This week we have a tie between Icium Victini and Ice Beam Tyranitar, if no one breaks the tie in 24 hours ill break it myself. This week we have another extremely common mon found on teams..

:ss/tornadus-therian:

How will you lure TornT ?

:SM/Kartana:
Kartana @ Normalium Z
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Giga Impact
- Leaf Blade
- Sacred Sword
- Swords Dance

Z giga impact kartana destroys torn after rocks, and it even kills not very HP invested torns without rocks usually.
252 Atk Kartana Breakneck Blitz (200 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Tornadus-Therian: 337-397 (93 - 109.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Rockium Z
Ability: Intimidate
Hidden Power: Ice
EVs: 252 HP / 112 SpD / 144 Spe
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- U-turn

Regardless if its offensive torn-t or defensive torn-t normally defensive landorus-t can bait torn-t in via showing u-turn as most rockium-z lando are not carrying u-turn and can constantly annoy it. With Rockium-Z it can absolutely destroy any type of tornadus-t as shown in the calcs and it has an even better MU vs pivot as it can switch into it. Offensive landorus-t loses to tornadus-t as it takes to much damage from flyinium-z.

252 SpA Tornadus-Therian Supersonic Skystrike (185 BP) vs. 252 HP / 112+ SpD Landorus-Therian: 258-304 (67.5 - 79.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

0 Atk Landorus-Therian Continental Crush (180 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Tornadus-Therian: 430-506 (143.3 - 168.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

0 SpA Tornadus-Therian Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 112+ SpD Landorus-Therian: 124-147 (32.4 - 38.4%) -- 98.4% chance to 3HKO

0 Atk Landorus-Therian Continental Crush (180 BP) vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Tornadus-Therian: 428-504 (118.2 - 139.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Clefable @ Icium Z
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 64 HP / 228 SpA / 216 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Moonblast
- Ice Beam
- Soft-Boiled
The standard utility set has no way of pressuring defensive:tornadus-therian: - Moonblast gets shrugged off by Regenerator and Taunt variant shuts down any attempts of healing & setting up, only being scared of Thunder Wave on the switch and the rare Knock Off. Hence, this set makes:clefable:the Stealth Rock setter - bluffing the aforementioned utility set - which invites in Defog:tornadus-therian:to the field, where it gets obliterated by Subzero Slammer when it decides to stay in. The standard Offensive:life-orb::clefable:might seem better, but it doesn't do the same job here: Fails to reach the same damage output (guarantees 2HKO even with Thunder) and more importantly, prone to:tornadus-therian:'s Knock Off. This set also matches well against some of the tier's common Defoggers such as:gliscor:,:landorus-therian:, &:zapdos: (the former 2 doesn't even require the Z-Move), allowing it to keep Stealth Rock up.

The EV spread allows it to OHKO Defog:tornadus-therian:with Z-Ice Beam, survive Z-Hurricane from offensive:tornadus-therian:, and outspeed Adamant:crawdaunt:.

228+ SpA Clefable Subzero Slammer (175 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Tornadus-Therian: 362-426 (100 - 117.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Tornadus-Therian Supersonic Skystrike (185 BP) vs. 64 HP / 0 SpD Clefable: 294-346 (84.7 - 99.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

P.S.: Running Blizzard instead of Ice Beam is an alternative option to give a slightly stronger Z-Move (still does the job of dealing with:tornadus-therian:), hence allowing:clefable:to invest in more bulk instead of SpA.

Buzzwole @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature

- Leech Life
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
- Poison Jab

Choice Scarf Buzzwole can lure in Tornadus-T pretty well, usually Tornadus-T can check it and threaten it with Hurricane and OHKOe it in the turn, but Choice Scarf Buzzwole has a great standing vs Tornadus-T. Tornadus-T can get hit by an Ice Punch and Ice Punch is really strong against Tornadus-T.

Furthermore, Buzzwole has Poison jab to lure in Fairy-types which usually counter it, like Tapu Fini, Tapu Lele, and Clefable. And with Earthquake it can lure in Toxapex and Mega Diancie Leech Life gives you health back. In Overall this set can surprise a lot of common Pokemon in the metagame.

calcs:
252+ Atk Buzzwole Ice Punch vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Tornadus-Therian: 228-270 (76 - 90%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Buzzwole Ice Punch vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Tornadus-Therian: 226-268 (62.4 - 74%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
