New Abilities:
Bite-size: Food-type moves always hit three times, but each hit only deals 1/3 damage. (Sub/Sash/Sturdy breaker)
Honey-glaze: If a Bug-type move is used against a Pokemon weak to Food-type, the Bug-type move will do super-effective damage. (possibly overpowered, but meant to be Vespiquen's signature ability, and Vespiquen is pretty bad)
Low Carb: Takes 33% more damage from Ice, Fire and Food-type moves, but has doubled Speed.

Alterations to Existing Abilities:
Sweet Veil: Lowers the foes' evasion by two stages and prevents them from falling asleep, unless they are Food-type Pokemon. (basically gaining the Sweet Scent effect)

Bite-size: Food-type moves always hit three times, but each hit only deals 1/3 damage. (Sub/Sash/Sturdy breaker)
Just as significantly, this ability as described also has a Serene Grace-style effect, greatly increasing the chances of secondary effects triggering. Whether or not this makes it over-the-top kind of depends on what Food-type moves we end up getting - any moves like Scald or Iron Head, with a 30% chance to activate a secondary effect, become very good with this ability, and Flame Charge analogues which always raise a stat are flat-out busted.

Additionally, what about Seismic Toss and friends? Is it like Parental Bond where it always hits for full damage?

Bite Size luckily doesn't actually make attacks more powerful, but moves with secondary effects and fixed damage attacks gain a MASSIVE buff. On the flip side, stat dropping moves are very very bad with this ability (Draco Meteor for example is around 50% weaker overall).

So, we're gonna do the votes, obviously without the moves (that's why it's called 1/2). Here we go!

Sugar Rush: On every odd turn, the user gains +2 stages in Speed. On every even turn, the user gains -2 stages in Speed. Before applying the stat
change, the user's Speed stat changes will be reset first. (Sugar rushes will make you hyper then super tired afterwards)

Starvation: When the user is hit by a Food-type move, the user will take no damage and gains 50% HP. (Water Absorb/Volt Absorb/whatever else there is clone)

Food Poisoning: The user's Food-type moves all have a 30% chance of poisoning the target. (I don't think this one needs too much explaining)

Well Done: If the user is hit by a Fire-type move, the user will gain +1 stage in Defense and Special Defense and will take no damage. (Well done meat such as steak is really hard, so its durability is higher I guess lol, also who eats steak well done lmao)

Exotic: The user's moves that aren't the same type as the user do 30% more damage. Moves that are the same type as the user do 50% less damage. (When you try exotic foods it's often that you're trying something new, so you're trying something new in giving the STAB boost too "exotic" moves instead of the moves of the same type as the user) Edit: Nerfed the 50% more damage to 30% as it might easily get out of hand.

Thick Fat: Now will reduce damage from Food-type moves along with Fire-type and Ice-type moves, but damage reduction is now 33% instead of 50%. (Kind of obvious, but the reduce damage nerf is to balance it out)
Insatiable: This pokemon is immune to Food-type attacks. When hit by one, its Food-type attacks become stronger.
Strong Stomach: This pokemon takes 50% from Poison- and Food-type moves.
Sampler: When this pokemon lands a biting or draining move, it gains a 50% bonus to biting and draining moves against enemies who share a type with the defending pokemon. Upon activating, it will say "[pokemon] has acquired a taste for [type] types!". The effect ends upon switching out.
Burnt Ends: This pokemon regains 1/6 of its HP at the end of each turn if it is burned.
Irresistible: This pokemon's SpD is increased by 50% but it takes double damage from biting and draining moves.
Gourmandize
Function(s)
: Turn Normal-type moves into Food-type and their power are boosted by 20%.
Intended Use(s): A standard -ize Ability with a classy name (the French words "gourmandise".)

Berry Lover
Function(s)
: Consuming a Berry will give a boost to the user's higher Attack or Special Attack by 1 stage.
Intended Use(s): Encourage use of Sitrus Berry and other consumable berries that don't see much uses.
Food Coma: this Pokemon heals 1/16 HP per turn whilst asleep.
Draining Jaw: all biting attacks used by this Pokemon heal 50% of damage dealt.
Forager: when this Pokemon uses a contact move, it will steal and consume an opponent's held berry.
Scavenger: when this Pokemon knocks out an opponent, it restores 25% HP.
Fitness Diet: when hit by a Food-type move, this Pokemon takes no damage and its Attack increases by one stage.
Chocolate: Standard -ate/ize ability.
Hyper Berry: Raises Speed by 1 stage when a berry is consumed.
Nourishment: Raises Attack & Sp. Attack by 1 stage when a berry is consumed.
Famine: Heals the user by 1/4 Max HP when hit with a Food-type move

Honey Gather: If it holds Honey, heals for 1/8 HP every turn.
Food Gem: Standard [Type] Gem.

Foodium Z: Standard Z-Crystal. (The name is so funny to me lol)

Hunger Plate/Food Memory: Standard Plate/Memory.

Second Serving: When hit by a Food-type move, the user uses the move back onto the opponent. Consumed, but can be recovered. (Kind of going for a Mirror Move type item here, thought it would be cool)

Food Basket: When equipped on a Food-type user, grants the user 1/16th HP each turn. (A crappy Leftovers clone? You'll see why in a second)
Leftovers: Retains original effect. When equipped on a Food-type user, gains 1/8th HP each turn. After five turns, the item is removed. Does not include turns when the user is at full HP. (I couldn't resist not giving Leftovers a Food-type exclusive niche, and I think it can be cool, too)
Honey: Food-Type Silk Scarf

Stats: 77 / 115 / 80 / 58 / 87 / 85 ( +25 to all stats, except SpA )

Farfetch'd is based on a Japanese saying that is something along the lines of "a duck appears bearing green onions". The significance is that duck is often cooked with green onions in Japan, so it's used as a metaphor for events that are surprising yet convenient. Farfetch'd being a duck holding green onions thus essentially represents an easy meal, hence the Food type.

Miltank produces milk, and is a domesticated farm animal that feeds millions. Pretty simple.

I wouldn't just make any mushroom a food type, but Shiinotic is based on a shiitake, which is one of the most popular edible mushrooms. Food / Light may seem like an awkward type but its coloration is actually great for it.
Pokemon Modifcations:

Combee and Vespiquen
->

Vespiquen stats: 70 / 80 / 102 / 80 / 102 / 40 | BST: 474 -> 80 / 90 / 112 / 90 / 112 / 50 | BST: 534 (+10 to all stats)
Based on honeybees.

Teddiursa and Ursaring
->

Also honey, Ursaring’s Pokedex states it never fails to find food, which it searches for every day.

Rattata and Raticate (Alola)
->

Raticate-Alola stats: 75 / 71 / 70 / 40 / 80 / 77 | BST: 413 -> 95 / 81 / 90 / 50 / 100 / 87 | BST: 493 (+20 HP, Def, SpD, +10 to Atk, SpA, Spe)
Raticate stats to fix discrepancy: 55 / 81 / 60 / 50 / 70 / 97 | BST: 413 -> 65 / 101 / 70 / 70 / 80 / 117 | BST: 493 (+20 Atk, SpA, Spe, +10 Hp, Def, SpD)
They have Gluttony and Thick Fat, plus Raticate-Alola is quite chubby.

Wailmer and Wailord
->

They’re whales that have huge mouths and huge appetites.

Makuhita and Hariyama
->

Sumo wrestlers eat a lot of food to build their bodies, plus both of them have Thick Fat. maybe Noble/Food if Noble-type wins

Tropius
->

While Grass/Food might make more sense flavorwise, Food/Flying gives it a more unique niche because there are several other suggested Grass/Food types already.

Swirlix and Slurpuff
->

Similar to the reasoning I gave with Tropius, Fairy/Food makes them more unique.
=> Ghost / Food

Makuhita and Hariyama
->

Base Stats (Hariyama): 144 HP / 120 Atk / 75 Def / 40 / 90 SpD / 50 Spe
Intended Buff: Allows Hariyama to take advantage of its high HP with better Special Defense and slightly better Defense.

Wailmer and Wailord
->

Base Stats (Wailord): 170 HP / 110 Atk / 80 Def / 90 SpA / 50 SpD / 60 Spe
Intended Buff: Help Wailord to become more useful Trick Room Offensive member with better Attack and a bit more tolerable Defense.

Tropius
->

Base Stats: 99 HP / 113 Atk / 83 Def / 102 SpA / 92 SpD / 51 Spe
Intended Buff: Allows Tropius to use its Abilities better, especially Solar Power (if it keeps it).

->

Gulpin and Swalot
Base Stats (Swalot): 100 HP / 113 Atk / 83 Def / 113 SpA / 83 SpD / 55 Spe
Intended Buff: Another potential useful member of a Trick Room team. Swalot lacked Recover or other viable recovery moves, so it stats focuses on its unorthodox (even for a Poison-type) move learnset while being able to abuse Curse, especially useful in such Trick Room team, and have its own Earthquake and Fire Punch to penetrate Steel-types. Glutonny and a potential new Food move will help it recover.

I think the smaller voting pools has proven to be a success, as more than double of the usual number of voters have voted! A big thanks to everyone!

And now, the moment you were all waiting for... here are the winners!

The winning matchup is scoopapa's! Congrats!
Technically, since Gojiratar and AquaticPanic only voted for one ability, only Chocolate and Nourishment would have won, so I decided to include the ones that would have won if they haven't voted.

PsuedoRidge's Nourishment
PsuedoRidge's Chocolate
Estronic's Starvation
Estronic's Food Poisoning
scoopapa's Strong Stomach
Honey is the silk scarf clone.

No modified Leftovers nor Second Serving, sadly...
By the way, the ones with an asterisk (*) are the one that I'm voting for that wouldn't have won otherwise.

By Ninetales Dragon:
Lickytung's line
Munchlax's line
Cherubi's line (excluding sunshine)
Vanilite's line
Bounsweet's line
Guzzlord
Passimian*

By DatHeatmor:
Happiny's line*
Shuckle
Exeggcute's line

By scoopapa:
Farfetch'd
Milktank
Shiinotic

By Origin0:
Combee's line
Teddiursa's line*
Swirlix's line

By Gravity Monkey:
Pumpkaboo's line

By Samtendo09:
Makuhita's line*
Tropius
Gulpin's line

Next phase starting by tomorrow (hopefully). Additionally, we're going to vote on whether or not we are going to include AquaticPanic's Honey Gather, since his modified honey won.
