Movies
#Saburo
Film: Son of Rambow (2007)
Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy
IMDb Synopsis: During a long English summer in the early 1980s, two schoolboys from differing backgrounds set out to make a film inspired by First Blood (1982).
#Soft Flex
Film: Creed III
Genre: Drama, Sport
Description: In Michael B. Jordan's directorial debut, he managed to not only helm a worthy sequel to the Rocky franchise, but rebound after what I considered a so-so sequel in Creed II, as well as bring a new energy to the series that was much-needed. Due to conflicts behind the scenes with rights and whatnot (to no fault of MBJ from what I understand), Rocky actually does not appear in the film, but that doesn't stop the movie from feeling connected. Johnathan Majors is a force of an actor in his portrayal of Damian Anderson. It was refreshing to see a fresh and multi-layered antagonist not derivative of a recurring character and had my theatre not kicked it out after 2 weeks I'd have tried to catch in on the big screen a 2nd time.
@ The Benz Mafia
Film: Vera Drake (2004)
Genre: Crime, Drama
IMDb Synopsis: Abortionist Vera Drake finds her beliefs and practices clash with the mores of 1950s Britain--a conflict that leads to tragedy for her family.
