Nasty Plot Incineroar
:ss/incineroar:
Incineroar @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Fire Blast
- Dark Pulse
- Scorching Sands / Focus Blast

While 80 base Special Attack can be underwhelming, this set can lure in physical walls that could try to switch into the physical set you might expect to see on a team with an offensive Incineroar, and it doesn't have to take Flare Blitz recoil like a physical set would. Fire Blast and Dark Pulse are obviously your best STABs, and the last slot is going to be filler: Focus Blast OHKOes Stakataka after Stealth Rock, OHKOes specially defensive Incineroar at +2 after a small bit of chip, and OHKOes Sharpedo, while Scorching Sands is more accurate, hits Diancie harder, and can fish for burns.

Scary Face Incineroar

Incineroar @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 20 Atk / 236 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Knock Off
- Overheat
- Scary Face
- U-turn

The Spe Control is one of the most important factors in the competitive battles, and Scary face allows Incineroar to outspeed pokemons with 239 Spe points (Volcanion, Decidueye, Ludicolo) bar Metagross due to Clear Body.
This way U-turn is much more useful and effective.

Ok so we have Darmanitan who is always expected to hit like a truck. Does anybody expect Incineroar to KO you? Probably not.

Incineroar @ Choice Band
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- U-turn
- Close Combat
- Flare Blitz
- Knock Off

Incineroar has a susprisingly high Atk (its highest stat) considering it is almost always used as a pivot. Let's take advantage of it! Flare Blitz is Fire-type, extremely strong, and STAB, which means it will hit for a very heavy damage. CC hits those Dark- and Rock-types and Knock Off is very strong as well as being a great utility. U-turn helps our kitty to feel like at home providing a pivot move as the one it always runs. Here some calcs for some mons:

252+ Atk Choice Band Incineroar Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Crobat: 354-417 (94.6 - 111.4%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Incineroar Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Cloyster: 236-278 (97.9 - 115.3%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Incineroar Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Incineroar: 430-508 (109.1 - 128.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO (73 - 86.2%) at -1
252+ Atk Choice Band Incineroar Flare Blitz vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Nidoqueen: 331-391 (102.7 - 121.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Incineroar Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Noivern: 288-339 (92.6 - 109%) -- 50% chance to OHKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Incineroar Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Raikou: 303-357 (94.3 - 111.2%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO (FB does indeed KO)

Necrozma has long since held a reputation of being an extremely potent offensive threat with the capability of flipping a game on its head if it can set up properly. Not only this, but it also has multiple different sets it can run in addition to a wide array of support moves and other miscellaneous choices that don't often get explored much, giving it an element of unpredictability when you face it in team preview.

Sub CM Necrozma
:ss/necrozma:
Necrozma @ Leftovers
Ability: Prism Armor
EVs: 4 HP / 180 Def / 56 SpA / 192 SpD / 68 Spe
Calm Nature
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Photon Geyser
- Earth Power
This set is aimed to take advantage of stall and set up in their face, making their life very difficult. Unfortunately this does not have the ghost typing nor 101 HP Subs, so this set can be flawed at some times, but I reserved this so who's complaining. The speed is for outspeeding 16 speed EV's Suicune and everything below that. The HP EV's is for a lefties number.

+2 252 Atk Cloyster Icicle Spear (5 hits) vs. 4 HP / 180 Def Necrozma: 275-330 (81.8 - 98.2%) -- approx. 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Xurkitree Thunderbolt vs. 4 HP / 192+ SpD Necrozma: 150-177 (44.6 - 52.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Choice Specs Chandelure Overheat vs. 4 HP / 192+ SpD Necrozma: 283-334 (84.2 - 99.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Necrozma @ Choice Specs
Ability: Prism Armor
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Photon Geyser
- Heat Wave
- Earth Power
- Prismatic Laser

While a fully offensive Necrozma set at first seems to be fully outclassed by Gardevoir, Necrozma has one thing it does not: the sheer power of Prismatic Laser, which borders upon gen 1 Hyper Beam levels of brokenness when calced:

252 SpA Choice Specs Necrozma Prismatic Laser vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Starmie: 219-258 (83.9 - 98.8%) -- 75% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Choice Specs Necrozma Prismatic Laser vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Raikou: 382-451 (119 - 140.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Necrozma Prismatic Laser vs. 212 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Doublade: 225-266 (72.1 - 85.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Choice Specs Necrozma Prismatic Laser vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Eviolite Porygon2: 192-226 (51.4 - 60.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Necrozma Prismatic Laser vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Gastrodon: 451-532 (105.8 - 124.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Earth Power and Heat Wave are obvious choices to hit Steel-types and other select Psychic resists like Incineroar and Celebi, and Photon Gyeser is needed for when you want a safer STAB move to use.

bulky sd (sorry for not posting desc i will be better this week)

Necrozma @ Leftovers
Ability: Prism Armor
EVs: 252 HP / 72 Atk / 184 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Moonlight
- Photon Geyser
- Knock Off / Earthquake

This set is excellent and an improvement on the dd set vs bulkier teams, it is very tough to take down w stuff like flygon and provides alot of defensive utility w its typing+prism armour. w knock off it is capable of performing as a reun check and eq allows it to hit darks. The given speed outspeeds base 70s.

Necrozma @ Custap Berry
Ability: Prism Armor
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
- Calm Mind
- Photon Geyser
- Heat Wave
- Stealth Rocks
This set aims to get up rocks and then set up with CM and prioretise dmg while its in the field and when ur at low health u can surprise kill a faster mon that thought it will kill necrozma.

Cosmic Power Necrozma

Necrozma @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Prism Armor
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Cosmic Power
- Stored Power
- Meteor Beam
- Rest

This set uses the defensive qualities of Necrozma.
Cosmic Power + Prism Armor + Rest = a good defensive asset able to fix both sides of the spectrum. This combination of moves is what makes it different from Metagross on a defensive role.
Stored Power is the main STAB and Meteor Beam is the coverage move chosen for its boosting effect.

Heavy-Duty Boots are perfect to preserve Necrozma's bulk from hazards.
Just an example of its bulkiness:
  • 252+ Atk Incineroar Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. +1 248 HP / 0 Def Prism Armor Necrozma: 159-189 (40 - 47.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
What this Necrozma wants is one free turn to set-up Cosmic Power, so a slow VoltTurn support is really appreciated.
A way to get rid of Dark types is mandatory if you want to start to sweep.

Trick Room Meteor Beam sweeper
:ss/necrozma:
Necrozma @ Power Herb
Ability: Prism Armor
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Photon Geyser
- Meteor Beam
- Earth Power / Heat Wave
- Trick Room

The idea is you TR Meteor beam and can be immensely threatening to offensive teams, especially as a common failsafe in Mimikyu has its disguise ignored by Photon Geyser. This set struggles with AV Reuniclus like most special attackers so ways to lure in and Toxic it like Raikou and Nidoqueen could be appreciated. Earth Power hits Incineroar and Stakataka, while heat Wave hits Celebi, Escavalier, and Bronzong.

So sorry about the late post everybody! I was busy with work over the weekend and completely forgot to update the thread. To compensate for that, and to keep everything on schedule, I'll be keeping submissions open until next Sunday, so voting will start a bit late.

We had a four way tie this week, so I'll be doing the tiebreaker! With that being said, this week's winner is Trick Room + Meteor Beam by Yourwelcomethanku! Congratulations, your set will be added to the Hall of Fame!
:bw/raikou:
Raikou is another Pokemon that's been top tier in the RU metagame for a long time, primarily functioning as an offensive pivot due to its good typing, movepool, and overall solid stat spread. Let's see what else it can do!
Raikou @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Scald / Aura Sphere
- Toxic
Submissions will be open until Sunday. Cheers!

Raikou @ Assault Vest
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Scald
- Shadow Ball / Aura Sphere / Extrasensory

This classic set out of the depths of old ORAS OU trades some versatility and Heavy-Duty Boots for the ability to better handle many special attackers. Raikou has often underlooked 90/100 special bulk, meaning it lives some surprisingly strong attacks with Assault Vest:

252 SpA Chandelure Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Raikou: 130-154 (40.4 - 47.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 252 SpA Polteageist Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Raikou: 178-210 (55.4 - 65.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Xurkitree Grass Knot (100 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Raikou: 90-107 (28 - 33.3%) -- 0% chance to 3HKO
252 SpA Volcanion Steam Eruption vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Raikou: 120-142 (37.3 - 44.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Thunderbolt, Scald and Volt Switch are obvious picks, and the last slot is filler, and team-dependent.

Eerie Impulse Raikou

Raikou @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Scald
- Eerie Impulse

The general idea behind this set is to use the combination of Eerie Impulse + Volt Switch to make the switch-ins a lot more easy.
Also, in some circumstances, Eerie Impulse is useful in a 1 vs 1 situation to take down some special attackers (if needed).

Scald is generally good alongside the former two moves because it hits Grounds (not named Gastrodon) that are immune to Electric.

Some calcs:
-4 252 SpA Noivern Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Raikou: 58-69 (18 - 21.4%) -- possible 5HKO
-2 252 SpA Volcanion Steam Eruption vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Raikou: 90-106 (28 - 33%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
-2 252 SpA Xurkitree Energy Ball vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Raikou: 61-72 (19 - 22.4%) -- possible 5HKO
-2 252 SpA Roserade Sludge Bomb vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Raikou: 72-85 (22.4 - 26.4%) -- 16.9% chance to 4HKO
-2 252 SpA Choice Specs Chandelure Overheat vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Raikou: 172-204 (53.5 - 63.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
-2 252 SpA Ninetales-Alola Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Raikou: 57-67 (17.7 - 20.8%) -- 1.1% chance to 4HKO after hail damage
