Project SS PU Victim of the Week | Week 2 - Sneasel (Submissions)

Checks: Drakloak and Meowstic
Counters: Togetic and CM Mush

I chose Drakloak because it literally cannot be damaged unless your opponent predicts that you are a SubDisable set, and even then you'd still win with WIsp+Hex. Meowstic is pretty self explanatory. Switch in and then just OHKO with Psyshock.

I choose Togetic as a counter because it can just roost off the LO damage and it literally just comes in and walls Hitmontop. I like CM Mush as a counter because it can just use Top as setup-fodder and then sweep.

moving on, this week's victim is...

:ss/mr. rime:
Mr. Rime @ Choice Specs
Ability: Screen Cleaner
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Ice Beam
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball

mr. rime's typing, vast movepool, and high special attack makes it a premier wallbreaker in the tier with a very limited amount of switchins, although its speed tier and aforementioned typing do leave it susceptible to faster threats and priority moves like first impression.

submitting the new drops this round is allowed, although i would advise against it, as we still don't know what's gonna happen with them. if you have any questions please let me know!

submission phase ends thursday / friday. good luck, and have fun!

klang

:ss/klang:
Klang @ Eviolite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 240 HP / 136 Def / 40 SpD / 92 Spe
Impish Nature
- Gear Grind
- Shift Gear

- Rest
- Sleep Talk

:klang: is a counter to choice specs- mr. rime as it can tank its stab moves psychic and ice beam with ease and it also can tank its coverage-option
in shadow ball with ease, the only thing it has to worry about it focus blast, but in overall klang can easily counter mr. rime as it can also make use of its move in rest, which makes it able to counter mr. rime consistently and sleep talk has a chance to trigger gear grind, which almost ohkoes mr. rime and with prior damage from stealth rocks mr. rime gets ohkoed by klangs stab gear grind.

calcs:
252 SpA Choice Specs Mr. Rime Ice Beam vs. 240 HP / 40 SpD Eviolite Klang: 72-84 (22.4 - 26.1%) -- 90.1% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock

Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Multi-Attack
- Flame Charge

CHECK: Like any super effective Silvally, Rockvally can easily OHKO Mr. Rime with its STAB Multi Attack. It can also switch into any attack from Rime except for Focus Blast (which only hits 70% of the time).

Munchlax is a counter to specs Rime. It can take ice beam and psychic decently well and is immune to shadow ball. It does have to worry about focus blast though.

252 SpA Choice Specs Mr. Rime Psychic vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Eviolite Munchlax: 105-124 (22.1 - 26.1%) -- 8.4% chance to 4HKO

Submitting kinda bad AV mawile as a CHECK
1591052154633.png

Mawile @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 248 HP / 12 Atk / 200 SpD / 48 Spe
Careful Nature
- Iron Head
- Knock Off / Thunder Punch / Whatever Coverage move seems right for your team
- Play Rough
- Sucker Punch
you always live two focus blasts outside of spdef drops, and you always kill back with iron head into sucker punch. I would normally run intimidate but you need sheer force to go iron head into sucker a reasonable amount of time while still not getting 2hkoed by focus blast. you run the speed for various creep reasons, but could easly go into whatever stat you feel like, if you put it into attack you can suddenly sucker punch twice to kill post rocks.
252 SpA Choice Specs Mr. Rime Focus Blast vs. 248 HP / 200+ SpD Assault Vest Mawile: 128-151 (42.2 - 49.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Mr. Rime Shadow Ball vs. 248 HP / 200+ SpD Assault Vest Mawile: 85-101 (28 - 33.3%) -- 0% chance to 3HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Mr. Rime Psychic vs. 248 HP / 200+ SpD Assault Vest Mawile: 72-85 (23.7 - 28%) -- 92.2% chance to 4HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Mr. Rime Ice Beam vs. 248 HP / 200+ SpD Assault Vest Mawile: 72-85 (23.7 - 28%) -- 92.2% chance to 4HKO
