Announcement Welcome and Farewell

Hi all, 2021 has been quite hectic with a lot of our veteran players moving on from their positions and retiring. That being said, Kev and I are sad to announce that Ticken will be stepping down from mono forum mod. Ticken has helped monotype advance in so many ways, mainly through his helpful spreadsheets, but also hosting and ensuring tournaments and other projects run smoothly. While he is stepping down from a more managerial role, he was generous enough to continue his contributions in maintaining information threads and clearing out the forums; we are very greatful that he will continue being such a valuable asset to the monotype team. He is just a hub of information and did a lot to help mono advance, thank you for everything!

Moving on, we are going to be welcoming two new forum mods to our team, maroon and Bondie. Maroon has been part of the monotype community for a very long time and his list of contributions are vast and remarkable. He leads a lot of projects, and has been doing amazing work with the monotype c&c team. He is a very valuable and trusted member of this community and we are happy to have him. Similarly, Bondie has done a lot as well. He has been very active in the monotype room on PS! and has been shifting his passion towards the forum. He has been a pillar of the monotype community for a very long time, and always has its best interest in mind. Both are hardworking and are constantly developing new projects and trying to get the monotype community more accessible to the public.

We also have two other departures to announce, both Harpp and Ridley will be stepping down from council. They have contributed a lot and helped a lot with the decisions in gen 8 while I was new to being a TL. There input has been essential throughout their tenure, allowing for the council to make timely and educated tiering decisions. Harpp has been an incredible contributor over the years having led or participated in a plethora of projects, and engaged in discussion threads. Ridley provided good insight as a seasoned veteran. A huge thank you to both for their contributions, and we wish them the best of luck! For the time being, we have decided to keep the council to 7 people so there will be no new council promotions as of now.
