Project SS Monotype Community-Create-A-Team

:blacephalon::spectrier: + :corsola-galar:/:golurk:
We started with a power offensive core, so we decided to add a Stealth Rock setter. Originally, we wanted to add Corsola-galar. However, Golurk's ground typing gives the team an easy way to deal with Regieleki. Leftovers gives Golurk an extra bit of longevity to help in the electric matchup.
:blacephalon::spectrier::golurk: + :aegislash:
Aegislash is an amazing Steel-type with high bulk and attack. Our Weakness Policy set aims to maximize Aegislash's ability to eat a Super Effective hit and then KO the attacker back.
:blacephalon::spectrier::golurk::aegislash: + :dragapult:
Dragapult is a fast setup sweeper that can destroy teams without a Fairy-type. Disable allows dragapult to setup on slower Choice Item users or Pokemon with only 1 relevant attack.
:blacephalon::spectrier::golurk::aegislash::dragapult: + :mimikyu:
Mimikyu is an amazing glue mon thanks to its ability Disguise. Wood hammer allows it to KO many relevant Ground and Water-type Pokemon such as Hippowdon and Rotom-wash
Shoutouts to: DYA, Roxiee, Calem DPU, ShibeFromTwitter, The Thunderbirds, smub, Spectrier Rider, Octopi, RogueExcaliburn, RavioliKid, AV Cosmoem, Mira Tsubakirhara and RottenInfernape for helping make this team!

:diancie: + :tapu-lele:
We started out by agreeing to add the 3 best Tapus. Since Tapu Lele was banned last gen, we were hyped to add it first. We started out with a specs set, but eventually changed it to scarf to help deal with Landorus-I.
:diancie::tapu-lele: + :tapu-bulu:
We decided to go with a bulk up set utilizing Tapu Bulu's new coverage move close combat.
:diancie::tapu-lele::tapu-bulu: + :tapu-koko:
Taunt Tapu Koko can help us vs balanced and stall teams who might want to set up. Brave bird gives us extra coverage for trying to break the poison regenerator core.
:diancie::tapu-lele::tapu-bulu::tapu-koko: + :klefki:
Standard Screens Klefki gives us a great way to make our HO team survive longer. Thunder wave also gives us more speed control.
:diancie::tapu-lele::tapu-bulu::tapu-koko::klefki: + :azumarill:
Sub azumarill helps us win the fire and ground matchups. Its powerful priority also gives us one last element of speed control
Shoutouts to: RottenInfernape, DYA, Shady Icy, Octopi, Kingdralt125, and spectrier rider for helping make this team!

:regieleki::tapu-koko: + :zeraora:
We started by adding the S tier mons of electric. we decided on a bulk up set for zeraora. Knock off helps vs Aegislash, and Close Combat helps vs Ferrothorn.
:regieleki::tapu-koko::zeraora: + :raichu-alola:
Raichu is also an S tier mon on electric. It's insane speed and power boost from elelctric terrain make it perfect for our team. We decided that a nastly plot set would be the best, as it allows raichu to punish pokemon attempting to stall out electric terrain turns.
:regieleki::tapu-koko::zeraora::raichu-alola: + :zapdos:
Zapdos's Ground-type immunity, bulk, and fire coverage make it an amazing defensive Pokemon for Electric-type teams. Heavy-duty Boots were a huge upgrade for it this gen.
:regieleki::tapu-koko::zeraora::raichu-alola::zapdos: + :rotom-wash:
Finally, we added Rotom-wash. It's water resistance, ground immunity, and natural bulk was enough to finish off our defensive core.
Shoutouts to: Harpp, RottenInfernape, n30nl3ess, Roxstarioer, sanshokusumireko, TeamBuilderTom, and Decem for helping make this awesome team!

Week 3 of DLC 2 CCAT is now open! We are accepting cores for the format: Gen 8 Monotype. Anyone is welcome to post!

In two weeks we will start accepting cores for the formats: Monotype AAA, Monotype STABmons, and Natdex Monotype in preparation for MWP!

Galarian Moltres+Grimmsnarl Dark

Moltres-Galar @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Berserk
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest / Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fiery Wrath
- Hurricane
- Nasty Plot
- Agility

Grimmsnarl (M) @ Light Clay
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Thunder Wave
- Spirit Break

Galarian Moltres felt kinda underwhelming with its stat distribution, getting its Spatk reduced in exchange for more Spdef. However, I think its bulk works great for running a sort of double dance variant. Its Speed is high enough to make it faster than nearly every relevant Scarfer after an Agility, and its STAB combination of Dark/Flying along with super powerful moves to back it up is extremely nice. The combination of all these traits makes it a great setup sweeper for one of Dark's most difficult matchups, being Fighting, while also being extremely helpful against Grass, Bug, and even Steel teams. Because it needs a lot of support to operate effectively, I've paired it with Screens Grimmsnarl as a means of giving it easier setup opportunities. Definitely interested in seeing how this will turn out.

The water core that I propose, although not very original, is solid and works very well together, composed of Tapu Fini CM + Slowbro Teleport.

This core in my opinion works perfectly thanks to slowbro which can bring back in a serene way tapu fini on the terrain, with teleport or threaten with a future sight if it is not resisted in the opposing team. This allows the tapu fini to be placed.
The heavy-duty boots are therefore essential to slowbro which ignores any entry hazard and can easily rotate to bring back an appropriate response afterwards, in addition to having an excellent physical bulk.
For tapu fini, the set allows him to act as a more solid version than primarina, and takes advantage of its mysty surge to block any status problems, it can set up on a large number of pokemon, especially defensively mons thanks to taunt, and draining kiss instead of moonblast allows him to gain longevity, being able to literally destroy dragon which is very strong in this meta. Scald is there to burn once the misty surge is gone, or even punish a flying mons.

Tapu Fini @ Leftovers
Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Taunt
- Draining Kiss
- Scald

Slowbro @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Scald
- Slack Off
- Teleport
- Future Sight

TSpikes Rune+Hex Spectrier

Rune is a great TSpikes and SR setter and greatly helps teammates come in safely with Memento. Spectrier is a scary Sweeper thanks wreaks havoc on anything that doesn't resist Ghost. A very simple idea leads to a very strong combination. Basically you lead Rune, who will usually get TSpikes off thanks to great bulk. Memento/WoW on your opponent to help come in safely. Spec comes in and sets up NP, as many times as you wish, kill the first mon out, and then start doing hefty damage with Hex thanks to the power boost on statused enemy's from TSpikes.

Runerigus @ Leftovers/ Mental Herb
Ability: Wandering Spirit
EV's: 252 Def/ 252 SpD/ 4 HP
Impish Nature
- Toxic Spikes
- Memento
- Will-o-Wisp
- Stealth Rock/ Poltergeist

Spectrier @ Life Orb
Ability: Grim Neigh
EV's: 252 Spe/ 252 Spa/ 4 Def
Timid Nature
- Hex
- Dark Pulse
- Nasty Plot
- Taunt

Garchomp @ Life Orb / Roseli Berry
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang / Stone Edge
- Scale Shot

Latias @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Mystical Fire
- Healing Wish

One of the new additions this DLC and a competitive pokemon staple just got an upgrade this gen. It’s not quite dragon dance, but scale shot gives sd garchomp a move that boosts its speed and allows it to break subs. I’m excited to see how this will be built around, especially since dragon got a shitton of new offensive toys, one of which is latias, who can soften stuff for chomp with a choice specs and give it emergency healing for late game sweeps.

Trick Room Escavalier

b5e608fc2cca18ae127deb8510a841f052ee3c89_00.gif

Escavalier @ Life Orb
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Def
Brave Nature
- Iron Head
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Swords Dance

Orbeetle @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Frisk
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Body Press
- U-turn
- Recover
- Trick Room

The team's basic idea is to use Trick Room Orbeetle so that slow Pokémon like Escavalier and Vikavolt become major threats. Orbeetle has a great movepool with moves like Body Press, U-turn, Recover, Magic Coat and Trick Room, being the only Bug Trick Room user. Escavalier is a slow physical attacker with access to Swords Dance and a great movepool with options like Megahorn, Iron Head, Close Combat, Drill Run, Knock Off and Razor Shell. Trick Room is a strategy rarely used in Bug teams, so moves that are not in bold can be adapted according to the team's needs.

I thank Tico 21 for helping me
