulky offense Fairy. It can take a good amount of punishment on the special side, and it can't be statused because of Comatose. What's more, it retains Earthquake, which means it's got pretty much all it needs to be an effective attacker. However, to compensate, its physical defense is relatively poor, and it deals poorly with Flying types that resist Play Rough, so you'll have to prepare for those, and it has no recovery to speak of besides Swallow. So, your best bet is wearing it down with Stealth Rock over time, and then taking it down with a clean physical attack.

I was just going to ask if we were ever going to bring this thread back. Anyway:

Twas the night terror before Christmas:

Pokémon: Alolan Xurkitree
New Typing:

New Abilities: Cursed Body
New Stats: 83/79/71/173/101/63 (-10 Attack, +30 Sp. Def, -20 Speed)
New Moves: Curse, Dark Pulse, Destiny Bond, Memento, Nightmare, Ominous Wind, Phantom Force, Shadow Ball
Removed Moves: None

Flavor/Design: Its wires are purple and wispy, and the lights are bright blue and orange. Alolan Xurkitree landed at Hau'oli Cemetery, where it absorbed the energy of Misdreavus and Drifloon living there. It has subsequently developed the ability to use many Ghost-type attacks, and is able to shock anyone who goes near it - both figuratively and literally.

Wielder of... sparkly things?:

Pokémon: Alolan Kartana
New Typing:

New Abilities: Long Reach
New Stats: 59/59/151/181/31/89 (Swapped Attack and Sp. Atk, +20 Defense, -20 Speed)
New Moves: Confusion, Power Gem, Psyshock, Psychic, Stealth Rock, Secret Sword
Removed Moves: Fury Cutter, Giga Drain, Leaf Blade, Razor Leaf, Sacred Sword, Synthesis

Flavor/Design: Its blades are sparkly purple and red with textures reminiscent of gemstones, and its legs are light brown and look like they're made out of rock. Alolan Kartana descended into the Vast Poni Canyon, where its typing and appearance changed to adapt to its new surroundings. As its body is made out of gemstones, Alolan Kartana is much heavier and slower than the kind from its original world. It uses the gems on its arms to simulate blades flying at opponents, which many believe hurt just as much as an actual attack from a regular Kartana.

Pokémon: Alolan Nihilego
New Typing: Water / Poison
New Abilities: Regenerator
New Stats: 89 / 33 / 77 / 137 / 101 / 123 (570 BST, -20 HP, -20 Atk, +30 Def, +10 SpA, -30 SpDef, +20 Spe)
New Moves: Hydro Pump, Surf, Scald, Flash Cannon, Recover, Ice Beam, Haze (+7)
Removed Moves: Gunk Shot, Poison Jab, Head Smash, Worry Seed, Brutal Swing, Power Gem, Pain Split (-7)
Flavor/Design: Alolan Nihilego's tentacles split up into many smaller ones, and the bell which would be its head has 8 glowing blue eyes. A Nihilego that went through an Ultra Wormhole while pursuing a pokemon trainer that had gone through Ultra Space to find a specific variant of Nihilego to investigate ended up teleporting into... the oceans of Alola?! Upon touching the oceanic water, it began to flail around helplessly as its strength and life energy drained away, not being able to even move around before it started to fall unconscious and sink to the bottom of the ocean floor. Years later, a pokemon trainer, while fishing, reported seeing the corpses of dead Magikarp, Relicanth, and Lumineon floating on the ocean waters. At first, it didn't seem like much - what would you expect from a parasitic jellyfish? However, researchers soon realized that it was suffering - the oceans that it was used to living in was not the ocean that it could survive in - it was dying. Soon, as people living in Seafolk Village began to fall ill, researchers discovered odd lights coming from the ocean at night. But little did they know that they had found a new life-form even more threatening than they had expected - Alolan Nihilego.

Pokémon: Alolan Guzzlord
New Typing:

New Ability: Levitate
New Stats: 223 / 101 / 53 / 103 / 67 / 23 (BST: 570) (+6 SpA, +14 SpD, -20 Spe)
New Moves (17): Calm Mind, Confusion, Cosmic Power, Gravity, Psychic, Psyshock, Trick Room, Zen Headbutt, Dream Eater, Confuse Ray, Curse, Destiny Bond, Shadow Sneak, Shadow Ball, Foul Play, Taunt
Removed Moves (17): Bite, Brutal Swing, Crunch, Knock Off, Snarl, Thief, Draco Meteor, Dragon Rage, Dragon Rush, Dual Chop, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Heat Wave, Brick Break, Hammer Arm, Rock Slide, Stone Edge

Flavor/Design: (WIP, but basically a Nebula)

Time to force some invasive species down a peg by denying them their proper diets!

Pokémon: Alolan Celesteela
New Typing: Grass/Ground
New Abilities: Leaf Guard
New Stats: Unchanged
New Moves: Earth Power, Wood Hammer, Synthesis, Worry Seed, Stealth Rock, Sunny Day (6)
Removed Moves: Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Flame Charge, Acrobatics, Air Slash, Fly (6)

Flavor/Design:

Despite initial fears about the Ultra Beasts as a group of the ultimate invasive species, not all of them flourished on Earth. The condition of Alola's soil isn't nearly as favorable for Celesteela as the ones in the Ultra Crater, so despite the chaos caused by grown Celesteela, their young are far more threatened by Alola than the other way around. Most Celesteela born on Earth died of malnourishment long before reaching adulthood, and the few that survived didn't display many of the traits that make Celesteela so dangerous, due to the soil having very little of the stuff Celesteela need to absorb to grow their metal armor and flammable gas.

While a few other forms cropped up (notably a very small one that can sometimes be found roaming the skies, which is a topic for another day), one particular breed has cropped up that is considered to be the proper Alolan Celesteela.

This form of Celesteela has adapted to use the nutrients in Alola's native soil. Having a non-metallic body and being unable to create fire (and thus fly), it is unable to live or fight the same way the typical Celesteela can. Indeed, the first of these Alolan Celesteela discovered was mistaken for an ordinary plant in the shape of a Celesteela, due to its immobility.

Initially a simple curiosity, Alolan Celesteela is steadily becoming a popular pick for trainers. While not having all the powers of a normal Celesteela, they still have the strength of one, and can actually be sought out by people lacking interdimensional travel.

Is the prime number stat rule still a thing for UBs?

Pokémon: Alolan Xukitree
New Typing: Grass/Electric
New Abilities:
New Stats: Swaps SpAtk and Attack.
New Moves: Dragon Dance, Sword Dance, Petal Blizzard, Leaf Blade, Leech Seeds, Wood Hammer, Sleep Powder, Stun Spore (8)
Removed Moves: Hypnosis, Eerie Impulse

Flavor/Design: Turns more into an actual tree. Being among the tropics will put leaves on your alien thunder tree for sure. It has less glow and is more green.
Description still WIP.

Pokemon: Alolan Naganadel
New Typing: Poison/Bug
New Abilities:
New Stats: Same
New Moves: Quiver Dance, Bug Buzz, Pin Missile (3)
Removed Moves: Dragon Tail, Dragon Pulse, Outrage, Draco Meteor (4)

Flavor/Design: Becomes truly insective. No dragon in its DNA any more from exposure to our world.

I got rid of Beast Boost for the flavour that they became less Ultra Beast after fully adapting to Alola.

Pokémon: Alolan Guzzlord
New Typing:

New Ability: Gluttony
New Stats: 191 / 101 / 61 / 103 / 67 / 47 (BST: 570)
New Moves (18): Earth Power, Mud Bomb, High Horsepower, Stealth Rock, Mud Shot, Sandstorm, Sand Attack, Dig, Shore Up, Mud Slap, Toxic Spikes, Gunk Shot, Sludge, Acid, Acid Spray, Belch, Poison Gas, Belly Drum
Removed Moves (17): Bite, Brutal Swing, Crunch, Knock Off, Snarl, Thief, Draco Meteor, Dragon Rage, Dragon Rush, Dual Chop, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Brick Break, Hammer Arm, Shock Wave, Magnet Rise

Flavor/Design: Once Guzzlord adapted to Alola, it immeduately began to compete with Aloan Muk with the consumption of garbage. Guzzlord did it so efficiently, there was almost none left, so it began to consume large amounts of soil to supplement its diet, and became a pest. It became a bit more aggressive to fend of gangs of Alolan Muks and Grimers from Garbage heaps.

Pokémon: Alolan Celesteela
New Typing:

New Ability: Mega Launcher
New Stats: 97 / 101 / 61 / 103 / 101 / 103 (BST: 570)
New Moves (19): Overheat, Heat Wave, Flare Blitz, Heat Crash, Will o Wisp, Sunny Day, Flame Burst, Lava Plume, Nasty Plot, Dark Pulse, Knock Off, Pursuit, Taunt, Embargo, Fake Tears, Smokescreen, Smog, Thief, Eruption
Removed Moves (19): Mega Drain, Absorb, Giga Drain, Leech Seed, Ingrain, Seed Bomb, Air Slash, Heavy Slam, Iron Defense, Metal Sound, Smart Strike, Energy Ball, Grass Knot, Autotomize, Gyro Ball, Stone Edge, Magnet Rise, Shock Wave, Zen Headbutt

Flavor/Design: The Celesteela that stayed in Alola quickly realised that the minerals that they crave and need to survive was almost absent from the region -- except within the volcanoes of Alola. The Celesteela began feeding on lava from eruptions, and the resulting hot earth reshaped their bodies to be faster and less metallic, more glassy sillicone based. They became extremely aggressive and territorial over their new food source however, and attack anything that may threaten it with brutal force.

Pokémon: Alolan Blacephalon
New Typing:

New Ability: Rock Head
New Stats: 53 / 127 / 53 / 151 / 79 / 107 (BST: 570)
New Moves (19): Rock Throw, Rock Tomb, Rock Polish, Earth Power, Stealth Rock, Sandstorm, Power Gem, Stone Edge, Head Smash, Ancient Power, Rock Slide, Stomping Tantrum, Play Rough, Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, Fairy Wind, Moonlight, Misty Terrain, Sweet Kiss
Removed Moves (19): Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Flame Burst, Overheat, Will O Wisp, Flame Charge, Ember, Heat Wave, Sunny Day, Shadow Ball, Shadow Claw, Astonish, Night Shade, Psychic, Psyshock, Spite, Quash, Knock Off, Dark Pulse

Flavor/Design: Blacephalon of Alola migrated towards caves, and quickly realised that a massive assortment of Dark types would hunt them down to extinction. So to hide from them, they started to dim down their lights and blend in with the rocks, until it began to incorporate gemstones to camouflage better.

Pokémon: Alolan Pheromosa
New Typing:

Replacement Ability: Mold Breaker
Stats: Unchanged
New Moves (6): Earth Power, Ice Punch, Clear Smoke, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Gunk Shot
Removed Moves (6): Double Kick, Quick Guard, Triple Kick, Rapid Spin, Swift, Leer

Flavor/Design: Upon landing in the Lush Jungle, the stray Pheromosa are unable to quickly adapt into it because of the fruits they believe to be filthy. Those who bothered eating them to survive, however, become so mesmerized by the delicious taste that they slowly but surely widen their diet, to the point where no known crops were safe from their newfound hunger. They even developed their own poison that make them immune to even the most effective pesticide. Their body become slightly wider - but still fairly slender - and their body become purple. Despite all of this, they maintain their regal attitude and prefer to finish eating their foods rather than letting them half-finished.

Competitive Usage(s): Revenge killer with a demonic 151 base Speed enable it to outspeed a vast majority of the OU tier, with impressive 137 for Attack and Special Attack to back it up. Although very risky, once Quiver Dance is set up, it can threaten a vast majority of Fairy-type like all of the Tapus (especially Tapu Bulu) and, with Earth Power, even a Mega Mawile that lacks a Sucker Punch. And thanks to its Bug-type, even the likes of Mega Alakazam can be threatened if Alolan Pheromosa uses a Choice Scarf or even a Focus Sash. It can also maintain momentum with U-Turn and can Taunt on a passive wall to make it a set up fodder. Mold Breaker allows it to not worry about Disguise, Unaware, Sturdy, and other defensive Abilities except contact-based ones like Iron Barbs.

Is This Overpowered?: Chances is that, without Beast Boost and with a less potent STAB combination, it won't be. It's bulk is abysmal and can get revenge killed by Pokémon who managed to get faster (via set-up or Choice Scarf if Alolan Pheromosa don't wear one) and, without support of Psychic Terrain, Priority Moves can also blunder it fast. It is weak to Stealth Rocks and is vulnerable to other Entry Hazards thus requiring support to avoid its Focus Sash from being useless. Trick Room can completely ruins it as almost everything can outspeed by then. Special Sets can get walled hard by the likes of Celesteela without setting up or Knock Off support. Use it as a risky sweeper or revenge killer, not a wallbreaker.

Pokémon: Alolan Buzzwole
New Typing:

Replacement Ability: Iron Fist
Stats: Unchanged (BST: 570)
New Moves (6): Metal Claws, Steel Wings, Metal Burst, Meteor Mash, Megahorn, Pin Missile
Removed Moves (6): Vital Throw, Comet Punch, Mega Punch, Dynamic Punch, Roost, Dual Chop

Flavor/Design: Upon landing inside the Dividing Peak Tunnel, the Buzzwole keep on crushing their way by flexing on the minerals, especially on small metals. This resulted their exoskeleton that cover their blood sacks to become more metallic yet shinier. They also developed spikes that they can shoot and that can quickly regenerates. Even their antennas ends up being more solid and resilient, and they even flex those to attack the opponents with them. A single antenna bash results a leveled building.

Competitive Usage(s): With a very strong base attack and a somewhat herculean physical bulk, Alolan Buzzwole isn't something to go away soon. This metallic muscular mosquito can make even Clefable mighty afraid, and have enough physical bulk to go hand to hand against Mega Mawile. Iron Fist allows it to give an extra oomph for Drain Punch and Focus Punch, and the big lad (or lass) even have Earthquake or Stone Edge to punish switching in Fire-types. With Bulk Up, its physical prowess gets even stronger and can spell doom into almost any Physical fighters lacking a Fire-type coverage.

Is This Overpowered?: The lack of Beast Boost means that it cannot snowball, thusly is more confined as either a wallbreaker or a set up bulky sweeper. The loss of Roost means that it have to rely on Drain Punch or Leech Life to maintain itself, otherwise it will get worn down very quickly does to its slow speed. It's Special Defense in general is poor, meaning that any competant special attackers with at least neutral hits can quickly take Alolan Buzzwole out before it can even act. It have no Priorty moves, which means it have to take a hit from faster Pokémon in order to strike. As such, it faces competition with fellow Steel / Bug Mega Scizor, who may require a Mega Slot, but Swords Dance + Technician can punch holes into what Alolan Buzzwole couldn't break so easily. However, Alolan Buzzwole can compensate by being able to wear a Choice Band or an Assault Vest.

If either of these two are too powerful (though I know that this is more about flavor than about competitive standpoint), let me know.

Will regional evolutions be added when Sw/Sh are out?
I'm not part of the council or anything, but Aquatic said no on the Pet Mod Discord server, as he simply don't want new evolutions involved into the Regional Variants project. Although it can be done in a separate Pet Mod called Regional Evolutions, or being part of an evolution related Pet Mod. Just not as part of this Pet Mod here.

Pokémon: Stakataka-Alola
New Typing:
Ground / Steel
New Abilities: Sand Stream
New Stats: Unchanged
New Moves: Shore Up
Removed Moves: Round

Flavor/Design: Staktaka evolved over time in the Haiana Desert. Intense sandstorma have forced it to take a pyramidical shape. It's body is now a bright beige in order to camouflage with the sand.

Alright, so I'm going to get in two last minute votes here.

Pika Xreme's Alolan Celesteela
KeeganSkymin4444's Alolan Stakataka

With that, we have seven winners for this slate! In second place with three votes are Pika Xreme's Celesteela, PokePoindexter's Xurkitree and Kartana, and Stitch98's Guzzlord!

And, tied for first place with four votes each are SteelixPrismGX's Nihilego, G-Luke's Blacephalon, and my Stakataka! With this slate wrapped up, that concludes Regional Variants in Generation 7. We will be moving on to Generation 8 now, so the next slate will allow Galarian forms and Gen 8 Pokemon. However, regional evolutions (Sirfetch'd, Purrserker, Cursola, etc.) will be disallowed for now, with the status of this decision currently pending. Additionally, please do not submit your own regional evolutions. Keep that in mind, and the first Gen 8 slate is open!
