This thread is our main index and will hold a history of announcements for Monotype.

If you're new, this thread should be able to direct you to the various resources we have to help you get started, as well as other interesting information about Monotype's history! If you have any questions after reading through this thread and checking out the resources, please ask them in the simple questions thread.

Tournaments, Rules, & Competitions
Cumulative player records for all major Monotype team tournaments can be found here.

Policy for Cheating in Tournaments
Monotype will primarily use the Ghosting/Cheating policy from the Tournaments Forum.

In short, if you're caught ghosting (helping/playing for another player) or cheating in any way (as interpreted by the Monotype forum moderation team) in one of our tournaments you will be banned from Monotype-related tournaments/events for 6 months. This includes our seasonals in the Circuit Tours sub-forum.

Tour banned users may still participate in the discussion in the main Monotype room on Pokemon Showdown, but their scores will not be counted in events (such as the Monotype Best Leaderboard Tour).

Tour banned users may still participate in forum projects/discussions and suspect tests.

Kev has been an active upstanding member of the community for years now, and we are confident he will have good judgement in tiering related decisions with his experience and metagame knowledge, especially when the DLCs are so near. The Monotype major team tour compiler sheet has been fully remodeled! You can find it by clicking here. (Made by me)

Aside from the new facelift, the sheet is fully sorted and includes stats on players in different metagames that have been played in any of the major team tours recorded on the sheet. In addition to that, the compiler links with on-going tour sheets so it has the ability to update simultaneously! Thanks to everyone for their patience with this and contact me if there are any bugs or inaccurate information!
