Thundurus is one of the only strong physical attackers with a decent movepool available to Electric teams, making it a much-needed addition for several key matchups. Superpower is key for the Normal matchup, as it enables Thundurus to eliminate Chansey, which otherwise walls the entirety of most Electric-type teams. Knock Off further aids in the Normal matchup by removing Eviolite from both Chansey and Porygon2, while also immensely threatening Psychic teams, another tricky matchup for Electric. U-turn is an extremely useful tool in keeping momentum for Thundurus and its teammates, while further strengthening the team's offensive presence against Psychic. It also provides excellent chip damage and enables VoltTurn antics with teammates such as Tapu Koko and Rotom-W. Finally, Iron Tail is one of many coverage options for Thundurus, most notably outspeeding and KOing Mega Diancie. Utilizing Thundurus as a physical wallbreaker and pivot helps enable potent teammates like Alolan Raichu and Tapu Koko to more readily sweep late-game, and it is definitely a Pokemon to consider!
