Dragonite provides a variety of offensive utility, being an incredibly strong anti-offense tool, a potent setup sweeper, and a nigh-unparalleled late-game cleaner. Earthquake threatens Rock- and Steel-types like non-Earth Eater Garganacl, Kingambit, and Gholdengo, while Ice Spinner threatens select Electric-types like Sandy Shocks and Zapdos and removes Azelf's Psychic Terrain. Roost provides Dragonite with much-needed longevity, notably allowing it to turn Corviknight into setup fodder. Sharp Beak is an option over Life Orb to ensure that Dragonite does not wear itself down as quickly; alternatively, Heavy-Duty Boots improves its longevity, allowing it to pose a threat multiple times in a game and leverage its typing to act as a passable check to Water- and Fire-types like Barraskewda and Iron Moth. Dragonite's ability to clean late-game is appreciated by wallbreakers that can break open holes in the opposing team earlier in the game, like Volcarona and Chien-Pao. Its ability to act as potent speed control also allows it to make up for teammates that have middling Speed tiers like Ceruledge, Galarian Zapdos, and Choice Specs Walking Wake. Dragonite's tendency to get forced out by Azelf means it requires a partner that can consistently switch into it like Empoleon, RegenVest Manaphy, or Swampert. When not using Heavy-Duty Boots, entry hazard control from teammates like Corviknight, Great Tusk, and Mandibuzz is a must-have.

Dragonite provides a blend of offensive utility to the table - an incredibly strong anti-offense tool, a potent setup sweeper, and a nigh-unparalleled late-game cleaner. Earthquake threatens Rock- and Steel-types like non-Earth Eater Garganacl, Kingambit, and Gholdengo, while Ice Spinner threatens select Electric-types like Sandy Shocks and Zapdos, while removing Psychic Terrain from Azelf. Roost provides Dragonite with much needed longevity, allowing it to turn Corviknight and non-Nasty Plot Gholdengo into setup fodder. This isn't even necessarily true for TWave Hex Gholdengo so might be worth removing Sharp Beak is an option over Life Orb to ensure that Dragonite does not wear itself out as quickly; alternatively, Heavy-Duty Boots improves Dragonite's longevity and allows it to pose a threat multiple times in a game. Might be worth also emphasising Dragonite's defensive utility as a nice Fire/Water resist that HDB helps with Dragonite's ability to clean late-game is appreciated by wallbreakers who can break open holes earlier in the game, like Volcarona and Chien-Pao. Might also be worth mentioning its ability to act as speed control helps is nice to allow it to be paired with slower wallbreakers Dragonite's tendency to get forced out by Azelf requires a partner like Choice Scarf Roaring Moon who can threaten it out. If anything I'd prefer a defensive answer like RegenVest whatever or Mandibuzz because they already threaten Azelf out most of the time. Might also be worth mentioning removal is nice.

Dragonite's ability to clean late-game is appreciated by wallbreakers who can break open holes earlier in the game, like Volcarona and Chien-Pao; and its ability to act as potent speed control allows it to make up for teammates that may have middling speed tiers like Choice Specs Specs is way too common to have to specify Walking Wake, Volcanion Ceruledge, and Choice Band Galarian Zapdos. Dragonite's tendency to get forced out by Azelf requires a partner that can consistently switch into it like Empoleon, RegenVest Manaphy, and Swampert. When not using Heavy-Duty Boots, hazard control from teammates like Corviknight, Great Tusk, and Mandibuzz is a must-have.
