Welcome to the first edition of Ubers Winter Tour, an all-Ubers team tournament where managers draft from the pool of players to compete in a five-week round-robin battle for Ubers supremacy. Additionally, each week, managers can decide to boost one slot, making the slot effective for 2 wins (and if both teams boost the same slot, it's worth 3 wins). The two teams with the most wins will then advance to the finals.

Hello everyone, this year your hosts are MrAldo and myself.

Here's a few things to remember:
- A replay / log must be saved of your match or it will be considered invalid. No exceptions.
- General tournament rules and regulations apply. Pokemon Showdown is the default simulator for all metagames unless both parties agree. If you play on anywhere that isn't PS! you must save a log of the match. All matches are best of one, except for the best of three and the RBY slots.
- Underlined matches will be counted as single boosted slots which count for 2 wins, Bolded and underlined matches will be counted as double boosted slots which count for 3 wins, with a * indicating which players were boosted.

After today's games and with the updates after last week, the point totals are as follows:

There's a lot of factors at play so I may make mistakes when calculating these, if you see any message me on discord and I can change it, but here are each team's playoff road

Qwilfish Qwillas

If the Qwilfish Qwillas get 6 points or more:

• They make playoffs

If the Qwilfish Qwillas get 5 points:

• They will at worst tiebreak with the InSomnia Giratinas for playoffs, but if the score of the Luminous Lunalas vs Funky Frost Monkeys is 7-5, 8-4, or 9-3 in favour of the Funky Frost Monkeys, they are in playoffs

If the Qwilfish Qwillas get 4 points:

• The InSomnia Giratinas will be locked into playoffs, requiring a score of 7-5 in favour of the Funky Frost Monkeys to tiebreak, or 8-4 in favour of the Funky Frost Monkeys to make playoffs. A 9-3 win for the Funky Frost Monkeys will tiebreak, and any more will put them out of playoffs

If the Qwilfish Qwillas get 3 points:

• The Funky Frost Monkeys must win 8-4, forcing a 3-way 31 point tiebreak

If the Qwilfish Qwillas get 2 points or less:

• They cannot make playoffs

Luminous Lunalas

If the Luminous Lunalas get 7 points or more:

• They are in playoffs

If the Luminous Lunalas get 6 points:

• They are in playoffs unless the InSomnia Giratinas and the Qwilfish Qwillas end with a score of 7-5 in favour of the giratinas, in which case it is a tiebreak at 33 points

If the Luminous Lunalas get 5 points:

• The Qwilfish Qwillas must win against the InSomnia Giratinas by any score, or the InSomnia Giratinas must win 8-4 to tiebreak with Lunalas and Qwillas at 32, 9-3 or more to guarantee playoffs for the Lunalas.

If the Luminous Lunalas get 4 points:

• They will tiebreak with the Funky Frost Monkeys if the Qwilfish Qwillas lose 2-10 or worse, 3-9 or worse to include the Qwillas in that tiebreak, or if the Qwilfish Qwillas win 8-4 or more, 7-5 to include the InSomnia Giratinas in that tiebreak

If the Luminous Lunalas get 3 points or less:

• They cannot make playoffs

InSomnia Giratinas

If the InSomnia Giratinas get 8 points or more:

• They are in playoffs

If the InSomnia Giratinas get 7 points:

• They are at worst tiebreaking with the Qwilfish Qwillas at 33 points, but are guaranteed in playoffs if the Funky Frost Monkeys beat the Luminous Lunalas by a score between 7-5 and 9-3

If the InSomnia Giratinas get 6 points:

• They are in playoffs if the Funky Frost Monkeys beat the Luminous Lunalas with a score of 8-4, and a 9-3 or 7-5 in favour of the Funky Frost Monkeys will force a tiebreak at 32 points with either team

If the InSomnia Giratinas get 5 points:

• They Funky Frost Monkeys must beat the Luminous Lunalas by a score of 8-4 to force a 31 point tiebreak

If the InSomnia Giratinas get 4 points or less:

• They cannot make playoffs

Funky Frost Monkeys

If the Funky Frost Monkeys get 11 points:

• They are in playoffs

If the Funky Frost Monkeys get 10 points:

• They are in playoffs unless the InSomnia Giratinas beat the Qwilfish Qwillas 7-5, in which case it is a tiebreak at 33 points

If the Funky Frost Monkeys get 9 points:

• The InSomnia Giratinas must beat the Qwilfish Qwillas by a score of 9-3 or more, or the Qwilfish Qwillas have to win by a score of 7-5 or more. 1 less win will force a tiebreak at 32 points in both scenarios, any more between both teams winning means they cannot make playoffs

If the Funky Frost Monkeys get 8 points:

• The InSomnia Giratinas must win by a score of 10-2 or more, or the Qwilfish Qwillas must win by a score of 8-4 or more to tiebreak at 31 points with just the Luminous Lunalas. A 9-3 win for the Giratinas or a 7-5 win for the Qwillas forces a tiebreak with an additional team

If the Funky Frost Monkeys get 7 points or less:

• They cannot make playoffs

Litwicks + Zacian Waifus

One of these teams can make playoffs if:

• They win 11-1 (litwicks) or 12-0 (Zacian Waifus)
• The Funky Frost Monkeys win by a score of exactly 8-4 vs the Luminous Lunalas
• Either the Qwilfish Qwillas win 8-4 or more or the InSomnia Giratinas win by 10-2 or more.
• This will result in a tiebreak between the winning team, the Luminous Lunalas, and the Funky Frost Monkeys 100% of the time
• If the Qwilfish Qwillas win 7-5 or the InSomnia Giratinas win by 9-3, it will result in a 4 team tiebreak. The InSomnia Giratinas or the Qwilfish Qwillas will be added to those original 3 teams in each respective case
• Anything else results in neither team making playoffs

A fair few of these situations labeled as "tiebreaks" may change depending on if tiebreaks are a week of playing or just head to head, but I assumed playing and went with that.

Somewhat interestingly, if this tour were done in a UPL format, there would only be 3 teams vying for finals.

Instead, no matter how unlikely it is, we could potentially have a 4 way tiebreaker for 2nd place, and every team has a mathematical chance of making it in. Definitely a much more dynamic ending to the season overall, most especially for the Monkeys, who wouldnt be able to make playoffs in a weeks format but have good odds of at least a tiebreak if they can win their week this time.
