May not be a simple question, but how do you build sun in LC? It seems super fun but I suck at teambuilding in LC. If there are any videos discussing the topic. Please link them!

With how hyper-specialised sun is, it's kind of hard to "build" per se, as the current sun teams used in the meta right now are pretty optimised, if that makes sense. That being said if you wanna try, If I had to rank the components of a sun team in order of necessity it would look something like

S-Tier - Vulpix, Scarf Charmander
A-Tier - Diglett, Defog Timburr, Ponyta
B-Tier - Larvesta, Natu, Magby, Other Random Stuff.

Here are some sun teams you can use as inspiration:

:vulpix: :charmander: :ponyta: :diglett: :timburr: :natu: - Standard Sun

:vulpix: :charmander: :ponyta: :diglett: :timburr: :larvesta: - Lily Sun

:vulpix: :charmander: :ponyta: :diglett: :natu: :trubbish:- Trubbish Sun (this one might be bad)

Finally, here is a replay of the second team being used effectively in a match between top players in a Little Cup tournament

I hope this helps!

hi, could you explain a bit about magby being a possibility? im pretty sure that fire punch is the only move it would run that benefits from sun, and i doubt that you would really need it anyway since +6 magby is really strong

also would sun teams run into issues of stacking weaknesses, considering half or more of the team is sharing a type (fire)

Here's a replay from LCPL finals of Magby Sun. Magby for one is just really good, can exploit burns from Larvesta, gives sun a secondary sweeper with Charmander, and can exploit its checks like Onix being worn down by it's teammates fire spam. It's definitely a decent option.

This is definitely an issue, but you also have to remember that while you may be stacking weaknesses, having so many fire types means that your opponent's fire resist(s) (if they have one) will be under extreme strain. Sun is kind of a feast or famine playstyle for that reason.

Sun struggles with slow bulky waters, which Magby beats, and sun can provide setup vs said bulky waters for Magby. Magby also beats many Carvanha teams, which sun has major difficulties switching into, provided you can set rocks to break diglett's focus sash. Diglett can also easily slot memento on these structures if Magby is ran, so it can get setup that way too.
