azelf and thundy-t overwhelm each others checks such as av tangrowth, chansey, and sp. def swampert. With this they are able to constantly pivot in and out and constantly threaten many pokemon that checks one pokemon but fails to check the other like moltres-g, mandibuzz, hydreigon, and krookodile able to check azelf but are fed by thundurus-t, while pokemon such as nihilego, rotom-h, and tapu bulu can do well vs thundy-t but azelf crushes them or weakens them to the point they fail to be checks

EVs: 244 SpA / 12 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature

Keldeo and Thundy-t pair very well with each other being able to overload its checks such as tangrowth, tapu bulu, and assault vest reuniclus. They are such offensive powerhouses to meaning they apply so much pressure on the opponent via scarf burns, knock off, and pivoting around with volt switch. Keldeo pairs well with thundy-t as it can weaken its counters and check some of them like prim, slowking, rotom-w, tentacruel, gyarados, and azumarill. While keldeo deals with the ground types who get in thundy-t's way

Tangrowth @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Relaxed Nature
- Power Whip
- Knock Off
- Sludge Bomb
- Synthesis

EVs: 252 HP / 120 SpD / 136 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Substitute
- Draining Kiss
- Scald

Tang and rotom pair very well as rotom is able to check many pokemon that helmet tang struggles with like aegislash, celesteela, amoonguss, mamoswine, and some more, it is also able to also take advantage of steels using tang for free switch ins for itself and threaten toxic's on opponents for free or fire overheats. It also helps primarina out with grasses that it would otherwise hate tapu bulu, roserade, zarude, and more, Tang helps rotom out by countering excadrill, walling swampert, zygarde-10% and takes advantage of them by generating free turns from these pokemon by threatening them with knock off or just ohko'ing them. Tang helps primarina as it takes physical hits which primarina lacks the investment for, while primarina can take on special attackers such as noivern, salamence, hydreigon, moltres, keldeo, etc. Primarina helps the team by dealing with many special attackers and being able to take advantage of many pokemon that counter or check the other pokemon that may be passive or something primarina deals well with like skarmory, salamence, moltres, moltres-g, keldeo, and more and setup on them

Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Rock Tomb
- Stealth Rock

Azelf @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Psyshock
- Flamethrower
- Dazzling Gleam

Polteageist @ Focus Sash
Ability: Weak Armor
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shell Smash
- Shadow Ball
- Stored Power
- Giga Drain

Here is a nice offense core that supports each other and aims to pave the way for Polteageist to tear through the opposing team.

Azelf applies pressure to many Pokémon who want to set or remove hazards and Dazzling Gleam allows to catch (OHKO) Hydreigon and weaken other dark types who switch in who would otherwise prevent Polteageist from sweeping.

Immunity to common priority of E-Speed and Mach Punch means that once dark types have have been weakened Polteageist can often sweep through opposing teams

What does it do?
Moltres, Swampert, and Zarude form a neat Fire-Grass-Water VoltTurn core that I've found to be very splashable recently. Moltres is able to defeat many Grass- and Steel- type Pokémon such as Amoonguss, Leech Seed Celesteela, Zarude, and Cobalion for the team. Being able to deal with Amoonguss is especially important for the core, as both Swampert and Zarude have a poor Amoonguss matchup. It should be noted however that Moltres shouldn't switch directly in on Amoonguss, lest it be put out of comission by Spore. Moltres can also lure in Water-type Pokémon such as Primarina and Slowking, then U-turn on them and bring Zarude in for a free kill. Swampert was added to the core in order to provide Stealth Rock, as well as for its ability to lure in Grass-type Pokémon such as Amoonguss for Moltres. In addition, it can pressure other common Stealth Rock setters such as Moltres and Rhyperior, as well as Slowbro-Galar. Finally, Zarude was added to the team to complete the Fire-Grass-Water core, as well as its ability to pressure the aformentioned Water-types. It's also able to lure in Fire-type Pokémon such as Moltres, Salazzle, and Rotom-Heat for Swampert to threaten. Choice Scarf can be run over Heavy-Duty Boots in order to threaten Keldeo-Resolute and Lycanroc-Dusk, both of which are otherwise nuisances for the core. However, this leaves the team without an answer to SubToxic Aegislash.

What should its teammates cover?
As the team doesn't have a clear Spore switchin, this core appreciates teammates like Overcoat Mandibuzz and Saftey Goggles Skarmory to be able to absorb Spore for Moltres. If running Heavy-Duty Boots Zarude, Keldeo-Resolute is a huge threat to the core. This can be mitigated by pairing the core with teammates like Scarf Zen Headbutt Jirachi and Slowbro-Galar, as both are able to threaten Keldeo-Resolute. Moltres-Galar is a threat to the core, as it is easily able to setup on Zarude and can sweep from there. Lycanroc-Dusk is also able to threaten the core, unless Zarude is holding a Choice Scarf. Hatterene is also an issue, as the core lacks a Pokémon capable of dealing with it. Steel-types such as Scarf Jirachi are able to deal with both of the previous threats.

Nihilego @ Black Sludge

- Knock Off/Dazzling Gleam
- U-turn
- Flamethrower
Zarude, Azelf and Nihilego have some amazing synergy, as one can handle what the other is weak to, as with most cores. Zarude in particular is very helpful against opposing bulky waters like Slowking, which would otherwise switch in on Nihilego most of the time. Zarude switch-ins like Moltres, Rotom-Heat, Salamence, and Mandibuzz are all U-turned out on and are taken care of by Nihilego. This gives Nihi a free chance to set up rocks or Knock Off an opposing mon's item for free. Azelf is a threat that can really pop off late game when dark types and opposing psychic-types are gone, due to the fact that Zarude and Nihilego each remove Azelf checks/counters for it to sweep. You can be fairly flexible with the moves on Azelf; Knock off, Dazzling Gleam, Thunderbolt, and the like are all fine. It's just team-dependent.

As you can see, the core is fairly simple in concept. There's nothing much to be explained besides "x mon checks y mon and helps z mon beat the rest of the team." Have fun with it!
