[SET COMMENTS]
Sinistcha makes for a great addition for Grass teams, by virtue of its great physical bulk, a great ability in Heatproof both giving it a better matchup against Gouging Fire, and a Ghost-typing that allows it to threaten Fighting teams and spinblock. Matcha Gotcha is STAB that is not only a form of recovery, but also allows Sinistcha to potentially burn switch-ins like Dragonite and Iron Hands. Shadow Ball is consistent STAB that targets Ghost- and Psychic-types like Pecharunt, Hatterene, and Slowbro. After one Calm Mind boost, Sinistcha survives a Shadow Ball from Choice Scarf Flutter Mane and OHKOes back with Shadow Ball after entry hazard damage. Alternatively, Hex can be used to take advantage of potential burn from Matcha Gotcha to deal higher damage, and it synergizes well with its status-spreading teammates. Strength Sap allows Sinistcha to take advantage of strong physical attackers it takes hits from with ease like Breloom, Sneasler, and Gouging Fire, the latter of which is a crucial target due to potentially sweeping Grass teams, to recover large amounts of its HP. Alternatively, Iron Defense allows Sinistcha to further boost its great Defense to better take hits from Choice Band users such as Hisuian Arcanine and Zamazenta, as well as counter setup attempts from sweepers like Hisuian Lilligant. A combination of Strength Sap and Iron Defense ensures Sinistcha easily takes hits from Gouging Fire, but it comes at the cost of foregoing Matcha Gotcha, and its potential status spreading with it. Substitute can also be used to take advantage of passive walls such as Toxapex, Clodsire, and Amoonguss to set up a Calm Mind. However, Strength Sap is preferred since it is Sinistcha's main form of recovery apart from Matcha Gotcha. 96 Speed EVs allow Sinistcha to outspeed and threaten Azumarill.
Toedscruel makes for a great teammate, as Sinistcha appreciates the hazards Brambleghast places that aid it. Physically defensive Amoonguss is a great defensive partner, as with its great physical bulk, it handles threats to it like Meowscarada and Roaring Moon and immobilize either with Spore. In return, Sinistcha handles the Psychic-types that threaten it. Ogerpon-C and Abomasnow handle Flying-types that Sinistcha dislikes, with Ogerpon-C handling Articuno, Moltres, and Gyarados, while Abomasnow targets Gliscor, Dragon Dance Dragonite, and the Landorus formes. Additionally, Abomasnow further boosts Sinistcha's bulk on top of Calm Mind with Aurora Veil, thus making it harder to take down. The two of them appreciate Sinistcha handling Fighting-types like Iron Hands and Okidogi and weakening them with burn as well as its Fire neutrality. By removing bulky Ghost- and Fighting-types, Sinistcha enables setup sweepers like Ogerpon-H and Hisuian Lilligant to sweep in the late-game. Choice Scarf Meowscarada is Grass's best form of speed control, outspeeding and threatening a multitutde of threats like Choice Scarf Gholdengo, Dragapult, Roaring Moon, and Choice Scarf Hoopa-U while also providing momentum for its teammates with U-turn Breloom and Rillaboom act as revenge killers with Mach Punch and Grassy Glide respectively. Additionally, Breloom is also able to immobilize a threat to Sinistcha with Spore, while Rillaboom provides Grassy Terrain to both boost Sinistcha's Matcha Gotcha and give it an additional form of recovery. Substitute + Nasty Plot Hydrapple makes for another great teammate, as it can take advantage of passive walls such as Empoleon and Amoonguss to set up a Nasty Plot and threaten the likes of Hisuian Goodra, bulky Dragon Dance Gouging Fire, and Archaludon.

Stun Spore can also be used so that Sinistcha weakens faster threats such as Zamazenta and potential setup sweepers such as Dragonite. However, its low accuracy makes it a less viable option compared to Sinistcha's main moves.
