[SET COMMENTS]
Torkoal is the premier sun setter on Fire teams; it pairs well with Pokemon like Cinderace, Blacephalon, and Victini. It provides immense utility due to it having both Stealth Rock and Rapid Spin, the latter of which especially benefits its Fire-type teammates. Yawn deters setup sweepers such as Dragonite while also forcing out Water-types like Urshifu-R, which can let Torkoal get off a crucial last-second Rapid Spin. Lava Plume can be used over Yawn to burn opposing physical attackers. Body Press takes advantage of Torkoal's high Defense stat and hits foes such as Tyranitar and Heatran super effectively.

All Fire-types appreciate Torkoal setting sun and removing entry hazards. For example, Cinderace's Pyro Ball OHKOes Nidoking under sun. Volcarona can take advantage of sun effectively while also aiding against Water and Psychic teams. It is especially effective against the former, notably beating Toxapex if it is carrying Psychic. Mixed-attacking Victini helps against Ground and Dragon teams, with Glaciate + Energy Ball making it very uncomfortable to switch into. Also, Choice Band Victini's V-create becomes a nuke under sun, 2HKOing Mantine. Choice Scarf Blacephalon provides a fast attacker that also takes advantage of sun. Volcanion provides a Water immunity and a temporary Ground immunity with Air Balloon, which is very useful against Water and Ground teams. Heatran is a great partner for Torkoal, as Heatran can fit Flash Cannon to threaten Fairy and Rock teams because Torkoal sets Stealth Rock instead. Furthermore, Toxapex becomes easier to trap, as it does less damage under sun. Moltres provides a more reliable Ground immunity than Air Balloon Volcanion while also providing Defog support and pivoting with U-turn. Incineroar switches into special attackers better under sun, which weakens Water-type attacks from threats such as Volcanion, Toxapex, and Rotom-W. It also helps the team deal with Ghost-types such as Dragapult and Spectrier.

Rest is an option over Yawn on Torkoal to increase its longevity, but it makes Torkoal setup fodder for Pokemon like Substitute Dragapult. Will-O-Wisp is also an option over Yawn or Lava Plume, giving Torkoal a better chance to burn Pokemon like Dragonite than Lava Plume. Heavy-Duty Boots over Heat Rock makes Torkoal immune to Stealth Rock, but this cuts into sun's duration and thus isn't that good.

- The premier Sun setter on Fire, Torkoal is a fantastic teammate for many Fire-types such as Cinderace, Blacephalon, and Victini.
- It provides immense utility to teams due to its access to both Stealth Rock and Rapid Spin, the latter of which is especially valuable to its teammates.
- Yawn deters setup sweepers such as Dragapult (it has substitute, so a better example would be better. Debatably, I'd think Lava Plume/Will-o-Wisp may be better than Yawn but I'd rather but W-o-W as OO, and Lava Plume as slash w/ Yawn), while also forcing foes out which is crucial for Torkoal to be able to fire off a last-second Rapid Spin.
- Body Press takes advantage of Torkoal's high defence Defense stat to hit foes such as Tyranitar and Heatran super-effectively.
- The given EV spread allows Torkoal to be as bulky as possible while also increasing Body Press' power.

- All Fire-types appreciate Torkoal's ability to to set Sun and remove entry hazards, especially Stealth Rock.
- While not a direct beneficiary of Torkoal's ability to remove hazards, Cinderace pairs well with not only Torkoal, but other Pokemon that pair well with it such as Air Balloon Volcanion. (it boosts Pyro Ball and reduces damage vs Waters which allows Cindy to Bulk up a little easier)
- Speaking of Volcanion, it provides a Water immunity as well as a temporary Ground immunity, which is very useful against particular types such as Water and Steel. (ngl I dont think Volc and Koal are ran together, due to Koal dampening Steam Eruption)
- Mixed Victini also helps against Ground, with the combination of Glaciate and Energy Ball being very uncomfortable to switch into. In addition, Victini becomes a nuke under Sun, with V-Create becoming a huge wallbreaking force that can 2HKO Galarian Weezing.! (le exclamation. Galarian Weezing isnt a problem for fire teams though, maybe Bandtini obliterating Mantine/Pex would be better?) Volcarona is able to abuse sun effectively while also aiding against Water- and Psychic-type teams. It is especially effective against the former, notably being able to defeat Toxapex if it is carrying Psychic.
- Capable of providing speed control, Blacephalon is another good sun abuser. [If there's notable calcs of it roasting something on sun, add them]
*Add Heatran, Moltres, Incineroar [somewhat of a defensive sponge]

Rest is an option over Body Press or Rapid Spin on Torkoal to increase it's longevity, but it comes at the cost of either rendering Torkoal useless against Heatran or having its utility cut by not running Rapid Spin. (you dont swap out Body Press, it would be Yawn if ever)
*Heavy Duty Boots as Item over Heat Rock
*Will-o-wisp/Lava Plume over Yawn

*Trapper Heatran can do its job better as Sun dampens Toxapex's Scald
*Moltres provides Defog support and pivots Torkoal in because U-turn
*Incin helps with pult and deals with Ghosts like spectrier and pult which are iffy for Koal

The given EV spread allows Torkoal to be as bulky as possible while also increasing Body Press' power. (not really a fan of explaining spreads that are just p much dex info, people reading this likely know bpress does damage based on defense and otherwise this is just a normal max max spread, can leave it if you want but thats just my two cents)

All Fire-types appreciate Torkoal's ability to to set Sun and remove entry hazards, especially Stealth Rock (spikes are just as annoying so i dont see why rocks in particular are mentioned, i suppose spikes are less common but regardless). While not a direct beneficiary of Torkoal's ability to remove hazards, Cinderace pairs well with Torkoal because the effects of Sun allows it to setup easier against Water-types (with what). It also pairs well with other beneficiaries of Sun such as Air Balloon Volcanion. Volcarona is able to take advantage of sun effectively while also aiding against Water- and Psychic-type teams. Torkoal's sun also allows Incineroar to do its job better (what job? this sentence seems super sudden and random, id start it out by saying Incineroar is capable of defensively switching into xyz thanks to torkoals ability to set sun, softening water attacks or w.e), as it can switch into Toxapex's Scald and Rotom-W's Hydro Pump easier. It also helps the team deal with Ghost-types such as Dragapult and Spectrier., both of which can often beat Torkoal.

Cinderace pairs well with Torkoal because the effects of Sun allows it to setup easier against Water-types with Bulk Up. (Does this make sense at all? You are changing type with Bulk Up so it's not like you will be weak to water mons while for Rain you still get Sun replaced while Urshifu Crits you regardless and Azu beats you asw so i don't feel it is that relevant, I would probably just say that sun boosts Pyro Ball so that Ace can fe. OHKO Nido or 2HKO Hippo) Volcarona is able to take advantage of sun effectively while also aiding against Water- and Psychic-type teams. It is especially effective against the former, notably being able to defeat Toxapex if it is carrying Psychic.
