1v1 Set Compendium
Welcome to the Scarlet & Violet 1v1 Set Compendium! This resource contains many viable sets for a large variety of 1v1 pokemon, designed to aid new and experienced builders alike in teambuilding.

Similarly to the Sword & Shield compendium, anyone that wants to contribute can post an application. Most of the work will be done in the private #set-submissions channel in the 1v1 Discord (this is what the application is for).

To apply, post a set along with an explanation of the EVs and your discord tag. This is simply to prove that you have a basic understanding of setbuilding. You don't need to have made the set yourself.
Pokemon Set:
Hydreigon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 56 HP / 116 SpA / 84 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- Snarl
- Fire Blast
EV Explanation: Hydreigon runs max speed to tie other hydreigons and outspeed haxorus, urshifu, and others. 56 HP let it avoid the 2hko from 0 attack celesteela's heavy slam. 84 spd lets it survive 2 flash cannons from 252+ spa magnezone, the remaining EVs are put in spa for the best roll against the likes of AV regidrago and AV garchomp.
Discord ID: Giboney#3519
Here's a tutorial on how to EV if you don't know how: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1Snxhe13qfZFqn_kO8eUG3BMwwfmVGRSNGuFpPqkjFDQ/edit?usp=sharing

If you don't want to be part of the team, or discord in general, you're still welcome to just send sets here to be in included in the compendium.

What is the point of living wave crash from dondozo

:Gholdengo:
Gholdengo @ Custap Berry
Ability: Good as Gold
EVs: 128 HP / 252 Def / 128 SpA
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Make It Rain
- Shadow Ball
- Endure
- Nasty Plot

Flame me if the moveset is a miss but i thought that having immunity to disable / encore / taunt is actually pretty nice to try an endure / setup strat, especially since Gholdengo has an insane Move in Make It Rain that's better than most of its coverage options at times, but i guess Specs would as well be possible, with this moveset:

- Make It Rain
- Shadow Ball
- Dazzling Gleam
- Flash Cannon / Power Gem / Thunderbolt (if you really hate dondozo, lmao.)

The EVs are to always bulk a Crunch from jolly booster energy ( i calced it with LO so it should work) Roaring Moon, so that you can Nasty Plot into Make it Rain to win the MU (Unless they run protect) and grants a 75% chance to live Crunch from Jolly Band Chien-Pao.

Iron Hands @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Atk / 24 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Fake Out
- Earthquake
- Wild Charge
Set Explanation: Iron Hands' bulk let's it live hits and return back strong attacks, so it's EV'd in full HP which lets it even live a few strong special attacks that's not from a certain Ghost. 24 SPDEF is put into it for to withstand hits better, and the rest is put into attack with Adamant and Booster Energy enhancing its attacks even further.
Fake Out is for chip damage and to break Sturdy Pokémon. Pretty straightforward set, I've gotten a lot of success from the dude.

Hungryfoodies#3410
Speed boosted Fluttermane is going to 2 shot before you can ko back, and im skeptical that dondozo wave crash is a good benchmark. At least the benchmarks are evd correctly. I'll add you, but just make sure that you actually beat the mons you are eving for.

You can drop 4 evs from defense, and still hit the same benchmark with this spread: 128 HP / 248 Def / 132 SpA
Looks good enough, would like to see a special benchmark, but its not very important. I'll add

I'm looking for evs that bulk something specific. What do you tank with 252 HP / 24 SpD, and are there extra evs in bulk that could be put in speed or attack? Not adding you rn, but your welcome to try again. Anyways here's a tutorial on how to ev for you and others who are interested.

Whats up 1v1, happy thanksgiving figured I'd drop some of the few sets I've come up with trying out SV, don't really enjoy the meta that much right now, but I am trying to be optimistic. Excited to see what happens with this metagame once Mimikyu, Sableye, and Booster Energy are all gone!

:Kilowattrel:
MixedStall (Kilowattrel) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Feather Dance
- Eerie Impulse
- Roost
- Thunderbolt

This is a cool mixed stall set I came up with, ev's are to outpace base 100's, with the rest dumped into defense because the special attackers you want to handle are going to be handled with eerie impulse anyway! Literally just a discount Tapu Koko, but this does the job vs metagame treats like Iron Hands and Chi-Yu!

:Cetitan:
YawnBD (Cetitan) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Impish Nature
- Yawn
- Protect
- Belly Drum
- Ice Spinner

Cetitan is really neat, with Wailord-esque stats investing fully in defense and spdef is truly the play, as after a Yawn+Protect, +6 Ice Spinner is going to kill what you want, so investing fully into bulk is optimal in my opinion! The Ev's can 100% be played around with more, I just legit think this mon is a classic yawn threat!

:Iron-Valiant:

SubLeichi (Iron Valiant) @ Liechi Berry
Ability: Quark Drive
EVs: 32 HP / 180 Atk / 44 SpA / 252 Spe
Docile Nature
- Substitute
- Encore
- Reversal
- Moonblast

Interesting Iron Valiant I EV'd, this also works well, maybe even better, after what I think is a likely booster energy ban! This is a seemingly crazy no nature iron valiant, but the idea is you eat a band phantom force and specs shadowball from pult with 32 hp, and kill most variants with 44 SpA Moonblast. 252 speed is for outpacing base 100's, and the rest is dumped into attack+leichi berry for a devastating reversal. Sub+Encore is to force opponnet to attack, and if they dont, break down with moonblast! By the way this mon is 100% going to be broken once Mimikyu, Sableye, Booster Energy are gone, calling it now. The mixup potential on this mon is absurd.

:Meowscarada:
Band Meow (Meowscarada) @ Choice Band
Ability: Protean
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flower Trick
- Giga Impact
- Sucker Punch
- Play Rough

Specs Meow (Meowscarada) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Protean
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Frenzy Plant
- Power Gem
- Shadow Ball
- Dark Pulse

Lastly, I think meowscarada should 100% be featured on a sets comp and is criminally underrated. The Protean nerf isn't really that much of a nerf for specs and band sets, on a mon like greninja, and meow's mixup potential with band giga impact hitting quite hard, flower trick being an insane move, or on a specs set using power gem to resist fire, or shadowball to resist fighting, etc etc, you can even use trick on the choice sets and I like meow as a great mixup potential, and perhaps the most tera-esque mon we still have! I also unironically enjoy Fraun's charm meow set, its nice af.

Bulk let's u tank 252+ specs hydropump from delibird and rest dumped in atk because killing things is good.
Ting-Lu @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Vessel of Ruin
EVs: 68 HP / 252 Atk / 188 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Payback
- Heavy Slam
- Earthquake
- Taunt
Alternatively here 188 spd let's you just tank 252+ specs moonblast from flutter mane with rest EVs dumped in hp giving u better modest specs delibird roll and let's u cheese random mus with wp. Could also use Lum and bulldoze over payback so u can beat skeledirge (and not get cheesed by wisp chi yu?) but it is generally less useful

The first set doesnt fully bulk specs hydro pump from bundle, but the calc isnt updated to work with vessel yet, so i dont blame you. the second set can be optimized by lowering the spd and raising the hp (dont just half bulk bundle). This spread still bulks specs flutter mane, but gets 15 more hp (i dropped the extra 4 evs into speed) 128 HP / 252 Atk / 124 SpD / 4 Spe. I would also like to see a physical benchmark. Adding you i guess, hoping you will ev things properly.

Vaporeon @ Kee Berry
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA / 200 SpD / 48 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Chilling Water
- Wish
- Protect

With the recovery move nerf bar Wish and all Eeveelutions gaining Calm Mind, Vaporeon can be a booster that can take on Pokemon that lack STAB to hit it super effectively while boosting with Calm Mind and Debuffing with Chilling Water. The EV spread is bit of an experiment, will make adjustments when the Meta settles.

time for a retry! the ev guide was really helpful ^^

:sv/annihilape:
Annihilape @ Roseli Berry
Ability: Vital Spirit
EVs: 107 HP / 147 Atk / 156 Def / 96 SpD / 4 Spe

+1 252+ SpA Chi-Yu Psychic vs. 107 HP / 96 SpD Annihilape: 328-386 (84.7 - 99.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO counter guarantees kill
+1 252+ Atk Great Tusk Close Combat vs. 107 HP / 156 Def Annihilape: 327-385 (84.4 - 99.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO showdown calc hasn't implemented Headlong Rush yet so this is just CC with its typing changed
+1 252+ SpA Flutter Mane Moonblast vs. 107 HP / 96 SpD Roseli Berry Annihilape: 258-304 (66.6 - 78.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252+ Atk Iron Valiant Spirit Break vs. 107 HP / 156 Def Roseli Berry Annihilape: 204-240 (52.7 - 62%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Huge Power Azumarill Liquidation vs. 107 HP / 156 Def Annihilape: 255-300 (65.8 - 77.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Shadow Ball vs. 107 HP / 96 SpD Annihilape: 320-380 (82.6 - 98.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Annihilape's bulk let's it live most hits, even super-effective ones, to hit back with either Rage Fist/Close Combat or use Counter against hard-hitting physical attacks if it can't kill them in one hit. Roseli Berry is to lure in Fairies that think they can OHKO Annihilape easily, though special attackers still beat it if they're strong enough to 2HKO and Annihilape can't kill them back (Modest Shadow Ball Flutter Mane and Moonblast Iron Valiant are examples). Roseli Berry can be switched with Life Orb if you want to deal more damage with Rage Fist and CC.

i'm planning on making more sets when i get the hang of this, so i'll just use this post to add instead of clogging the forum. hopefully i got it right this time-

First off, this is much better than your last submission. However, there are quite a few things than can improved, so I will ask you to give it another shot before I add you in. Looking at the evs, you always want them to be a multiple of 4. Overheat does a bit more than psychic, so that would be a better benchmark, but the calc hasnt implemented beads of ruin, so you cant reasonably afford to bulk that anyways. Great Tusk headlong rush is a good benchmark, something like band haxorus outrage is also an option. When you explain the set I want to know what it is bulked for specifically (say its bulked for band great tusk headlong rush and specs chi-yu psychic in this case). I've optimized your set to hit the same benchmarks (although flawed) this gives 9 more points of attack

132 Speeds outspeeds bulky Skele to not get cheesed by a Will-o-Wisp / to be able to just encore if they do something weird
168+ ATK 2 hits the submitted 212 HP 252 Iron Hands
Rest is dumped in DEF and not HP to get more damage from endeavor against special mons that tend to 2hko Donphan anyways,
but I haven't found a lot of other things to actually bulk for, if there's something to bulk for specifically I'll happily ev that.

Ability: Thermal Exchange
EVs: 72 HP / 252 Atk / 184 SpD
Adamant Nature

184 SpD + AV tank Modest Specs Chi Yu, 4 Dazzling Gleams from uninvested Scream Tail, 72 added to that just barely suffices to live Specs Modest Flutter Mane Moon Blast. This also lives 252 Modest Gholdengo Custap Make it Rain, while EQ does NOT bring (at least my set) into custap range and Ice Shard can just kill endure, while Bax naturally just barely outspeeds Gholdengo. Coverage move options are possible, such as Iron Head.

Haban Bax (Baxcalibur) @ Haban Berry
Ability: Thermal Exchange
EVs: 24 HP / 252 Atk / 184 Def / 48 Spe
Adamant Nature

- Icicle Crash / Avalanche

184 Def lives Jolly Unnerve Scarf Haxorus Outrage, 48 speed catches fast tyranitar (even tho the matchup is inconsistent and maxed out adamant Ttar probably still kills with Stone Edge into Sandstorm damage) Maxed Attack because killing things is good and 24 Evs are left over to be put in HP or defense or even speed if you want to outspeed bulky arcanine.

Really liking Wo-Chien this gen. A stalling dark grass lets it get around prankster, leech seed, and mirror coat. Ruination is a solid move and Tablets of Ruin adds some nice defense or cancels out Chien-Pao's Swords of Ruin.

This Wo-Chein abuses chip damage in conjunction with Ruination, a fixed 50% move like super fang. Low HP allows for more leech seed recovery. Protect Allows you to scout or heal from leech seed twice. Rocky Helmet deletes Mausholds, and Body press is there for some physical damage without wasting EVs on offense.
252+ Atk Chien-Pao Icicle Crash vs. 8 HP / 252+ Def Wo-Chien: 206-246 (65.8 - 78.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

effervescent (Wo-Chien) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Tablets of Ruin
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Ruination
- Body Press
- Snarl/ Knock off/ Foul Play
This slug with a home is a tanking set. Full defense allows it to live a Chien-Pao band Icicle crash - ignoring crits and flinches. Ruination sets up for Body press or Leaf Storm. Snarl is preferred for extra spdef & hitting past subs, Knock off is only for removing items (remember you are -atk so feel free to run -spe if you need damage), and foul play is nice as it is stab and doesn't need ev investment but Tablets of Ruin reduces the opponent's atk by 25%. Assault vest turns the tables on trick + disable abusers.

Calcs:
252+ Atk Choice Band Chien-Pao Icicle Crash vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Wo-Chien: 312-368 (83.6 - 98.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Iron Moth set I am desperately trying to make work.
EVs:
SpD lives Hydro Pump from a modest booster energy Iron Bundle
252+ SpA Life Orb Iron Bundle Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 216 SpD Assault Vest Iron Moth: 252-299 (83.7 - 99.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Flutter Mane Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 216 SpD Assault Vest Iron Moth: 99-117 (32.8 - 38.8%) -- 99.2% chance to 3HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Wo-Chien Dark Pulse vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Iron Moth: 108-127 (35.8 - 42.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO(EVs and IVs modified to be in line with the Beads of Ruin debuff)
40 SpA Iron Moth Overheat vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Iron Bundle: 289-342 (114.2 - 135.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Max Spe to hit 350
Dump the rest into SpA

Takes on most special attackers with relative ease, thanks to the increasing damage due to acid spray and fiery dance, combined with it's fantastic special bulk
Pretty bad against most physical attackers though, especially with how many have ground-type coverage

It seems you are overbulked for modest booster bundle hydro pump. You could probably just do timid specs tbh. It looks like you just went max speed and max special bulk without any real benchmarks. I'm not going to add you since there aren't any benchmarks here, but your welcome to try again.

I saw that you edited it to bulk bundle more accurately, which is good, but you didnt optimize it after that. I was able to get an extra point of spa and 22 extra hp with this spread: 88 HP / 44 SpA / 124 SpD / 252 Spe. I would recommend checking out my ev guide (link in the op) if you dont understand how i did this. Your very close to getting the basics, so i'll add you in. Side note: i think booster energy has different rounding than life orb, so this spread isnt entirely accurate.

Updated set!(Edited)
Iron Moth @ Assault Vest
Ability: Quark Drive
EVs: 96 HP / 12 SpA / 176 SpD / 224 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Acid Spray
- Flamethrower/Fiery Dance
- Sludge Wave
- Overheat
Speed for Iron Treads
252 SpA Choice Specs Iron Bundle Hydro Pump vs. 96 HP / 176 SpD Assault Vest Iron Moth: 272-324 (83.6 - 99.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Iron Bundle Hydro Pump vs. 96 HP / 176 SpD Assault Vest Iron Moth: 265-312 (81.5 - 96%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ SpA Choice Specs Flutter Mane Shadow Ball vs. 96 HP / 176 SpD Assault Vest Iron Moth: 117-138 (36 - 42.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
12 SpA Iron Moth Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Iron Treads: 350-414 (109 - 128.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
12 SpA Iron Moth Overheat vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Iron Bundle: 283-334 (111.8 - 132%) -- guaranteed OHKO

12 SpA Iron Moth Acid Spray vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Flutter Mane: 45-54 (17.9 - 21.5%) -- possible 5HKO
12 SpA Iron Moth Sludge Wave vs. -2 0 HP / 4 SpD Flutter Mane: 213-252 (84.8 - 100.3%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
You can also run 176 Spe to outrun base 100s and increase SpA EVs to 56
Handles most special attackers easily
Acid spray is fantastic, helping take out foes more easily, while overheat provides good firepower on top of flamethrower
Loses to many physical attackers, particularly those with ground type coverage
Fiery Dance can be used over flamethrower, trading the higher BP and better damage right off the bat for the ability to boost SpA

EDIT 2:
Another spread!
Iron Moth @ Assault Vest
Ability: Quark Drive
EVs: 180 HP / 104 SpD / 224 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Acid Spray
- Flamethrower/Fiery Dance
- Sludge Wave
- Overheat
252 SpA Choice Specs Iron Bundle Hydro Pump vs. 180 HP / 104 SpD Assault Vest Iron Moth: 290-344 (83.8 - 99.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Iron Bundle Hydro Pump vs. 180 HP / 104 SpD Assault Vest Iron Moth: 281-330 (81.2 - 95.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ SpA Choice Specs Flutter Mane Shadow Ball vs. 180 HP / 104 SpD Assault Vest Iron Moth: 124-147 (35.8 - 42.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Kingambit Sucker Punch vs. 180 HP / 0 Def Iron Moth: 292-345 (84.3 - 99.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Just for fun:
252+ SpA Pixilate Sylveon Hyper Beam vs. 180 HP / 104 SpD Assault Vest Iron Moth: 40-47 (11.5 - 13.5%) -- possible 8HKO
0 SpA Iron Moth Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Iron Treads: 344-408 (107.1 - 127.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
0 SpA Iron Moth Overheat vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Iron Bundle: 280-331 (110.6 - 130.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
0 SpA Iron Moth Overheat vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Kingambit: 426-504 (110.9 - 131.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

0 SpA Iron Moth Acid Spray vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Flutter Mane: 45-54 (17.9 - 21.5%) -- possible 5HKO
0 SpA Iron Moth Sludge Wave vs. -2 0 HP / 4 SpD Flutter Mane: 211-249 (84 - 99.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
This spread loses out on a bit of SpA from the previous, but gains better physical bulk, including the ability to tank a sucker punch from a banded Kingambit.
Like the other spread, Spe can be dropped to 176, and SpA can be increased
