I haven't played this in years, so I am a big noob right now.
WHAT'S SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN: I usually go galvantula and use sticky web, and if I can, thunder wave, and very rarely, I can ko one of their mons. Then I just use what I think would counter the rest of their team.
TEAM:
Bewear @ Assault Vest
Ability: Fluffy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ice Punch
- Double-Edge
- Drain Punch
- Darkest Lariat
This is what I tried to build the team around, even before I took a year's break, I wanted to use bewear in a team, I was bad at making teams then and I'm still bad now. I ran a test game that basically "let me see what I can do with bewear" and I ended up sweeping (according to pokemon showdown players, it didn't count because opponent was using natu and hippowdon smh). And he does a lot of damage, so I think he's pretty cool.
Sharpedo @ Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Protect
- Crunch
- Close Combat
- Liquidation
Ngl this team's just what pokemon I find cool, but, Sharpedo, I build up speed then just go ham on their pokemon. While making this team I thought, hey fluffy makes bewear 2x weak to fire, I guess I'll add a water type. And sharpedo has one shot quite a few enemies. I think it's useful.
Cryogonal @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Freeze-Dry
- Rapid Spin
- Ancient Power
- Knock Off
I thought the fact that cryogonal has levitate, freeze dry, and rapid spin was amazing. There's not even a word to describe how perfect this is. It takes care of those disgusting, ugly, water ground types, it takes care of landorus. It takes care of water types. It's perfect, absolutely perfect. I can kind of take care of volcarona, if I get the sticky web in with ancient power.
Galvantula @ Focus Sash
Ability: Compound Eyes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 HP / 0 Atk / 0 Def / 0 SpD
- Sticky Web
- Thunder
- Bug Buzz
- Thunder Wave
How I'm hoping every round goes, is I can get a sticky web off. Spider can do decent damage I guess depending on the pokemon. It can also take of a kartana that used 1 too many sword dances, got paralyzed, and got bug buzzed.
Darmanitan @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Superpower
I think this darmanitan build is absolutely perfect. It's fast, and its strong. Flare blitz does so much damage, a lot of times it doesn't even matter if the pokemon is water type it does around half health (to most).
Rillaboom @ Leftovers
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Grassy Glide
- Knock Off
- Wood Hammer
- U-turn
I added rillaboom after a nasty encounter with rain. I couldn't outspeed it. So I thought I'd just use priority. Rillaboom also takes care of the disgusting water ground types.
CONCLUSION: The team fucking sucks, but somehow, I win battles with it.
