Project UnderUsed Teambuilding Lab V3

Hi, I'm a longtime OU/OMs player but since my friends play lower tiers I wanted to try getting into UU, especially since some of my favorite Pokemon seem to live here. I did try some teambuilding of my own but I wasn't satisfied with anything I could come up with, each build felt like it had some glaring holes so I would really appreciate some kind of direction from people that actually know this tier.

I primarily would love to build around these two:

Haxorus @ Dragonium Z
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Poison Jab
- Dragon Dance / Swords Dance

Primarina @ Choice Specs
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 SpA / not sure what HP / Spe split is best
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Hydro Pump
- Sparkling Aria / Scald
- Psychic / Ice Beam / Energy Ball / idk what else

Generally I tend to gravitate towards Bulky Offense or some kind of variant, I like having good pivots while still being able to threaten the opponent and outplay (or VoltTurn) so I can get in my big breakers and/or sweepers and start cleaning house. Balance builds are okay with me too as long as they're not too passive, and I've started to avoid Hyper Offense more as I've gotten better to deal with more kinds of opposing teams.

Any help here is very welcome!

Infernape @ Fightinium Z
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Fire Blast
- Focus Blast
- Vacuum Wave

Krookodile @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Earthquake
- Pursuit
- Stone Edge

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Air Slash
- Thunder Wave
- Roost
- Nasty Plot

Gengar @ Custap Berry
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Endure
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Bomb
- Focus Blast

Cobalion @ Figy Berry
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Stealth Rock
- Volt Switch

Blastoise-Mega @ Blastoisinite
Ability: Rain Dish
EVs: 104 HP / 252 SpA / 152 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Ice Beam
- Dark Pulse
- Aura Sphere
- Rapid Spin

I started with the requested core of NP Infernape + Choice Scarf Krookodile. I decided to add Thunder Wave Togekiss because it is a Dragon-type check that can slow down faster threats like Latias and Mega Aerodactyl for Infernape. I decided to add Gengar after that because it absorbs Toxic Spikes and because it can weaken checks to Infernape like Tentacruel, as well as more offensive teams in general. Custap Berry + Endure is a cool tech I innovated and it is pretty straightforward - just click Endure against faster threats that OHKO you like Krookodile and Hydreigon and then nuke them with Focus Blast. Cobalion gives the team Stealth Rock and more Scizor countermeasures. It also helps to weaken Tentacruel with Volt Switch into Choice Scarf Krookodile's Pursuit. Lastly, I wanted an offensive Water-type that gets Rapid Spin so I decided on Mega Blastoise because it also breaks walls for Infernape to sweep.

Hi! Its been quite a while since Ive played UU and I can only imagine how much Ive missed, thought the best idea was to hop on here and ask for some help since the last team that I requested (like 4 metas ago) was great!

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Heal Bell / Thunder Wave
- Air Slash
- Roost

Togekiss @ Babiri Berry / Fightinium Z
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Air Slash
- Flamethrower / Aura Sphere
- Roost

Im interested in getting a build with Toge. Wish I had a more accurate description of what it is what I want but either of these sets will do. Im mostly familiar with bulky offense and offense, so just something that can help me catch up w the current meta and that has some of those playstyle elements! Thank you so much to whoever takes on this task!

Aggron @ Aggronite

I chose to pair standard NP Heal Bell Togekiss with Electrium Latias since Latias can easily remove Empoleon as well as other Flying-resists with Draco Meteor. Mega Aggron + Scarf Krookodile is a rather basic core and together provide an electric-type immunity, hazards, speed control, etc. Choice Band Bewear is an underrated breaker and brings the immediate power that the team needs while making opposing Dark-type moves less spammable. Tentacruel helps with hazard removal, dealing with Scizor, and can hit Rotom-H before it volt switches. Head Smash on Aggron is a neat lure to remove Rotom-H entirely on a switch or using Defog, and Fire Punch can hit Scizor much harder, but Earthquake and Roar are both viable options as well. Hope you enjoy the squad KellyKafka owo

Yo Scizorphobic, ty so much for the team! Very excited to try it out! You dont even get a :haha: for this one <3

Hey, is this still active? Cuz I bear a new request once again.

Ever since the Mimikyu drop, I have tried to experiment with it but I couldn't get my teams to get enough support. Noticing how popular screens have become, I am requesting a dual screens HO team that has Mimikyu in it, since it can get tremendous defensive utility with Disguise and screens to set up.
Mimikyu @ Ghostium Z / Mimikium Z
Ability: Disguise
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly / Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Play Rough
- Shadow Claw
- Shadow Sneak / whatever filler

Well, first Ty for the help, Im gonna post a core that I would like to run on a team
Choice Band Scizor
1200px-Scizor.png

Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Pursuit
- Superpower
Choice Scarf Nihilego

Nihilego @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Power Gem
- Sludge Wave
- Grass Knot
- Thunderbolt
Scizor invites some Flying and fire Switch in like Moltres or Rotom-H, and is able to use U-turn on his checks and let Nihilego on a good position, also Scizor can check non Z Thunder/Hp Fire Latias, CB Scizor with Superpower can also deal with other steel types that are annoying for Nihilego.I would like to run the core on an Offense or Balance team. :psyglad:

Requesting a team around Dragon Dance Feraligatr
Feraligatr @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Liquidation
- Ice Punch
- Superpower

Feel free to make edits to the set as you deem necessary.

Hey Luirromen I have your request finished! The team was moreso around SD Crawdaunt but your requested mons Scarf Nihi and CB Sciz still do well. SD Crawdaunt and 3 attack Roost Altaria provided a strong mu against bulkier teams immediately. Cobalion is just a reliable Rocker and can keep them up with Taunt. Rocky Helmet also lets it annoy opposing Scizor. Gligar is the hazard removal and can pivot Malt or Daunt in to fuck shit up. Nihilego is consistent speed control and can be dangerous late game with beast boost + power gem. Choice Band Scizor can U-turn around with Gligar and is running 8 more speed than standard CB to U-turn out or kill first with Superpower. Dual Priority between Scizor and Daunt is nifty in general, hope you enjoy the squad!

Yo Demon Dragon your Mmq team is finished! Unforunately, Screens is not as good as it seems with Mmq since regardless of whether screens are up or not, any hit will break Mmq's disguise and its natural bulk is rather mediocre. Though, it does function great on a more traditional spike stack offense! After Screens fell flat I went with the basic Froslass + Krook for hazard and added Shark to abuse them. And from there I just added the other two broken mons. Latias can pressure fat with LO Psyshock and can kill unsuspecting Scizor with Hp Fire. SD Fightinum Scizor further improves the mu against opposing Scizor and with QA threatens mon like Rotom-H. Sorry again it isn't Screens but hope you have fun with it anyway!

Hey Mr Spaz, I got your team here! I decided to tweak the given set a bit, opting for Crunch > Superpower. Things that Superpower hits don't like taking a +1 Liquidation or Crunch. The latter also has decent neutral coverage and, more importantly, hits Slowbro, which would otherwise wall Feraligatr. Altaria was added as a partner to check scarfers that can revenge Feraligatr, such as Hydreigon, Latias, and Krookodile. Nihilego gives great role compression as a counter to Moltres and Togekiss, as well as a mandatory rocker. Rotom-Mow is a much-needed Ground immunity, hazard remover, and Scizor check with Electrium Z. Psychium Z is also another option if you're worried about Amoonguss. Scarf Krookodile is an excellent glue mon, providing a Electric immunity, Latias check, and Pursuit. Doublade, my last member, checks common threats that would normally be an issue for this type of team such as Mega Aerodactyl, opposing Dragon Dance Mega Altaria, Cobalion, and non-Knock Off Scizor. Toxic is chosen over Shadow Claw to lure in bulky waters and severely cripple them to help Feraligatr sweep late-game. I hope that you enjoy the team and thanks for the request, it was really fun to build! even though every gatr team I see is basically screens

Okay, hopefully this doesn't fall into the unviable category, but it's something I've seen good players use in major tours so I'm curious to try it myself.

Articuno @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 4 Def / 160 SpD / 96 Spe
Calm Nature
- Defog
- Heal Bell
- Freeze-Dry
- Roost

I'd like to request a team with Articuno, personal favorite legendary bird and owner of a small niche in UU. I'll be honest, I'm not super sure what this brings to the table besides a somewhat speedy Defogger and cleric. What are some mons who'd appreciate Articuno support? That's what I'd like a builder to help me with!

Bulky offense or semi-stall with this one, if possible. I've never played pure stall at all before but if that's how it shakes out, I'll give it a shot.

Thanks! :psyglad:

Good I come again in these parts The previous Team I like but I come to ask a Team with my two favorite Pokemon that are curiously in this tier Which are Infernape and Gligar

1. It's not the right place to fix a team.
2. Your team isn't a UU team at all.
3. Your team make no sense.

Yo, we appreciate the effort and enthusiasm but only approved builders are supposed to post teams for the clients, so refrain from doing this in the future. The team looks pretty cool but maybe a little Scizor weak, very cool. Again thanks for your enthusiasm :).

Didnt know that at all ahah, no prob viv

Hello again! I would like to request a balance or bulky offense team with a core of rhyperior and scizor

Rhyperior @ Leftovers
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Atk / 240 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance/Toxic
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Stealth Rock

Scizor @ Buginium Z
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 16 Atk / 144 Def / 96 SpD / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Swords Dance
- Roost

Rhyperior deals with the fires that trouble Scizor easily due to its good typing and bulk allowing Scizor to sweep easier. Rhyperior's access to EQ means that it could deal massive damage to the different steels that plague the tier as well that Scizor appreciates. In turn, scizor helps Rhyperior deal with the grass types in the tier and pivots rhyperior easily if the enemy decides to switch to a fire type. Buginium Z of course so it could handle amoonguss' roaming around the tier. I have Swords Dance as a second choice for rhyperior so it could pressure gligar rather that being walled by it and setting up swords dance also deals massive damage to hippowdon at +2. I also want to try a different rocker other than swampert and I think rhyperior is a good choice if I want a non passive rocker.

Aerodactyl-Mega @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Hone Claws
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Aqua Tail

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Slack Off
- Toxic

Requesting a team built around these two pokemon. Sand Stream allows M-Aero more opportunities to set up Hone Claws and provides chip to wear pokemon down.

hey Mygrein I got your team ready! I honestly fucking hate Vincune when building because it's the win con and not able to do more than that without potentially jeopardizing it late game. But Vincune + Toxic Spikes is still a great combo so I hope you enjoy the squad. Nidoqueen providing the Toxic Spikes meant I did not have to search for an electric-immunity which is always nice. I added Infernape for a way to nuke Amoonguss right off the bat or annoy the other team with U-turn. Choice Scarf Hydreigon forms a U-turn core with Ape and is consistent speed control. Stealth Rock Aero provides a Flying-resist, can revenge shit without getting locked, and is another ground-immunity to cover Ape+Queen+inevitable steel. Doublade covers Scizor to a certain extent, can trap Latias + some with Pursuit, and has enough defensive utility to let me run Offensive Nidoqueen and give less opportunities for opponents to set up/clear hazards. Offensive Nidoqueen can actually threaten Latias unlike Defensive too and basically means you don't have to make as many doubles.

With buginium Z Scizor, Mega Altaria has easy to slap on since Scizor could lure Amoonguss and make it easier for Malt to clean late game. Tentacruel serves as hazard removal and is bulkier for mons like Cobalion and Luke. Scarf Hydreigon is speed control yet again since Scizor's Bullet Punch unboosted is not that great. LO Mixed Infernape fit the funky last slot of a wallbreaker that can threaten stall builds but also serve as a Scizor check if needed. Have fun w it :]!
