I’d like to make a case for Aurorus to C+ at least.

Aurorus @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Blizzard
- Stealth Rock
- Earth Power
- Freeze-Dry

Relying on this very set, this beautiful dino takes care of one of the most common cores in the tier rn which is gastro + staka or mantine + staka, it outspeeds eggy-a and ohkos, deals w/infest plume lacking giga and potentially guzzlord, beats tflame lacking flare blitz easily…

This mon threatens a lot of this tier’s defoggers making it a solid rocker as well but it can still find use for other moves such as twave/veil/encore.

If you guys are feeling like making your opponents click x then u can run some rock polish power herb meteor beam set.

Rises:

:gallade: UR -> B Gallade was often outclassed by Sirfetch'd and Machamp as a Fighting-type. With less competition its quite clear to see why its usage has increased drastically, especially given its positive MU's into common Fighting-type checks such as Vileplume and Weezing.
:magneton: UR -> C+ Despite lacking Magnezone's Body Press, Magneton still makes use of Magnet Pull to effectively trap or at least weaken Steel-types, depending on its set. Taking out Steel-types is often the main priority for teams as they're often the only thing preventing a sweep with Indeedee-F or Sylveon.
:stakataka: A+ -> S Stakataka's compression of Steel typing and Stealth Rock while not being weak to Fire-type attacks makes it feel nearly mandatory on some balance-oriented teams. It has firmly cemented itself as the best Steel-type in the tier by a considerable amount and holds a lot of the tier together. Stakataka's raw bulk lets it be one of few Indeedee-F checks while reliably spreading Toxic on bulky Water-types and Mudsdale while having a naturally nuclear Gyro Ball and great coverage in Body Press making it quite difficult to switch into despite it being a defensive Pokemon.
:vileplume: A+ -> S- Vileplume's time in the tier has never been better; the best Dragon-types are gone as well as 2 Fighting-types that could often overpower it despite the type disadvantage. Vileplume's set variety and annoying moves like Strength Sap and Sludge Bomb make it virtually impossible to manage defensively. These sets include moves that can cripple offensive checks such as Corrosive Gas and Sleep Powder, although defensive Pokemon that typically don't mind an uninvested Sludge Bomb or Giga Drain such as Guzzlord or Stakataka simply get trapped and KO'd by an Infestation + Leech Seed set. Growth sets hit right in the middle, completely dunking on the average balance team by boosting on more passive Pokemon and KO-ing offensive ones with boosted attacks while Sapping any damage it takes back.
:Toxicroak: A -> A+ Toxicroak's ability lets it completely weaponize its opponents Water-types and make them a liability for the opponent while also possessing incredibly powerful STAB moves that can bypass common checks very easily such as Gunk Shot on Talonflame or Low Kick and Focus Blast for Mudsdale. Common physical walls like Mudsdale and Weezing will lose to a surprise Nasty Plot set and although Toxicroak can net raw OHKO's, its typing and ability means it often can setup in the face of a lot of the tier. Many would say Toxicroak was simply underrated from the beginning but with the developments of Shuca Berry Toxicroak to take on Silvally-Ground and Gastrodon better, even with a general decline of the Vaporeon's Toxicroak exploits so hard, Toxicroak feels fantastic in the current meta.
:gastrodon: A- -> A Gastrodon compresses the bulky Water and Ground into one slot while having Ice Beam to prevent it from being complete fodder against Grass-types, netting a 2HKO on almost all of them and OHKOing Eggy-A. There's not too much Gastrodon does different from what it did before or in any other tier its been in but it was criminally underrated before.
:tauros: A- -> A Tauros matches the power of common slow wallbreakers akin to Golurk or Exploud while reaching speeds higher than that of Silvally-Ground even with an Adamant nature. The sheer power and speed make Tauros nearly impossible to manage at all points of the game. Its vulnerability to all hazards and status and poor special defense are a liability, although this often applies to other wallbreakers mentioned before, while Tauros doesn't have a tragic speed tier or rely on a Choice-item to do damage. Choice Scarf Tauros sees more use to even further take advantage of its great speed tier, often cleaning up games where a slower Tauros would get revenge KO'd by an opposing Scarf user or one of the few Pokemon faster than it.
:aerodactyl: B+ -> A- Aerodactyl's speed tier and typing lets it act as a surprisingly effective defensive pivot while retaining the qualities of a deadly sweeper. It takes on Salazzle incredibly well because its speed never puts it on the defensive backfoot against it, and its naturally great coverage and high BP moves lets it often sweep in end games, even without a Dragon Dance, although DD sets are incredibly easy to line up wins for. Aerodactyl also offers Stealth Rock while having a reliable MU against many Defoggers or can Toxic checks like Mudsdale and Gastrodon to support another teammates.
:guzzlord: B+ -> A If Finchinator was secretly a Guzzlord I wouldn't be shocked given how perfect the metagame became for it. Fighting-types? gone. Probably the most broken Pokemon in the tier? a Psychic-type. I'll let you do the math. Guzzlord's ability to make progress with Knock Off is like no other, and is accentuated even further with a Choice Band, which can also aid in luring common checks like Sylveon and Vileplume. Defensive sets with Dragon Tail can let Guzzlord consistently check nearly anything that doesn't have an inherent type advantage while even further making progress on teams by phasing and disrupting, getting hazard damage after removing opposing Boots.
:mantine: B+ -> A Mantine is probably the best Water-type currently. As a Water-type that can beat Toxicroak and Grass-types with a good speed stat, it sets itself clearly apart from the others.
:scrafty: B+ -> A- Take what I said about Guzzlord but also make it have some horrible hate-child with Snorlax and you get Scrafty. Scrafty's ability to shrug off status and special attacks in general while crippling its checks with Knock Off makes it feel impossible to win long-term against.
:dhelmise: B -> B+ Blastoise leaving takes a tremendous burden off Dhelmise, which commonly had to run almost max SDef to reliably take on Blastoise (as reliably as one can get). Phys def Dhelmise can take even Knock Off very easily and also wall Silvally-Ground.
:duraludon: B -> B+ Duraludon takes the spot as the decently fast powerful Dragon-type with coverage for Steels. It's special bulk obviously leaves much to be desired but this is an offensive Pokemon anyway. It still takes on Vileplume and Mantine extremely well despite its poor bulk and its coverage is quite difficult to pivot around.
:drampa: B- -> B Drampa's bulk and Sap Sipper lets it take advantage of Vileplume and also completely wall Decidueye while also beating most defensive walls by Calm Minding in their face, even eventually beating Sylveon. Choice Specs sets are often outclassed due to the poor speed stat but Drampa is simply one of the most powerful Pokemon available in the tier.
:inteleon: B- -> B+ Inteleon still autowins in MU's that lack a water immunity. Although there's a few more immunities, they're far more vulnerable to U-Turn in a meta where gaining momentum on Water-types.
:sneasel: B- -> B Sneasel has an absurd speed tier and one of the best offensive STAB Combinations available with priority Ice Shard. Dark-types as a whole in this meta are much better currently and Sneasel is one of the best offensive ones.
:stunfisk-galar: C+ -> B- Stunfisk-G's compression is actually insane. Steel-type, Ground-type, Stealth Rock? One of the only ways to stop Rotom-Mow and can actually threaten stuff despite its passivity with Sludge Bomb poisons and Foul Play to deter setup attempts.
:garbodor: C -> B- Garbodor admittedly may have underrated prior to this. Spikes with Helmet + Aftermath and a great defensive typing with good bulk and Pain Split lets it reliably check / weaken Pokemon like Copperajah. Haze sets can freely Spike on Vileplume and Scrafty without them setting up and Stomping Tantrum snipes Gunk Shot resists like Salazzle and Stakataka.
:Rhydon: C -> C+ Rhydon (haha) is simply extremely strong and bulky. It's coverage in Heat Crash or Megahorn coupled with EdgeQuake lets it 2HKO almost the entire tier, with natural bulk and usable speed to Swords Dance past more defensive cores like the classic Vaporeon Mudsdale. Its basically a more offensive Mudsdale with no item or ability.
:sceptile: C -> C+ People have finally admitted that terrain teams are more than just a low ladder strategy, and Sceptile is legitimately scary and can very easily sweep entire teams if it actually has the right coverage. It's bulk with a seed boost lets it Swords Dance relatively freely and Leaf Blade with EQ, Acrobatics, Rock Slide, or Low Kick is super scary.
:vanilluxe: C -> C+ STRONG
:zoroark: C -> C+ Sorry Meri this Pokemon is very strong and Dark-types especially are great right now.

Drops:

:mudsdale: S -> S- With a huge uptick in bulky Water-types, Grass-types no longer being dictated on whether or not they have to live a Blastoise Ice Beam, and other anti-Mudsdale developments like Low Kick Toxicroak and Toxic Aerodactyl make life quite hard for Mudsdale as good as it is.
:vaporeon: A+ -> A- Vaporeon has dropped for a few reasons; the meta became tailor-made around beating it, other Water-types became better for other reasons, and maybe it was overrated from the beginning (maybe).
:escavalier: A -> A- Escavalier is a Steel-type that loses to the most dominant Psychic-type. That alone is brutal. Escavalier is also a Steel-type without Stealth Rock, meaning it often has to be paired with Mudsdale, making the entire team super slow on average.
:quagsire: A- -> B+ Quagsire is still a great defensive cornerstone, but it finds itself slightly overwhelmed by Pokemon its meant to check, with Salazzle and Silvally-Ground both nearly 2HKOing it, meaning any slight chip makes it fail as a wall.
:grimmsnarl: B -> B- Grimmsnarl undeniably packs a punch but in a tier where other Pokemon also do so equally while also providing an inkling of defensive utility make Grimmsnarl fall short in comparison. It's still strong for sure but a breaker that struggles to hit the field is often a wasted slot.

B- -> B
When the meta consists of a core consisting of a steel and water type Virizion is there (see Gen 7 RU) and once again this is a main core (e.g: Stakataka+ Gastrodon). It also gets stone edge for flying types such as mantine
252 Atk Life Orb Virizion Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 120+ Def Mantine: 231-273 (61.7 - 72.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Virizion Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 120+ Def Mantine: 460-543 (122.9 - 145.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Or Zen Headbutt for Plume
252 Atk Life Orb Virizion Zen Headbutt vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Vileplume: 143-169 (40.3 - 47.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Black Sludge recovery
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Virizion Zen Headbutt vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Vileplume: 283-335 (79.9 - 94.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery
And to be fair this isn't the greatest coverage move, hence the small rise and Virizion's Talon weakness.
Overall I think Virizion is at least slightly underrated and better than, or just as good as Gallade (who admittedly can break plume better.)

while Magneton does can trap steel types and hit Statkataka with a specs Steel Beam, but it just outclassed by Heliolisk and Rotom-Mow both excellent electric types, Rotom-Mow has Levitate and leaf Storm to hit ground types, while Heliolisk hits hard with specs and use Scarf to Revenge kill fast pokémon, and have coverage moves like grass knot and surf to hit more ground types, but it just counters by bulky steel types like Escavalier and Copperajah. the only set I see with Magneton is a Charge Beam, rest, and eviolite to make a threat but gets counter by ground types.

Fittingly, this is the month of October, where Halloween takes place! To admit, this is one of the reasons I tried Haunter, but it is also a fast ghost type wallbreaker so it can threaten more Pokémon out without having to sacrifice HP.
Haunter @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave
- Energy Ball
- Dazzling Gleam

Copperajah- while Stakataka is the definitive steel type in Nu, but Stakataka does struggle against bulky water type, but with Copperajah amazing move pool and good special bulk it’s counters bully water and steel types, but it’s does have an Abysmal physical bulk.
View attachment 458516Indeedee-F- specs sets makes Indeedee-F as a threat, and while scarf sets are fine but it’s doesn’t hit hard, Rotom-Mow is just the best choice scarf user in the tier, plus if it does runs a modest nature it just gets Revenge kill by scarf Passimian, with specs it just hit things hard, but Indeedee-F need to watch for dark types.
View attachment 458517Salazzle
View attachment 458521Sylveon
View attachment 458522Toxicroak- with an amazing ability and countering fairy types, Toxicroak is becoming one of the best fighting type in the tier but it needs to be careful of status, bulky ground types, and Indeedee-F because it blocks Sucker Punch.
View attachment 458523Talonflame
View attachment 458524Mudsdale- while Mudsdale is still great in Nu, but it’s not a tier titan in my eyes. plus as a ground type and stealth rock setter it’s just outclassed by Silvally-Ground and Stakataka respectively, it’s just lacks recovery and hates getting its leftovers getting Knock Off, and xatu Magic Bounce ability can annoy mudsdale all day.

A Rank

View attachment 458525
Snorlax
View attachment 458528Gastrodon- easily one of the best water type in the tier, while Mantine does have hurricane to hit Toxicroak hard, but if Gastrodon gets hit a water type move it’s boost it’s special attack and it hits Toxicroak hard with a stab Earth Power that doesn’t have an annoying Accuracy, and yes it’s does hate grass types but none of them want to get hit with a toxic besides Vileplume
View attachment 458529Xatu
View attachment 458530Drapion- Drapion is easily one of the best dark types in the tier in my opinion, yes it does have a disappointing attack state, but with sword dance and stab Poison Jab it just hit fairy types hard and can hit Stakataka hard with Earthquake, but it’s needs to watch out for special attacks in the tier.
View attachment 458532Exeggutor-Alola
View attachment 458533Mantine- while not being the best bulky water in the tier in my eyes but it’s still 2nd best water type in the tier, but it have to watch out for electric type moves.

Guzzlord- while it does have an monstrous attack state and can hit like truck if you give it Choice band, but it’s bulk is just awful and it’s choice lock then your screw when a fairy type does switch in to outrage you are screw and when you do Swich in a pokemon will used U-Turn or Volt switch to bring in a dangerous teammate, but if it does swich in safely it’s just dangerous.
View attachment 458538Passimian- it’s kinda shocking how this pokémon is in B+ because it’s a great revenge killer and a pivot, yes it does problems like being outclassed by scarf Rotom-Mow, hates getting status, and bulky pokémon to annoy it. while Toxicroak is still the best fighting type but as a revenge killer it’s get outspeed by Silvally-Ground and Talonflame, but for Passimian can kill Talonflame with Rock Slide and with enough chip damage it can OHKO Silvally-Ground, while bulky pokémon can switch to Passimian but none of them cannot switch into a knock Off.

View attachment 458561Heliolisk- Heliolisk is really just outclassed by Rotom-Mow and Toxicroak respectively, Rotom Mow can hit Heliolisk with a stab Leaf Storm or just Volt switch into a ground type, while Toxicroak can set up with Sword Dance and hits opponents hard without being choice lock, even if you slap a scarf on heliolisk it’ damage output doesn’t hit hard and gets well easily, but I do think specs can hit pretty hard, but needs to predict correctly if not it gets completely walled.

View attachment 458569Articuno-Galar- while Articuno-Galar does Counter big threats like Vileplume, Indeedee-F, and Silvall-Ground, but if I’m being honest it’s pretty mix between mediocre to good. but I think the problem with Articuno is the rise of great Dark types in the tier like Sneasel, Drapion, and Guzzlord, sure dark types like Scrafty and Guzzlord need to watch out for Hurricane and U-turn respectively, but Sneasel can revenge kill it, while both Drapion and Artcuno-Galar while sharing the same speed stat, but Drapion can hit it hard with a stab Knock off, and it needs to watch out for status.

Escavalier- I’m really just baffled by how mediocre Escavalier really is and its basically Grimmsnarl, but with a steel and bug type pokémon. And I know why it got popular because it’s checks Dragalge and Indeedee-F, but even if Dragalge got unban it will be just mediocre because of its 4times weakness to fire and pokémon like Sylveon, Alola-Exeggutor, Exploud, copperajah, and Indeedee-f that Escavalier could beat on paper, but all of them have a fire move to OHKO Escavalier even if it’s running an Assault Vest, and it’s hates losing its leftovers because it lacks recovery and hates getting status.

Fittingly, this is the month of October, where Halloween takes place! To admit, this is one of the reasons I tried Haunter, but it is also a fast ghost type wallbreaker so it can threaten more Pokémon out without having to sacrifice HP.
Haunter @ Life Orb

If you are nominating a Pokemon to be ranked (meaning it was previously unranked), then you need to provide replays of it being used in the metagame and you also should go out of your way to be as thorough as possible in explaining why it has a niche in the metagame (Example of GOOD UR Nomination from the OU thread) -- a vast majority of nominations have been of poor quality historically and we reserve the right to revoke nomination privileges from thread posters at any point in time. If you are in doubt, then feel free to start a conversation with me on here or discord prior to nominating a Pokemon and I will give you honest feedback on the post.
Previously or currently unranked Pokemon require replays supporting your case. In the midst of SCL, we made an exception for Galarian Articuno, but there are plenty of replays and usage statistics showing its viability.
View attachment 458588 C+ -> C
while Magneton does can trap steel types and hit Statkataka with a specs Steel Beam, but it just outclassed by Heliolisk and Rotom-Mow both excellent electric types, Rotom-Mow has Levitate and leaf Storm to hit ground types, while Heliolisk hits hard with specs and use Scarf to Revenge kill fast pokémon, and have coverage moves like grass knot and surf to hit more ground types, but it just counters by bulky steel types like Escavalier and Copperajah. the only set I see with Magneton is a Charge Beam, rest, and eviolite to make a threat but gets counter by ground types.
This is just an analysis of how different Pokemon function while comparing them when they share no similarities beyond typing. If you're to nominate a Pokemon to a different viability you have to support your case with actual interactions the Pokemon has in the meta. Magneton's purpose is to dispose of Steel-types with an Iron Defense + Charge Beam trapping set, so its matchup into Ground-types (obviously not good) doesn't matter, especially given Magneton beats Stunfisk-Galar anyway.

Gonna do some law enforcement to clean up the thread.

I thought we’re allowed to do a tier list in the thread, and I did saw some tier list in the thread, plus i’m still new to this and I didn’t know their was a Personal VR so my bad, and while Magneton can be annoying with the Charge Beam and iron defense set, and the specs sets can hit pretty hard, but needs to worries about getting Crit or getting trick to lose its eviolite.

:regice: Regice UR -> C+

Regice show up in SCL as a bulky setup sweeper able to abuse Vileplume and Stakataka dominance alongside the 2nd most used rocker in Stunfisk-Galar with great coverage and special bulk who allow it to set-up Substitute on forced switchs and be an emergency answer against strong specials breakers.Living 2 Expanding force from Scarf Indeedee,1 from Specs is huge ,considering you often need steel + dark to force predictions .Also Vaporeon being less common instead of Mantine and Gastrodon help it a lot since Regice can run Charge beam without fear pp stalling and sweep teams under Substitute.

:articuno-galar: B+ -> A- Unlike others B ranks,Articuno-G doesn't need much support.He is only walled by steels and can diversify his spread to cover important holes when building ,most notably counter both Vileplume and Indeedee in 1 slot.He can also live powerful hits like Exeggutor's Draco Meteor from full,Rock Slide from boosted GroundVally/Sceptile,Throat Chop from Tauros etc... + Future Sight is broken and offset his steel-type match-up.

:scrafty: Scrafty A- -> A+ No weezing = Lost

These Pokemon not being on the VR yet is crazy; nomming them now so they can be on the next slate.

:ss/regice: :ss/jynx: :ss/aurorus: C - B+

Regice is probably the most surprising Pokemon to see relatively high usage and success in SCL, but its no surprise that an Ice-type that can beat bulky Waters with the combination of Thunderbolt / Charge Beam and Substitute, and beat Steel-types with Focus Blast can't be that bad. We've also seen Jynx preform similarly well with these attributes. Jynx lacking Freeze Dry makes the Water MU more annoying, but it has Dry Skin and can Sub or Heal Bell to beat most Water-types anyway. Aurorus simply should never have left the VR, as its an amazing lead for HO teams with Stealth Rock, Twave, Encore, Aurora Veil, and a powerful Blizzard with complementing Earth Power coverage. Aurorus can also use all-out attacking sets or Rock Polish sets with Meteor Beam which are basically impossible to wall defesively. Obviously all these Ice-types have their defensive shortcomings, but if Sneasel, Glastrier, and Vanilluxe can be ranked, I think these can be too.

:ss/poliwrath: C+

Maybe Tlenit was right... this North Korean metagame staple known by his loved ones as Justin manages to wall a surprising array of Pokemon with its great typing and ability. The classic Circle Throw RestTalk sets beats menaces like Scrafty, Guzzlord, DD Aerodactyl, Snorlax, and Stakataka.
You can see in SCL week 5, Danny's Poliwrath walls half of Kush's team and makes great progress when paired with Future Sight.

idk why this isn't ranked it should be ranked in every tier

welp it’s that time here are some pokemon that should rise or drop. But first I want to say the S- should be removed entirely because these two mons are fantastic and has been seen a lot, while the other one is great but has flaws that hold it back from being excellent.

Rise
1667427784956.png
S- -> S
I’m still surprised how Plant demon is in S- when it’s by far the most annoying pokemon in the tier. While it does have checks like Salazzle, Starmie, Mantine, and Indeedee-F, and Magic Bounce users like Xatu and the rare and uncommon Espeon, but none of them do not want to switch into Sludge Bomb poison and Salazzle has to be careful of Sleep Powder or losing its Heavy-Duty Boots if it switch into Corrosive Gas. Growth sets can make Vileplume a excellent threat and can hit hard, and the the most annoying set is the Infestation set, it just completely walls physical pokemon and it just basically an auto win, vileplume is just an excellent pokemon.

1667427911837.png
S- -> S
While Silvally-Ground isn’t annoying as Vileplume and has checks like Quagsire, Weezing, Rotom-C, and Inteleon, but it’s just a excellent offensive and pivot pokemon. it checks Stealth Rocks like Stakataka, Copperajah, and Diancie, while it can pivot out of it checks and Rotom-C doesn’t like to switch into a 2+ U-turn, and pair with Choice Scarf Rotom-C the two can make an excellent partners for volt-turn spammed, Silvally-Ground is just the best Ground-type and offensive pokemon in the tier.

1667427934560.png
A- -> A
While Drapion does have a disappointed Atk state and doesn’t hit hard without a Swords Dance boost, but it’s dual typing and excellent movepool makes it an great pokemon. it checks Fairy-types like Sylveon and Diancie, with its great bulk it can take a few powerful physical attack, and with Shuca Berry it can survived Silvally-Ground and Mudsdale STAB ground attacks and can hit them back with a powerful Aqua Tail.

1667427994963.png
B+ -> A-
Passimian is honestly the second best Fighting-type in the tier, while it does have to face a lot of competition from Scarf users like Rotom-C and Indeedee-F, and face Fighting-type competition against Toxicroak. Passimian is still an excellent revenge killer and pivot, Choice Scarf is still an excellent choice to revenge kill Heliolisk, Talonflame, and Salazzle. While it does have to face a lot of competition against Choice Scarf Rotom-C, while Indeedee-F is now mainly running Choice Specs for Instant power to hit Steel-types hard, and does have to face against Rotom-C as an Choice Scarfer. Choice Band is a great option to run instead of scarf, and it makes Passimian hits incredible hard and walls like Xatu, Arcanine, and Mudsdale can’t take hits from band.

8F60A430-B134-4489-9264-817A981010E6.png
B+ -> A-
While Inteleon does face competition with Stamie as a offensive Water-type. However with a incredible speed state and great offense makes Inteleon a fantastic wallbreaker and with U-turn it could pivot out of a dangerous threats, while Inteleon does has problems like getting revenge killed by Choice scarf users like Rotom-C, and Passimian, and getting walled by bulky Water-types and Dry Skin pokemon like Toxicroak and Heliolisk. but if they are checked by Inteleon teammates, Inteleon can spammed its powerful specs Hydro Pump without getting walled.

88EF8CD1-44FA-4AF1-9C90-B29D12CC1C56.png
B -> B+
Sneasel doesn’t have good bulk and can get revenge killed by priority moves and choice scarfer pokemon, but it has a great speed tier and with sword dance it can be an dangerous threat that can OHKO Grass-types and can Knock Off bulky walls Leftovers and Choice band can be decent but it leaves it more vulnerable to entry hazards.

637A1B61-D2C4-4CC1-8BEC-9BFC4D76BE19.png
B -> B+
Unlike the other fighting types Glallade can check Poison-types like Weezing, and Vileplume, and it can take a few powerful special attacks due to it’s great special bulk. Glallade does have a mediocre speed tier which makes faster pokemon can revenge kill Glallde, but they do not want to switch in to a boosted Glallade attacks.

1667428055667.png
B- -> B
Virizion excellent speed tier and typing allows it to check bulky Water-, Ground-, and Steel-types, and it has an amazing special bulk to take a few powerful special move, and with a Swords Dance boost it can hit hard with its stab moves, while hitting Flying-type with Stone Edge or hitting Poison-types with Zen Headbutt. but it speed tier does leave it to get revenge killed by Talonflame, Tauros, and Salazzle it also has to chose Stone Edge or Zen Headbutt for its last move slot which makes it a lot harder for Virizion since it can get walled easily, but it’s still a good Fighting-type.

1667428121951.png
UR -> B-
I hope that people stop sleeping on Absol when it’s the most underrated Dark-type in the tier. while it has to face competition from Drapion, Guzzlord, Sneasel, and Scrafty, can’t fit all of its coverage move and it’s speed and bulk isn’t the greatest getting destroyed by all of the Fighting-types and pokemon that can out speed Absol in the tier. While Absol flaws hold it back from being great, but it’s just a better Grimmsnarl and it’s still a good wallbreaker in the tier.

Drops
1667428207352.png
S- -> A+
Mudsdale is still a great pokemon and Stealth Rock User, but it has one main problem it lacks a recovery move. it only recovery is Leftover which can be Trick or getting hit by Knock Off and getting worn down to easily. Xatu is just a perfect check it completely blocks Stealth Rock and Toxic it has to use Smack Down to rid of Xatu half Flying-type. However Protect or Body Press are always the last move you will run on Mudsdale, Protect is great to gain extra health from Leftovers and to scout out Choice Scarf Rotom-C Leaf Storm, Body Press has great synergy with Stamina to hit Normal- and Dark-types hard. As a Stealth Rock pokemon it face a lot of competition against Stakataka which has great bulk while having a lot of Resistance to powerful wallbreakers like Decidueye, Indeedee-F, and Exploud which Mudsdale can’t take their STAB attacks, even with its great defense powerful physical wallbreakers like Choice Band Passimian, Tauros, and Golurk can still hit Mudsdale into KO range with enough chip damage. Mudsdale is a great pokemon, but it’s flaws hold it back from being a top tier pokemon

1667428243807.png
A -> A-
Guzzlord is a excellent Wallbreaker it hits incredible hard with Knock Off Guzzlord checks do not want to loose their items, coverage moves like Heavy Slam to hit Fairy-types like Sylveon and Diancie if they switch in and Earthquake hits Poison-types like Toxicroak and Drapion hard. but revenge killing Guzzlord is pretty easy due to its awful speed and bulk, and even pokemon that Guzzlord can check they can pivot out to bring in a Dangerous teammate to check Guzzlord. It also face competition from Drapion, while Drapion doesn’t have a great Atk stats but it makes for it by its excellent movepool, good speed tier, and with its half poison type it destroys Fairy-types. While Guzzlord has Heavy Slam to hit Fairy-types hard but it just lacks defensive to switch in to powerful attacks, and even if it switch into a resistant attack it will get chip by Spikes or Stealth Rock making it harder for Guzzlord to switch in to pokemon that it checks. Guzzlord is still a great Dark-type but it’s poor speed and defense hold it back from being a top tier Dark-type.

C23247C3-8687-4C6F-8355-1A6E532E374E.png
A- -> B+
Heliolisk is still a great pokemon but it faces 2 main competition from Rotom-C and Toxicroak. Rotom-C is obvious it’s a better Volt Switch user and having a STAB Leaf Storm while Trick it Choice Scarf to cripple walls and it’s the best Choice Scarfer in the tier. While Heliolisk does run Choice Scarf to outspeed Rotom-C but it does get walled by Ground-types if it goes for its electric Stab and scarf heliolisk doesn’t hit hard and lacks raw power when Specs set hit much harder. While Toxicroak isn’t fast but it has Swords Dance and Nasty Plot while having two priority moves like Sucker Punch and Vacuum Wave to KO faster pokemon and doesn’t need a Choice item to be great. Heliolisk is still a good pokemon but those two makes heliolisk a lot harder to used on a team.

1667428289248.png
A- -> B+/ B
We all know why Escavalier was great it was mainly to check Dragalge and Indeedee-F, but after the ban of Dragalge and the rise of great Dark-types to check Indeedee-F, Escavalier just fell off hard. As a Steel-type it faces stiff competition from Stakataka and Copperajah both having Stealth Rock while bringing more options to a team slot. While not having Stealth Rock does suck but the thing that makes Escavalier not a good Steel-type is the quad weakness to fire. Pokemon like Exeggutor-Alola, Sylveon, and Exploud that it could check on paper but they all have Fire-type coverage that destroys Escavalier all of these reasons make escavalier not a great Steel-type to used on a team when Stakataka and Copperajah are always the prefer Steel-type.

1667428340842.png
B+ -> B
Tyrantrum is just a mediocre pokemon. Head Smash can be dangerous to switch in but it’s get completely walled by Ground-types, even if it sets up one Dragon Dance it will get out speed by Choice Scarfs like Rotom-C, Passimian, and Indeedee-F so it has to set up 2 Dragon Dance or Scale shot. But due to its awful SpD bulk it gets by any special move so setting up will be difficult for Tyrantrum to set up.

1667428369986.png
B- -> C+
Grimmsnarl is pretty mediocre and not a good Dark-type. The main problem for Grimmsnarl is the lack of Knock Off making it hard to get rid of bulky wall’s items and unlike the other Dark-types where they bring more options to a team slot, Grimmsnarl isn’t worth a team slot when it brings so little in a team. As a Choice Band pokemon it’s completely outclassed by Passimian and Decidueye which hit hard with their STAB attacks, and with grimmsnarl mediocre stats makes it hard for it to switch into the field, and if Grimmsnarl did had Knock Off it could been a top tier Dark-type, but it doesn’t leaving Grimmsnarl to be not very good in the tier

1667428408100.png
C -> UR
I’m still shock how this mon is not unrank when it’s completely unviable. As a Steel-type it fails at being offensive and defense mainly rely on Eviolite to give it bulk, but with Knock Off and Trick is everywhere so losing its Eviolite will be a big problem for Doublade. Due to its awful Special defense powerful special wallbreakers like Choice Specs Indeedee-F, Exploud, and Drampa can hit Doublade hard even if it’s holding a Eviolite it will still get hit hard. Doublade is not worth a team slot when better Steel-types like Stakataka, Copperajah, Stunfisk-Galar, and even Escavalier are better and they bring more options instead of Doublade.

Scrafty can be incredibly hard to stop without Fairy/Fairy Coverage or a Weezing. Its specially defensive Bulk Up set is an excellent wincon, and can punish common defensive staples such as Gastrodon and Vaporeon. An idea I've been trying is Throat Chop > Knock Off to setup in Sylveon's face, since on defensive sets, Hyper Voice is the the only attack it runs. I've even started running Moonblast > HVoice on defensive sets since I'd rather not get run over. After most of the fightings in the tier being banned, Scrafty has finally gotten its time to shine. Even outside of using Bulk Up, Scrafty has lots of defensive utility. A Quadruple Dark resistance allows it to switch into Banded Guzzlord's Knock Off, and a Ghost resist allows it to switch-into Poltergeist from Decidueye. There's not much to say, it's just a great mon in the tier despite having competition with Toxicroak.

Decidueye shouldn't be in A ranks anymore. Talonflame, vileplume, guzzlord, stakataka etc. are all way too common to get this mon going. SCL usage also reflects the decreased viability of this mon with a whopping 2 uses.

-> B+ One of the better sd breakers in the tier. Matches up well vs the main mons atm, lives scarf expanding force (pog) which is about the only defensive value this things has comparing to like croak or vally. It's a good middle way if you wanna matchup well vs plume but dont wanna use np croak who tends to be weak at times. Pads also ensure you can click cc freely which is super useful, life orb or lum work too but i had the best results with pads.

hi

:silvally: :vileplume: S- --> S
S- feels weird as a rank because of how great the S tier Pokemon are. Silvally-Ground is an outstanding pivot that is splashable and can actually threaten most of the tier. Plume doesn't die and will continue to not die if Indeedee gets banned.

:Mudsdale: S- --> A
This is definitely a hot take, but Mudsdale is really passive which isn't good in current meta as there are numerous setup sweepers that can sit on the horse. It's great at what it does, yes, but it fails at being able to do more without the help of a Vaporeon or Sylveon.

:Tsareena: A --> A-
Tsareena feels weird. It's hard to fit on teams without being overly weak to Talonflame or Vileplume. Rotom-C and Dhelmise are better hazard removal options that are capable of more than just removal.

:Decidueye: :Starmie: A- --> B+
Decidueye is ranked too highly right now. With the rise of Guzzlord and Sceptile teams Decidueye has issues with fitting on teams and actually doing much in battle. It lacks the Speed to be a consistent SD sweeper while lacking the power to hit through Stakataka, Drapion, and Weezing. Starmie has always been ranked too high, and with Guzzlord, Gastrodon, and Sylveon it fails to get far in most situations. It lacks power to be a successful breaker and suffers from revenge killers like Sucker Punch Toxicroak, Rotom-C, Salazzle, and Talonflame.

:Gallade: :Stunfisk-Galar: :Virizion: B/B- --> B+
As Poh mentioned in their post, Gallade excels as a SD sweeper because it beats Vileplume and common Steel + Water cores. Gunfisk is underrated, especially taking into account its SCL success. Ground + Steel with SR is excellent role compression; being able to switch into both Indeedee and Rotom is also an amazing trait. I'm not done talking about Virizion... it handles really well into common defensive cores as well as VoltTurn teams relying on Groundvally and Mowtom. Besides, having Virzion in B- with the likes of Togedemaru and under Sneasel and Golurk feels off.

Lots of Grass-types mentioned lately, here r my takes on them

:Vileplume: Playing Vileplume over another Grass leaves you quite a lot weaker to Vally-G unless you pair it with something like Quagsire or Avalugg. People also play a lot of Articuno-Galar, Xatu or even other weird Sap Sipper Pokemon, as well as Pain Split Poison-types. All of those meta trends together keep it in check very well, just slot it into mid or high A.

:Tsareena: Tsareena is incredibly strong and dangerous offensively. Unlike Dhelmise, it benefits a lot from the speed boost provided by Spin. Tripple Axel prevents Plume from freely switching in, and you are even unaffected by effect spore in general. Talonflame is annoying but Knock+SR can also pressure him. Keep it in A.

:Decidueye: Decidueye seems very mediocre, I can not think of a single good set you can use. As a remover it is worse than any of Dhelmise/Tsareena/Rotom, and offensively :Gourgeist: Gourgeist-Small occupies a much better speed tier, able to outpace Vally-G and the other millions of mons hitting 317 in this tier. I would drop it as far as B- and bump Gourgeist-Small up to a similar ranking.

:Virizion: Virizion is quite interesting. The CB set allows it to run all the coverage it needs, and being a Grass-type it isn't afraid to touch Vileplume with Zen Headbutt. Its fantastic speed tier & special bulk push it into the high B's in my humble opinion.

:Rotom-mow: Rotom needs to leave this tier, I went a bit into why here.

indeedee-f checks mower greatly, but its getting banned

anyways

:vileplume: easy S tier, this thing walls a massive chunk of the tier, and with Indeedee leaving the tier soon, it will wall even more. If we don't ban this thing next, SS NU will become SM UU 2. I'm running it on my NU Suspect Test thing, and it walls almost everything that checks my sweepers.

:quagsire: B+ -> A-
Quagsire is literally almost the exact same as Gastrodon, except with Unaware. With how prominent setup sweepers like Salazzle are, this thing can switch in and just tank that attack and at least status it on the minimum.

:decidueye: I'd say drop it too, just not as far as B-. Can Gourgeist-S run a special attack set? No, it cannot. Can Gourgeist-S Pivot? No, it cannot. The only thing I can think of that Gourgeist-S does better than decidueye is Revenge kill. Both are good tho

:tauros: A -> A+
This thing can kill so much it isn't even funny. Life Orb Sheer Force is a well... force to be reckoned with on a mon with as much Sheer Force affected coverage as Tauros. Stab LO SF Body Slam kills anything that doesnt resist, and if it does, its most likely weak to coverage.

:stakataka: S -> S-
I havent been seeing much of this lately. With a lot of mons such as the aformentioned Tauros, phys Toxicroak, and Hitmonlee (ban indeedee-f), becoming prominent again, this thing just cannot hope to compete with its low speed.

:vanilluxe: C+ -> C
Current spot in the meta does not fit it. Super effective moves from highly powerful mons flying towards an extremely frail thing does not bode well.

pls dont remove mods I risked doing this in school

mom the people better than me are laughing at me again :_(

Starmie is ranked to high and with Guzzlord, Sylveon, and Copperajah can take its hits and can OHKO Starmie. It doesn’t help that it face competition as a offensive water-type from Inteleon which has better offensive while having U-Turn to get out of its checks and Inteleon always win a 1 v 1 because of its higher speed, and it doesn’t help that it gets destroyed by common Choice Scarf users like Passimian and Rotom-C. While Starmie is still useable but it’s just lacks raw power and can get walled to easily.

B+ -> A-
Dhelmise is the best entry hazards remover in the tier. while Tsareena and Decidueye does have some advances like U-Turn and being faster however what makes Dhelmise better than Decidueye and Tsareena is it’s better bulk with Colbur Berry it allows to take Knock Off and it does have some problems that hold it back, but It’s still a great and is definitely better than Decidueye.

A -> A- / B+
Tsareena hasn’t been seen on a lot of teams and it make sense why it’s just has a lot of competition from other Grass-types and as a entry hazards remover Dhelmise and Rotom-C are always better and they bring more options then removal.

here are my final thoughts on pokemon that should rise and drop.

Rise
1668875067283.png
B- -> B+
Stunfisk-Galar is really good and underrated it mainly blocks Rotom-C Volt Switch and doesn’t get destroyed by a Leaf Storm, but it has problems like getting destroyed by Fighting-, Water-, and Ground-types it doesn’t like to get trick a choice item, xatu is still annoying however doesn’t like a sludge bomb poison, and finally it faces a lot of competition as a stealth rock user from Stakataka and Copperajah which are always the prefer steel types and stealth rock user but I still think Stunfisk-Galar is a solid overall pokemon.

1668875123407.png
B+ -> A-
Diancie is a another underrated pokemon and still a good stealth rock user. While it faces a lot of competition from other Stealth rock users like Mudsdale, Copperajah, and Stakataka and as an fairy-type it mainly faces against which is Sylveon which is always prefer Fairy-type and cleric. But I think what Diancie has over Sylveon is Body Press if it get a +2 from Diamond Storm and can absolutely destroy steel-types like stakataka and copperajah and unlike mudsdale where xatu can annoy it, Diancie can hit Xatu hard with it STAB rock attack.

1668875607295.png
B- -> B
Garbodor does has to a lot of competition from weezing who is always the prefer and xatu is always a pain to Garbodor and outside of that Garbodor is still a solid pokemon and it’s still a great Spikes user.

1668875870838.png
B -> B+
drampa is a fantastic wallbreaker, Choice Specs sets hit incredible hard and blocking any grass move is always great.

Drops
1668876186262.png
C+ -> C
the only good thing i can say about glastrier its a fantastic trick room pokemon and outside of that it’s really not worth a team slot. its typing lacks any defensive Utility.

30BF981A-A053-4511-8CE5-F5B61E91B9DA.png
C -> UR
Ferroseed is just so outclassed by other pokemon and it really not worth a teamslot when there are so much better options then Ferroseed.

SV is out but I have another SSNU tiering update!

The voting sheet can be found here, under the page for November 13th. Keep in mind that despite Indeedee-F's ban, this list will more closely reflect the metagame that had Indeedee-F in it until our council can more accurately rank Pokemon in a new and less restricted meta. zS has joined us and additionally, we've adopted some rotating council members; big thanks to Danny and Gilbert arenas for contributing and taking over for S1nn0hC0nfirm3d and OnArceus for this slate.

Rises:
:Aurorus: UR -> C+

:Jynx: UR -> C
:Ditto: UR -> C

Drops:

:mudsdale: S- -> A+
:salazzle: A+ -> A
:gastrodon: A -> A-
:snorlax: A -> A-
:tauros: A -> B+
:decidueye: A- -> B+

:araquanid: B -> B-
:drampa: B -> B-
:exploud: B -> B-
:grimmsnarl: B- -> C+
:froslass: C+ -> C
:magneton: C+ -> C

Rises:
:Aurorus: UR -> C+ Boasting Stealth Rock, Aurora Veil, Encore, and Thunder Wave, Aurorus makes for one of the best dedicated leads in the tier. Besides its utility options, Aurorus has incredibly high BP moves like Blizzard and Meteor Beam with Freeze Dry and Earth Power for perfect complementing coverage, making it a fearsome wallbreaker despite its poor defensive typing.
:Regice: UR -> C+ Regice has incredible natural bulk, which lets it make the fullest use of its fearsome BoltBeam coverage, with Focus Blast for Steel-types too. Regice can hide behind Subsitute using its great bulk to take advantage of special attackers like Vaporeon, Mantine, and Rotom-Mow, and can even boost its special attack with Charge Beam over Thunderbolt. Regice's SCL and NU Swiss debut have shown that its more than just "BoltBeam coverage on paper"
:Jynx: UR -> C Ice-types are pretty good in the meta, huh. Jynx's Water immunity and solid special bulk let it thwart bulky Water-types, even sometimes using Heal Bell to cure Toxic. Nasty Plot with powerful Ice Beam, Psychic/Psyshock, and Focus Blast for coverage makes it extremely threatening to defensive cores should it get a free Nasty Plot. Jynx has laughable physical bulk though and its speed is only average in today's economy.
:Ditto: UR -> C Ditto thwarts setup attempts from the opponent even without hitting the field, as offensive teams often cannot afford to setup as a risk of getting copied and reverse swept. Even besides setup sweepers, many defensive pieces like Mantine, Rotom-Mow, and Mudsdale sort of wall themselves, meaning Ditto can afford to use its opponent's utility moves against them as well.
:aerodactyl: A- -> A Aerodactyl offers a ton of defensive utility despite being blisteringly fast, which cannot be said for almost all other defensive pieces. Beyond Stealth Rock, Taunt, Toxic, and Roost with a great typing, Aerodactyl's Dragon Dance set makes use of its amazing coverage to effortlessly clean up weakened teams.
:scrafty: A- -> A Scrafty is a complete beast that outlasts most of its checks in the longrun and effortlessly shrugs off typically annoying hits like Knock Off and status moves with its Rest + Shed Skin combo. Choice Band and Dragon Dance sets can completely catch typical Bulk Up checks off guard and still put in immense work simply due to Scrafty's powerful Knock Off and Close Combat.
:dhelmise: B+ -> A- Dhelmise's defensive profile gives it a defined niche in the tier as hazard clearer that isn't weak to U-Turn or Volt Switch. Dhelmise's natural strength and coverage with Knock Off makes it quite difficult to switch into even as a defensive Pokemon.
:inteleon: B+ -> A- Inteleon into a team without a Water-immunity just feels unfair. Its natural strength and speed makes it very overwhelming and its set diversity with Choice Specs, Choice Scarf, and Scope Lens make it very terrifying. Even into Water immune Pokemon, Inteleon can U-Turn on them into an abuser like Toxicroak or Heliolisk.
:garbodor: B- -> B Spikes have always been powerful and Garbodor's ability to force Poison on common removers users like Mantine and Xatu, and just plain threaten out Rotom-Mow and Tsareena make its Spikes quite difficult to remove. Stomping Tantrum lets it hit Stakataka very hard, which has risen as the most common Steel-type by a longshot. Haze and Pain Split let Garbodor 1v1 Vileplume and Scrafty while getting Spikes up. Rocky Helmet + Aftermath mean that even postmortem Garbodor can put in work.
:stunfisk-galar: B- -> B Despite our best efforts, Stunfisk-Galar has made itself a tier staple with compressing the Steel- and Ground-type with Stealth Rock and great bulk. This compression enables a ton of new options for teambuilding.
:arcanine: C+ -> B- Arcanine's less crippling Stealth Rock weakness and better bulk than Talonflame has made it seen more on bulkier teams that appreciate its reliability. Arcanine serves as a sturdy check to Copperajah and Sceptile.
:rhydon: C+ -> B- Rhydon compresses the roles of the 2 best Ground-types in Mudsdale's bulk and Stealth Rock, and Silvally-Ground's Swords Dance and overall offensive nature. Rhydon packs coverage for its common Grass-type checks like Rotom-Mow and Vileplume and can Swords Dance past many bulky Water-types.
:sceptile: C+-> B+ One of the most controversial Pokemon leading up to Indeedee-F's ban, Sceptile very easily dismantled teams with its insane combination of bulk and speed while under Terrain, which both lets it set up Swords Dance safely and be immune to priority moves. Sceptile's coverage let it bypass many checks, meaning only Weezing and Arcanine were reliable checks

Drops:
:stakataka: S -> S- Stakataka dropping isn't so much a statement on its viability but moreso to demonstrate how good Rotom-Mow is comparatively as the solo S rank. Regardless, as Stakataka cements itself as the #1 Steel-type, it will be prepped for more often. Close Combat Escavalier, Low Kick Alolan-Exeggutor, Earth Power on Diancie, etc..
:mudsdale: S- -> A+ As Stakataka takes the place of the best Stealth Rock setter, Mudsdale also finds itself overwhelmed by the Toxic spam in the tier and also developments such as Dhelmise becoming better, Sceptile being more common, and both Low Kick and Focus Blast Toxicroak.
:salazzle: A+ -> A With more diverse Water-types being seen, partially due to Blastoise ban but overall general meta shifts, Salazzle being able to exploit Vaporeon with Knock Off, Toxic, or Encore doesn't matter quite as much. More sturdy checks like Gastrodon and Mantine, while annoyed by these utility moves, can still reliably stave off Salazzle. Previously, Salazzle could make absurd progress regardless of which utility move it picked, but now it feels like the choice actually matters in each matchup.
:gastrodon: A -> A- Gastrodon's passivity in a tier with so many menacing Grass-types can be quite a detriment. Although Gastrodon has Ice Beam, it still has to pick between Scald and Earth Power, and a 4th move in Toxic, Clear Smog, or something like Yawn, as well as its item. Typically having multiple options is a good thing, but when you lose out on certain things because you dropped a specific move, it makes Gastrodon stretched too thinly
:snorlax: A -> A- With Scrafty preforming a similar role and having a direct advantage against Snorlax, not only does this hurt Snorlax, but everything prepping to counter Scrafty indirectly counters Snorlax as well; Trick Rotom-C and Indeedee-F, Trapper or Growth Vileplume, Iron Defense Stakataka, etc.. Snorlax's great natural bulk is still amazing and puts in work, but it often struggles to Curse sweep as freely as it used to.
:tauros: A -> B+ Possibly overrated before, Tauros is a phenomenal wallbreaker with insane power and coverage AND amazing speed. Despite these qualities, Tauros is vulnerable to EVERYTHING; Rocky Helmet, all entry hazards, all status moves including Effect Spore and Flame Body, and almost no defensive utility in its typing and literally no resistances.
:decidueye: A- -> B+ Physical sets having Shadow Sneak thwarted by Psychic Terrain is the biggest factor for Decidueye dropping. Having to resort to Choice Specs and Defog sets, both of which are relatively outclassed, its no wonder there's been less Decidueye seen. With Indeedee-F now banned, it can be expected Choice Band sets that can chip common Dark-types with U-Turn could be seen cropping up again in the future.
:heliolisk: A- -> B+ Heliolisk's constant battle to keep its coverage up to date with the metagame in a tier with Stakataka, Gastrodon, Snorlax, and many Grass-types is hopeless. In the right matchup it can beat slower teams down with super-effective moves, but its reliance on coverage to do lots of damage is a big hinderance.
:diancie: B+ -> B Diancie just keeps falling further and further down. It's lack of recovery and mediocre typing as a cleric makes it too unreliable for teams that need its clerical abilities. Offensive sets are quite potent at luring common Steel-types like Stakataka and Escavalier but fall short if properly scouted, and Rock Polish sets even after a boost can be too slow and struggle to set up in the first place.
:tyrantrum: B+ -> B Tyrantrum is extremely powerful and nothing else. Head Smash isn't even accurate and there's too many common Rock resists. Dragon Dance sets are too slow and frail, OHKO'd by Scarf Indeedee-F and Rotom-C.
:araquanid: B -> B- Araquanid exploiting bulky Water-types is not exactly a unique niche anymore, and its poor speed and lack of recovery leaves it very vulnerable in long games, which Araquanid is specifically supposed to be good in.
:drampa: B -> B- Drampa's Choice Specs sets are simply outclassed by other Specs breakers, but its Calm Mind sets are neutered by Toxic and is always lacking coverage for something, needing a STAB move, Calm Mind and Roost, and one of Fire Blast, Surf, or Focus Blast, which is always walled by something.
:exploud: B -> B- Exploud was often outclassed by Indeedee-F due to them having similar power levels but Exploud is slower. Exploud's coverage is better and if it gets the read on the Steel-type it can often steamroll games but there are breakers that don't have to predict at all
:grimmsnarl: B- -> C+ Grimmsnarl simply falls short as a wallbreaker because it lacks in offense, speed, and bulk. It's Prankster sets are fancy but Bulk Up RestTalk has to pick what it loses to and with Light Clay banned, screens aren't worth running an otherwise useless Pokemon.
:froslass: C+ -> C Much like Garbodor, Froslass is one of a few good Spikes users. Unlike Garbodor, Froslass lacks the longevity needed to keep Spikes up in the longer games that Spikes would be more useful in. It's quite easy to just take out Froslass then remove the Spikes later.
:magneton: C+ -> C Magneton's trapping set is quite effective, but there's better ways to take out or weaken Steel-types while using a Pokemon that offers more beyond just that.

If you find any mistakes please let me know!

Golbat @ Eviolite

Ability: Infiltrator

EVs: 252 HP / 20 Def / 80 SpD / 156 Spe

-Jolly Nature

- Brave Bird

- Toxic

- Taunt

- Roost

Globat is a underrated defensive Pokémon and definitely appreciate the ban of Indeedee-F. It's Taunt allows it to block recovery moves from bulky waters like Gastrodon and Mantine, and it blocks Strength Sap from Vileplume. It can be a excellent against Stealth Rock users like Stakataka, Copperajah, and Mudsdale it can survive a Copperajah Rock Slide. While against Utility Stakataka sets it can survive a Gyro Ball and can stall out all of Gyro Ball PP allowing a teammate to switch in to OHKO Stakataka. Globat is a great Check to Sceptile it can survive a +2 item less Acrobatics and can OHKO Sceptile. While it does have problems like Psychic-types, heavily reliant on it's Eviolite, and its vulnerable to Stealth Rock. But it's still a good pokemon and it's definitely underrated.

16+ Atk Copperajah Rock Slide vs. 252 HP / 20 Def Eviolite Golbat: 132-156 (37.2 - 44%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
4 Atk Stakataka Gyro Ball (150 BP) vs. 252 HP / 20 Def Eviolite Golbat: 178-211 (50.2 - 59.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252+ Atk Sceptile Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 252 HP / 20 Def Eviolite Golbat: 172-203 (48.5 - 57.3%) -- 94.1% chance to 2HKO

:bw/sableye: => C+ / B-

Sableye has remained in the shadows (haha) for a while now, but has had a clearly defined niche that entire time.

Sableye @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Knock Off
- Encore
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover
This set was first initially "popularized" in the Machamp meta, I think first used on a stall team made by OnArceus (Sorry if I'm wrong). Sableye was one of few Machamp switchins and also punished Blastoise for using Shell Smash with Encore. Although Obviously Machamp and Blastoise are gone, Sableye still serves as an excellent Fighting-resist and anti-setup wall. With Rocky Helmet and Prankster Encore, Will-O-Wisp, and Recover, Sableye makes for a great, unique, and independent (not reliant on Wish support) check to physical sweepers like Toxicroak, Silvally-Ground, and Tauros.

In this NUSD game, Sableye serves as an excellent Toxicroak check as it can pivot into Fighting-type moves, punish Swords Dance with Encore, and threaten burns. Because Sableye forces so many switches with Encore and Will-O-Wisp, it gets a lot of free Knock Offs to make progress for its teammates. Despite being a solid pivot into Indeedee-F, it was unable to make use of its Prankster moves against a majority of the metagame while in Psychic Terrain, meaning it will likely become even better now that Indeedee-F is banned.
