Why doesn't Pory-Z's Mega get any buffs compared to base Pory-Z in the first post? JW.

Hey, I'm trying to use Aegislash on a team for the Tournament, but the teambuilder is telling me that it is invalid, even with justified as it's ability. I assume that hasn't been updated yet.

GRAND UPDATE!
Welcome to the first big update of The Pokedex According to Spook! A ton of things have been taken into account with the tournament results, and proper nerfs/buffs have been put in place! This post will be going in segments, so it goes Typing Changes -> Effectiveness Changes -> Ability Changes -> Item Additions -> Move Additions -> Form Additions -> Other Changes. so without further ado...

As a result of our Discord poll, We'll introduce our first new type!

SOUND
Sound is a type that will consist of either Pokemon who can manipulate sound waves, such as having a powerful voice, being able to create strong sound waves, or Pokemon with enhanced hearing abilities. This is the list of Pokemon that are now Sound-type.

Now, Sound has a special property. Ever heard of the phrase "all Squares are Rectangles but not all Rectangles are Squares"? Well, the same works for Sound-BASED moves and Sound-TYPED moves. not all Sound-based moves are Sound-type. take Bug Buzz, for example. It's still sound based, but it remains Bug-type.

Here's a list of moves that change to become Sound type.

Boomburst
Chatter
Echoed Voice
Growl
Heal Bell
Hyper Voice
Noble Roar
Perish Song
Relic Song
Roar
Round
Sing
Supersonic

There will be Physical Sound-type moves in a future update.

New Stats: 100/75/75/75/75/75

Overcast now gives Dark-type Pokemon a 1.25 Defense / Special Defense boost, instead of a Power-up.

And that ends all the new changes, The Weekly Chime will also be resuming starting tomorrow! Thats all for today!

What hath Kyogre to do with Sound?

also when you do make a physical sound move at least one of them needs to have "axe" in the name

I got some name ideas for the Physical Sound-type moves.
  • Axe Note (90 BP, 100 Acc, 10% chance of lowering Target's Defense by 1 stage, non-contact.)
  • Rhythm Beat-Up (120 BP, 100 Acc, lower user's Defense and Special Defense by 1 stage.)
  • Tremor Drum (70 BP, 100 Acc, power doubles on target with stage-based increased Speed, non-contact.)
  • Cymbal Slam (80 BP, 100 Acc, 30% chance to inflict -1 Speed on target.)
  • Booming Rush (120 BP, 85 Acc, 10% chance to lower target's Attack by 1 stage.)

252 SpA Noivern Boomburst vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Toxapex: 105-124 (34.5 - 40.7%) -- 54.7% chance to 3HKO after Black Sludge recovery

it aint that bad really, especially when its stab combo is resisted by steel

Give that puppy some Choice Specs and go to town chipping whatever it hits, even resists. Your AV Mage can only last so long

I mean in the games i played it was absolutely walled by Heatran, who didnt even double resist. and yes, it was Specs.
252 SpA Choice Specs Noivern Boomburst vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Heatran: 133-157 (41.1 - 48.6%) -- 74.2% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Specially defensive Heatran is likely a fine check but even the slightest chip and standard Heatran is going down

Here's a thought:
Nerf, change, or remove Boomburst from Noivern
Make a super cool Sonar-based sig move for all echolocating pokemon including Noivern

Edit: Some ideas for physical / status Sound moves:

Sonic Blitz - recoil move
Cacophany - Outrage clone
Sound Off - Beat Up clone
Wave Dash - priority move
Vibra Blade - high crit move
Double Drum - 2 hit move
Echolocation - boosting move that raises Acc.
Ping - attack based on boosting Acc. or lowering Evasion

For names, maybe Round Robin instead of Sound Off
and Vacuum Wave instead of Wave Dash (just make it Sound type and Physical)
and Drumroll instead of Double Drum

As for more Physical/Status ideas:
False Alarm - False swipe clone
Reprimand - Brick Break/Feint clone, but bypasses and breaks Substitutes.
Clamor - Splash clone, but its Z-effect raises SpA by 3 stages, and not suppressed by Gravity
Wailing Siren - a status move that, like Uproar, establishes a Field Effect (in this case 4 turns, and is not repeated) that achieves the opposite of Gravity, increasing the evasiveness of all active Pokémon by 20%
Bawl - Fake Tears and Baby-Doll Eyes clone, lowering Defense and Special Attack by 1 stage, Z-raising user's Attack by 1 stage and Special Defense by 2 stages.
Harmonious Hum - Partial trap. More power, less accuracy.
Lulling Lure - Partial trap. Less power, more accuracy.
Smacking Racket - Hits 3-5 times per turn. Bypasses substitutes.

More moves that need to be Sound type:
Screech, Roar of Time, Synchronoise, Vacuum Wave
Umbreon knows Synchronoise because Eevee learns it. But it's useless because it's a Psychic move!
The only Pokémon that know Vacuum Wave AND have any good use for it are Blaziken, Infernape, Lucario, and Mew, and all of these have nearly balanced Atk and SpA, so they won't miss it! The others that know it are the Pokémon that know things like Bullet Punch, Feint, Mach Punch, etc., and whose SpA is something to cry over (it's so pitiful), so why not revamp Vacuum Wave as a Physical Sound priority move?

Meloettium-Z + Relic Song = Mesmerizing Melody: hits twice, power varies: first hit uses Meloetta's form's higher attack stat, then Meloetta transforms, and the second hit uses Meloetta's new form's higher attack stat. 50% Sleep chance.
Soundium-Z + [any Sound move] = Resonating Rimshot: Ballistic.
