LC Specially Offensive Diglett

[SET]
name: Special Focus Sash
move 1: Earth Power
move 2: Sludge Bomb
move 3: Final Gambit
move 4: Protect
item: Focus Sash
ability: Arena Trap
nature: Timid
evs: 36 HP / 236 SpA / 236 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
This set is specifically to trap Grookey. Diglett can use Earth Power over Earthquake to not be hampered by Grassy Terrain and remove key components of the opponent's team, such as Pawniard and Mareanie. Sludge Bomb OHKOes non-Eviolite Grookey and hits niche threats like Morelull. Final Gambit allows Diglett to heavily damage an enemy when it doesn't have to remove Grookey, such as Ferroseed, Porygon, or Staryu. Protect lets Diglett keep Focus Sash intact through Stealth Rock if Grassy Terrain is active. It also blocks Mienfoo's Fake Out.

Pokemon weak to Grookey, such as Carvanha, Abra, Tyrunt, Shellos, and Staryu, greatly benefit from Diglett removing it. Grookey itself is a good teammate, as Grassy Terrain can offset Stealth Rock chip. Porygon and Abra benefit from Diglett removing opposing Steel-types, and Mienfoo benefits from the removal of Mareanie. When not facing Grookey, Final Gambit's guaranteed removal of weakened threats like Staryu and Trace Porygon helps out teammates such as Ponyta and Mudbray.

[SET COMMENTS]
Diglett has a very hard time dealing with Grookey normally due to Grassy Terrain making Earthquake weaker and a lack of super effective coverage. (Fluff) This set is specifically to counter and trap Grookey while still remaining effective as a trapper. By investing into Special Attack, (capitalization) Diglett can use Earth Power to not be hampered by Grassy Terrain while still being able to trap and remove key components of the opponents team (Provide examples!). Sludge Bomb, while not being a guaranteed KO on the Eviolite variant, always deals heavy damage to Grookey, preventing it from performing its role as consistently. OHKOs non-Eviolite Grookey and hits niche threats like Morelull. (This gets the same point across more concisely) Final Gambit allows Diglett to still deal large amounts of damage to enemies instantly when Earth Power wouldn’t work as well (Provide examples, e.g. Staryu) , in addition to gaining momentum by allowing a switch into another mon. (Fluff) Protect keeps Diglett's Focus Sash intact if Stealth Rock is up when switching into Grookey. Grassy Terrain will restore you to full. This can also deny Mienfoo’s Fake Out and scout Choice locked mons attacks. (This whole section is too wordy and should be a single sentence about how Protect lets Diglett keep Sash intact if Grassy Terrain is up / block foo fake outs. Don't talk about choice scouting here, that's fluff) Maximum Special Attack and Speed keep Diglett’s offensive prowess while not being hampered by Grassy Terrain, and HP allows Final Gambit to do more damage. It is important to note that Diglett’s Special Attack is lower than its Attack, so Stealth Rock, Knock Off and other forms of wearing down the enemy help it secure its KOs. (Fluff)

Anything
Pokemon weak to Grookey, such as Carvanha, Abra, Tyrunt and Staryu, (AC) greatly benefit from Grookey being removed. Grookey itself is a good teammate, (AC) as Grassy Terrain can offset Stealth Rock chip and Diglett can still function while Grassy Terrain is active. Porygon and Abra benefit from the removal of opposing Steel-types, (AC) and Mienfoo benefits from the removal of Mareanie. Specially bulky mons such as Frillish, Trace Porygon and Natu are all very hard to break without support. (Diglett isn't gonna be used to break these) Diglett is very easy to counter trap, so mons Pokemon (informal) such as Air Balloon Diglett, Trapinch, and Trace Porygon can remove it after finishing off an enemy Diglett after it finishes off a foe; (Put the section on Brooke from the next sentence here) Pawniard helps Diglett secure KOs against Bulkier Mons bulkier foes by setting up rocks and spreading Knock Off, while Grookey reduces the effectiveness of other trappers while threatening to KO them in return. (See previous note) Carvanha allows Diglett to come in on a steel type by using Flip Turn as well as get the needed chip to secure the OHKO on Pawniard. (You already mentioned carv at the beginning of the paragraph; also, Flip Turn usually just pops BJ leaving pawn at full.)

TheShoddyStrawman Tag me when this is implemented and I will stamp. The info is mostly fine, but there was a lot of fluff that I had to cut out. In addition, there were a number of formatting errors in this; please give the Spelling and Grammar Standards a read-over.

This set is specifically to counter and trap Grookey while still remaining effective as a trapper.(redudant wording and we want to focus on the main goal of the set, which is to trap Grookey) By investing into Special Attack,(RC) Diglett can use Earth Power to not be hampered by Grassy Terrain while still being able to trap and remove key components of the opponents team such as Pawniard or Mareanie. Sludge Bomb OHKOs non-Eviolite Grookey and hits niche threats like Morelull. Final Gambit allows Diglett to still deal large amounts of damage to enemies instantly when Earth Power wouldn’t work as well such as Ferroseed, Porygon or Staryu.(This wording is weird, and this isn't the goal of Final Gambit. It is to remove the threats mentioned above in non-Grookey matchups, where you might not benefit from preserving Diglett as much.) Protect lets Diglett keep Sash intact if Grassy Terrain is up and to block Meinfoo's Fake Out.(Mention the interaction for this. Protect lets Diglett heal back to full in Grassy Terrain after Stealth Rock. Also, please write out Focus Sash.) Maximum Special Attack and Speed keep Diglett’s offensive prowess while not being hampered by Grassy Terrain, and HP allows Final Gambit to do more damage. (fluff)

Pokemon weak to Grookey, such as Carvanha, Abra, Tyrunt and Staryu,(add shellos) greatly benefit from Grookey being removed. Grookey itself is a good teammate, as Grassy Terrain can offset Stealth Rock chip. Porygon and Abra benefit from the removal of opposing Steel-types, and Mienfoo benefits from the removal of Mareanie. Diglett is very easy to counter trap, so Pokemon such as Air Balloon Diglett, Trapinch, and Trace Porygon can remove Diglett after it finishes off a foe; Grookey reduces the effectiveness of other trappers while threatening to KO them in return. (not really necessary. If you trapped something with Diglett, you likely accomplished your goal.) Pawniard helps Diglett secure KOs against bulkier foes by setting up Stealth Rock and spreading Knock Off. (generic info)
- I would give 1-2 sentences on how it operates outside of the Grookey matchup, especially how it can enable teammates by removing their checks with Final Gambit
