[OVERVIEW]

Slowking's higher Special Defense compared to Slowbro's allows it to much more safely check dangerous Pokemon such as Choice Specs Keldeo and Latios. A good defensive typing provides it with many useful resistances, and its ability Regenerator allows it to pivot consistently throughout a match. Slowking also has good coverage in Flamethrower and great utility options in Thunder Wave, Toxic, and Protect. However, Slowking's Defense stat is much lower than Slowbro's, forcing it to use Protect to have a chance in Pursuit mind games and making it a much more shaky check to physical attackers such as Mega Lopunny, Mega Metagross, and Gliscor. Its Water / Psychic typing also leaves it weak to common utility and coverage moves attacks like U-turn, Volt Switch, Knock Off, Pursuit, and Thunder Punch.

Moves
=========

Scald is highly spammable and offers a 30% chance to burn, threatening potential switch-ins like Tornadus-T, Ferrothorn, and Amoonguss. Protect is used to gain an extra turn of Leftovers recovery and scout opposing Choice-locked Pokemon. Slack Off in tandem with Regenerator helps Slowking stay healthy throughout the match. The last moveslot can be occupied by a number of viable options. Thunder Wave prevents Slowking from being unable to threaten Clefable and other switch-ins. Toxic is an alternative status choice that can cripple Pokemon that don’t mind Thunder Wave, such as Mega Slowbro and Rotom-W. Flamethrower prevents common Steel-types from getting free turns versus Slowking, such as Mega Scizor and Bisharp trying to set up with Swords Dance, Ferrothorn trying to lay entry hazards, and Mega Metagross and Magnezone looking to threaten Slowking with their Electric-type moves.

Set Details
=========

The given Special Defense investment along with a Calm Nature lets Slowking hit a number of defensive benchmarks, such as avoiding the 2HKO from Choice Specs Keldeo's Hidden Power Grass after Stealth Rock damage, the KO from Mega Charizard Y’s Flamethrower into Solar Beam, and the OHKO from Modest Choice Specs Hydreigon's Dark Pulse. The Defense investment allows Slowking to avoid the 2HKO from Adamant Mega Medicham's High Jump Kick after using Protect. Other notable benchmarks include Mega Metagross's Meteor Mash into Thunder Punch, Mega Diancie's Diamond Storm after Stealth Rock damage, and Mega Lopunny's Return, all of which either do not 2HKO or have a very small chance to do so.

Usage Tips
=========

Slowking should be used as a defensive pivot into Pokemon that cannot KO it like Mega Metagross, Keldeo, and Tornadus-T. From there, feel free to apply pressure with the threat of a Scald burn or Thunder Wave. Pivoting to heal with Regenerator after using Slack Off is unnecessary, as it makes you lose momentum. Protect helps scout whether the opponent is going to attempt to Pursuit trap Slowking or not and is useful in general to restore more HP with Leftovers. Use Slack Off when necessary, as Slowking needs to stay healthy to be able to check the Pokemon it's supposed to.

Team Options
========

Clefable is a great partner, serving as a late-game sweeper with Calm Mind; switch-in to Weavile, Latios, and Mega Altaria; and status absorber. Slowking can switch into Steel- and Fire-types like Mega Metagross, Excadrill, Heatran, and Mega Charizard Y in return. Tornadus-T forms a Regenerator core with Slowking, functions as a fast pivot with U-turn, and helps cover Slowking's Grass-type weakness. Dragon Dance Mega Altaria is a late-game sweeper and appreciates Slowking switching into Ice-types. It can also remove status from Slowking with Heal Bell and pivot into Electric-types that threaten Slowking, such as Magnezone and Rotom-W. Heatran and Excadrill make for great partners, as both are able to counter Clefable and set Stealth Rock. Excadrill can also remove hazards with Rapid Spin and switch into Electric-types. On the other hand, Heatran counters Grass-types like Serperior and Mega Venusaur. Slowking can cover Excadrill's weaknesses by switching into Water- and Fighting-types like Keldeo and Mega Lopunny. Tangrowth and Amoonguss are two defensive Grass-types that also form a Regenerator core with Slowking. Tangrowth checks physical attackers such as Mega Metagross and Gliscor, which Slowking may be unable to check alone. Amoonguss can act as a switch-in to Clefable and backup counter to Keldeo, while Slowking can switch into Heatran, Latios, and Tornadus-T.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
=========

Other Options
=========

Calm Mind and Nasty Plot are two options that allow Slowking to function as a standalone defensive sweeper, but Mega Slowbro is a better Calm Mind sweeper because it has better physical bulk and is less vulnerable to status. Fire Blast can be used over Flamethrower to deal more damage but suffers from inaccuracy and low PP. Colbur Berry can be used without Protect to help Slowking versus Pursuit and free up a coverage or status option. Dragon Tail is useful for phazing a boosted Suicune, Volcarona, Gliscor, or Reuniclus. Power Gem is a coverage option that does more damage to Mega Charizard Y, Volcarona, and Talonflame, but it is generally an inferior option to the listed moves.

Checks and Counters
=========

**Status-immune Pokemon**: Clefable and Reuniclus both have Magic Guard and are able to use Slowking as setup fodder, only fearing Thunder Wave. Mega Slowbro with Rest is also able to use Calm Mind in front of Slowking and heal off any damage and status conditions. Gliscor is able to comfortably use Slowking as setup fodder once its Toxic Orb has activated, and it avoids the 2HKO from Scald. Mega Altaria can use Refresh or Heal Bell to remove status conditions. Chansey and Starmie both have Natural Cure and can remove status simply by switching out.

**Physical Attackers**: Mega Metagross and Mega Medicham with Thunder Punch are able to easily break through Slowking. Mega Scizor fears Scald burns and the occasional Fire-type coverage but is able to cripple Slowking with a strong U-turn or Knock Off. Strong neutral physical attacks only need a small amount of prior chip to be able to 2HKO Slowking, such as Mega Diancie's Diamond Storm, Mega Lopunny's Return, and offensive Landorus-T’s and Excadrill's Earthquake.

**Dark-types**: Weavile and Bisharp can OHKO Slowking with Knock Off, and Bisharp can even set up with Swords Dance. Tyranitar can easily 2HKO Slowking with Crunch and only fears a Scald burn or Thunder Wave. Hydreigon can use Dark Pulse to heavily damage Slowking but has to risk a Scald burn or Thunder Wave in retaliation.

**Status Effects**: Burn and Toxic poison severely limit Slowking's ability to switch into its usual checks and are dealt out by common Pokemon such as Heatran, Rotom-W, Slowbro, Garchomp, Excadrill, Keldeo, and more. Paralysis from Rotom-W, Clefable, and Ferrothorn will not wear Slowking down but can prevent it from safely scouting the foe's move or getting off an attack.

**Grass-types**: Amoonguss, Venusaur, and Tangrowth take little damage from any of Slowking's attacks and threaten it out with sleep in the case of Amoonguss, Knock Off in the case of Venusaur, or both in the case of Tangrowth. Serperior is a more offensive counter that does not switch in continually but can set up with Leaf Storm against Slowking. However, none of these Pokemon appreciate being burned or paralyzed, and switching into Flamethrower repeatedly can be troublesome for them.

[OVERVIEW]

Slowking boasts 30 more points than Slowbro in its Special Defense, allowing it to much more safely check dangerous Pokemon such as Choice Specs Keldeo and Latios (make torn t or zard y or something else more relevant over latios imo) . A good defensive typing provides it with many useful resistances, and its Hidden Ability (don’t need specify hidden ability, we’re not an in-game site) Regenerator allows Slowking to pivot consistently throughout a match. Slowking also has good coverage in Flamethrower, and great utility options in Thunder Wave, Toxic, and Protect (why are they great? even a sparknotes version would go a long way). However, Slowking’s Defense stat is much lower than its Kanto counterpart, forcing it to use Protect to have a chance vs Pursuit mind games (only applies to weavile and tar imo. ig gross too depending on calcs but eh), and leading it to be a much more shaky check to Physical attackers such as Mega Lopunny and Mega Metagross. (imo u could also say its worse at checking glisc, even if has beam. slowbro with beam can barely do it as is and how keld burn can still be quite hindering). A Water- and Psychic-typing (dex filler, gut it) also leaves it weak to attacks such as U-turn, Volt Switch, Knock, Pursuit, and Thunder Punch (why is it so bad? specify, mainly cause tpunch and suit means ur p shit vs gross.) A base 30 Speed also ensures that Slowking will almost always be moving last on the field. Despite some shortcomings, Slowking is very much viable in the ORAS OU meta.

Scald is Slowking’s STAB move of choice, offering a 30% chance to burn. (mention how spammable it is) Protect is used to gain an extra turn of Leftovers and scout opposing Choice-locked Pokemon. Slack Off is Slowkings recovery move of choice, used to keep it healthy throughout the match (say “in tandem with regen”) The last moveslot can be occupied by a number of viable options. Thunder Wave prevents Slowking from being unable to threaten Clefable and other switch-ins. Toxic is an alternative status choice that cripple non-magic guard (so steels get poisoned? just remove the crossed bit, its pointless, especially since the twave clef thing makes it clear tox doesnt do shit) Pokemon such as Mega Slowbro and Rotom (could say tornt or somethin else ig. up to u tbh). Flamethrower prevents common Steel-Types from getting free turns vs Slowking, such as Mega Scizor and Bisharp trying to Swords Dance, Ferrothorn trying to lay hazards, and Mega Metagross and Magnezone looking to threaten Slowking with their Electric-type moves.

The Physical Defense investment allows Slowking to live 2 Adamant Mega Medicham High Jump Kicks, factoring in the extra turn of Leftovers gained from using Protect. Other notable benchmarks include Mega Metagross’s Meteor Mash into Thunder Punch, Mega Diancie’s Diamond Storm after Stealth Rock, Mega Lopunny’s Return, all of which either do not 2HKO or have a very small chance to do so.

[USAGE TIPS]
=========

Slowking should be used as a Defensive pivot into Pokemon that cannot knock it out. From there feel free to apply pressure with the threat of status via Scald and Thunder Wave. Pivoting to heal with Regenerator when using Slack Off is not needed is recommended so as to not lose momentum. Protect helps scout whether the opponent is going to attempt to Pursuit trap Slowking or not (only super relevent vs scarftar and weavile tbh), and is useful to use in general to restore more health with Leftovers. When Slack Off is needed to heal the appropriate amount be sure to use it as Slowking needs to be very healthy to consistently check the Pokemon it is supposed to switch into.

[TEAM OPTIONS]
========

Clefable is a great partner, not only serving as a win-condition (specify cm is the wincon set), but can switch into the Dark- and Dragon-types that can force Slowking out (like?) and appreciates Slowking switching into Steel-types (like? maybe also say how burning shit like ferro lets it more easily run cm bolt beam or somethin?). Tornadus-T forms a Regenerator core with Slowking, able to function as a fast pivot into Grass-types and provides utility with Knock Off (how does this utility help slowking? what else does torn bring to the table, mention keeping momentum. say how slowking provides too. this section is so bare) Mega Altaria appreciates Slowking switching into Ice-types and can Heal Bell any status off of Slowking and switch into Electric-types that threaten Slowking out (say how alts also a wincon). Excadrill makes for a great partner able to counter Magic Guard (its oras clef, unaware is shit and no one uses it. also u beat unaware anyway so lol) Clefable , set up and remove hazards, and switch into Electric-types (like? it loses to rotom, the first elec i and most people think of so specify), while Slowking can cover Excadrill’s weakness to Fighting- and Water-type attacks (say what specific mons it checks for it, ik ur implying keld ofc. but mention other not as obvious ones that u wouldnt think of by typing alone. maybe say eq gross lackin tpunch too? probs uneeded). Tangrowth and Amoonguss are two defensive Grass-types that also form a Regenerator core. Tangrowth covers stronger Physical attackers that Slowking may be unable to check (like?) while Amoonguss can form as a switch in to Clefable and a backup counter to Keldeo. (what does slowking do for them?)

Calm Mind and Nasty Plot are two options that allow Slowking to function as a standalone defensive sweeper. (why doesnt it work? that sounds good on paper) Fire Blast can be used over Flamethrower to deal more damage, but suffers from inaccuracy and low PP. Colbur berry can be used without Protect to help Slowking vs Pursuit and free up a coverage/status option. Dragon Tail is useful for phasing and allows Slowking to send out a boosted Suicune (u dont phaze a sub’d cune, which it’s gonna get vs u) and Reuniclus. Power Gem is a coverage option to do more damage to Mega Charizard-Y, Volcarona, and Talonflame. (why’s this bad? explain)

[CHECKS AND COUNTERS]
=========

Status-Immune Pokemon: (why not just name this soemthin like “status resiliant or somethin? sayin status immune then discussing how theyre cripplied by twave is a mislead) Clefable and Reuniclus both use Magic Guard and are able to use Slowking as setup fodder and only fear Thunder Wave. Mega Slowbro using Rest is also able to use Calm Mind in front of Slowking and heal off any damage and status conditions. Gliscor is able to comfortably set up Slowking once its Toxic Orb has activated, able to avoid the 2HKO from Scald. Mega Altaria can use Refresh/Heal Bell to remove status conditions. Chansey and Starmie both use Natural Cure and can remove Status simply by switching out. (mention for the setup mons that dtail phazes em, except for clef, makin it an even great king abuser)

Physical Attackers: Mega Metagross and Mega Medicham using Thunder Punch are able to easily break through Slowking. Mega Scizor fears Scald-burns and the occasional Fire-coverage but is able to cripple Slowking with a strong U-Turn or Knock Off. (maybe say how stuff like drill can 2hko on the switch or somethin? idk, this section just feels pretty empty)

Dark-Types: Weavile and Bisharp can OHKO Slowking with Knock Off, and Bisharp can even set up Slowking with Swords Dance (on the switch. also weavile suit traps).Tyranitar can easily 2HKO Slowking with Crunch and only fears Scald burn or Thunder Wave (no suit mention?). Hydreigon can use Dark Pulse to heavily damage Slowking where Slowking can only Status Hydreigon in return (twaving or chipping/burning a hydrei is p fucking nice tho. especially when the evs above live the most powerful pulse its gonna possibly have.).

Status Effects: Burn and Toxic severely limit Slowking’s ability to switch into its usual checks. Paralysis does not wear Slowking down but can prevent it from safely scouting the opponent’s move or getting off an attack. (what mons deal each status? especially worth noting cause of keldeo scald)

Grass-Types: Amoonguss, Venusaur, and Tangrowth take little from any of Slowkings attacks and threaten it out. (amoong gets frre spore and tang gets knock and or sleep) Serperior is a more offensive counter that does not switch in continually but threatens it out nonetheless (uses king for psuedo setup fodder due to sub and or leaf storm.
(they dont like flame nor a scald burn or tox)

could mention entry hazards since they cut into regen and since king with no flame needs to rely on scald burn for ferro. same for rockers like potential clef or toxic helm chomp)

Excellent work!
One tiny addition if you wanna add in the Moves section a few mentions of what Scald is used against.
Obviously its stab and has a 30% chance to burn targets which is very valuable but i would like if you mentioned 2-3 of the targets that fear being burnt by it like Mega Metagross, Excadrill, Bisharp.
Perfect analysis QC 1/2

Not much to say here good job all around:

Moves:
just swap around Slack Off and Thunder Wave in the move order to match the moves paragraph mentioning wise.

[TEAM OPTIONS]
========
Additionally, list Heatran as a partner to take on Grass-types and Bug-types, mainly Serperior, Volcarona among others.

Slowking should be used as a Defensive pivot into Pokemon that cannot knock it out.
examples?

Fire Blast can be used over Flamethrower to deal more damage, but suffers from inaccuracy and low PP. Dragon Tail is useful for phasing and allows Slowking to send out a boosted Suicune, Volcarona, Gliscor, and Reuniclus. Power Gem is a coverage option that does more damage to Mega Charizard-Y, Volcarona, and Talonflame, but is generally an inferior option to the listed moves.

[CHECKS AND COUNTERS]

Magic Guard and status-immune Pokemon: Clefable and Reuniclus both have Magic Guard and are able to use Slowking as setup fodder, only fearing Thunder Wave. Mega Slowbro with Rest is also able to use Calm Mind in front of Slowking and heal off any damage and status conditions. Gliscor is able to comfortably use Slowking as setup fodder once its Toxic Orb has activated, able to avoid the 2HKO from Scald. Mega Altaria can use Refresh/Heal Bell to remove status conditions. Chansey and Starmie both have Natural Cure and can remove status simply by switching out.

Physical Attackers: Mega Metagross and Mega Medicham with Thunder Punch are able to easily break through Slowking. Mega Scizor fears Scald burns and the occasional Fire coverage but is able to cripple Slowking with a strong U-Turn or Knock Off. Strong neutral physical attacks only need a small amount of prior chip to be able to 2HKO Slowking, such as Mega Diancie’s Diamond Storm, Mega Lopunny’s Return, and Attack invested Landorus-T’s and Excadrill’s Earthquake.

Dark-Types: Weavile and Bisharp can OHKO Slowking with Knock Off, and Bisharp can even set up with Swords Dance. Tyranitar can easily 2HKO Slowking with Crunch and only fears a Scald burn or Thunder Wave. Hydreigon can use Dark Pulse to heavily damage Slowking but has to risk a Scald burn or Thunder Wave in retaliation.

Status Effects: Burn and Toxic severely limit Slowking’s ability to switch into its usual checks, and are dealt out by common Pokemon, such as Heatran, Rotom-W, Slowbro, Garchomp, Excadrill, Keldeo, and more. Paralysis from Rotom-W, Clefable, and Ferrothorn will not wear Slowking down but can prevent it from safely scouting the opponent’s move or getting off an attack.

Grass-Types: Amoonguss, Venusaur, and Tangrowth take little damage from any of Slowking's attacks and threaten it out. Amoonguss with sleep, Venusaur with Knock Off, and Tangrowth with both. Serperior is a more offensive counter that does not switch in continually but can set up with a free Leaf Storm. However, none of these Pokemon appreciate being burnt or paralyzed, and switching into repeated Flamethrowers can be troublesome.

Slowking boasts 30 more points than Slowbro in its Special Defense, allowing it Slowking's higher Special Defense compared to Slowbro's allows Slowking to much more safely check dangerous Pokemon, (RC) (maybe use a more specific description like "special attackers" since you mentioned its better special defense) such as Choice Specs Keldeo and Latios. A good defensive typing provides it with many useful resistances, and its ability Regenerator allows Slowking it to pivot consistently throughout a match. Slowking also has good coverage in Flamethrower, (RC) and great utility options in Thunder Wave, Toxic, and Protect. However, Slowking’s Defense stat is much lower than of its Kanto counterpart Slowbro, forcing it to use Protect to have a chance in Pursuit mind games, (RC) and leading it to be a much more shaky check to physical attackers such as Mega Lopunny, Mega Metagross, and Gliscor. A Water- and Psychic-typing also leaves it weak to attacks like U-turn, Volt Switch, Knock Off, Pursuit, and Thunder Punch. A base Base 30 Speed also ensures that Slowking will almost always be moving last on the field. Despite some shortcomings, Slowking is very much viable in the ORAS OU metagame.

Scald is Slowking’s STAB move of choice, being highly spammable and offering a 30% chance to burn, threatening potential switch-ins like Tornadus-T, Ferrothorn, and Amoonguss. Toxic is an alternative status choice that can cripple Pokemon that don’t mind Thunder Wave, such as Mega Slowbro and Rotom (ik all rotom formes are immune but it's best to specify the most relevant one).

[SET DETAILS] Set Details
=========
The given Special Defense investment along with a Calm nature lets Slowking hit a number of defensive benchmarks, such as avoiding the 2HKO from Choice Specs Keldeo’s Hidden Power Grass after Stealth Rock damage, the KO from Mega Charizard Y’s Flamethrower into Solar Beam, and the OHKO from Modest Choice Specs Hydreigon’s Dark Pulse. The Defense investment allows Slowking to live a High Jump Kick from +2 Adamant Mega Medicham High Jump Kick, factoring in the extra turn of Leftovers gained from using Protect. Other notable benchmarks include Mega Metagross’s Meteor Mash into Thunder Punch, Mega Diancie’s Diamond Storm after Stealth Rock damage, and Mega Lopunny’s Return, all of which either do not 2HKO or have a very small chance to do so.

[USAGE TIPS] Usage Tips
=========

Protect helps scout whether the opponent is going to attempt to Pursuit trap Slowking or not, (RC) and is useful in general to restore more HP with Leftovers. Use Slack Off when necessary, as Slowking needs to stay consistently healthy to be able to check the Pokemon it's supposed to.

Tornadus-T forms a Regenerator core with Slowking,(AC) (leftover mark from amcheck, but still remove the comma) and functions as a fast pivot with U-turn, also covering helping to cover Slowking's Grass-type weakness. Dragon Dance Mega Altaria acts as a win condition wincon and appreciates Slowking switching into Ice-types. It can also use Heal Bell to get rid of any status off of remove status from Slowking with Heal Bell (otherwise sounded like heal bell can help it pivot as well) and pivot into Electric-types that threaten Slowking, such as Magnezone and Rotom-W. Heatran and Excadrill make for great partners, as both are able to counter Clefable and set Stealth Rocks. Excadrill can also remove hazards with Rapid Spin and switch into Electric-types. On the other hand, Heatran counters Grass-types like Serperior and Mega Venusaur. Slowking can cover Excadrill’s weaknesses by switching into Water- and Fighting-types like Keldeo and Mega Lopunny. Tangrowth and Amoonguss are two defensive Grass-types that also form a Regenerator core with Slowking. Tangrowth checks physical attackers, such as Mega Metagross and Gliscor, which Slowking may be unable to check alone. Amoonguss can act as a switch-in to Clefable and as a backup counter to Keldeo, while Slowking can switch into Heatran, Latios, and Tornadus-T.

Base 30 Speed also ensures that Slowking will almost always be moving last on the field (okay, so what does that mean? moving last isn't inherently bad). I think I'd just rephrase the Calm Mind point to "but Mega Slowbro is a better Calm Mind sweeper because it has better physical bulk and is less vulnerable to status" for clarity) off.
