Hello, everyone. This week's Victim is the ghastly specter that...throws its children at you to deal massive damage. Wonder how that works. Anyways, this week's Victim is... Choice Band Dragapult!

Tyranitar is a check to Dragapult. Tyranitar can take any hit from dragapult and absolutely decimate it with knock off. Of course, u-turn hurts and 2 dragon darts can be pretty deadly, but you can tera fairy if needed, which resists both of these moves. Stone edge is a good stab move that does massive damage to most things, e-quake can deal with steel types and stealth rocks can be set up to make sure dragapult is taking chip when coming in. Rocky helmet punishes u-turn and quick attack, which along with rocks and sandstorm chip, makes dragapult much weaker to priority moves if tyranitar somehow faints.

Avalugg is a counter to Dragapult. With one of the highest defense stats in the game, avalugg is a bulky mon that can tank any hit from dragapult and recover off the damage. Once it is at enough health to 1.5 hits from dragapult, which is around 52% hp if pult uses tera blast ghost, it can set up an iron defense to take minimal damage with the best move being a 6hit ko. It can then threaten dragapult with a powerful avalanche which will do 59% minimum due to dragapult always hitting avalugg first and thus activating the double damage component if the target is hit by an opponent. Tera normal is a niche option to be completely immune to tera blast ghost, while also boosting the power of rapid spin I guess. Rapid spin is mostly filler but helps in the hazard filled metagame to let teammates take less damage.

Quick attack does 28.3 - 33.4% so you shouldn't be worried about that.
